The home inspection seemed to serve the real estate agent whom I'd mistakenly asked for a referral. The inspector failed to catch a MAJOR issue with the foundation. I mean HUGE. I am now spending another $6,100 to put support under the house. This guy failed to even see that the house was sitting on a sill plate and had not one beam supporting it. He failed to tell me that the bricks the house was supported by were on dirt and NOT on concrete pads, consequently, the house has slipped causing huge cracks in the walls inside. Windows and doors are no longer true and I just spent $5,000 on all new windows. ALL OF THIS AFTER HE SAID THIS IS A SOLID HOUSE. In the end, he refunded my money after I had the foundation redone on the periphery but now 2 years later, I am having to redo the entire support beam structure under the house (work starts February 2014). ALSO, he never said the house didn't have soffet vents. So I spent $1800 on insulation in the attic after the new roof was put on and the house has downdrafts so bad that the insulation is compressed and inefficient now. Also, the shingles are curling and the insulation in the attic has gotten wet and is no longer keeping the heat in the home. I can only do one thing at a time but if I were you, I would start with an inspector who is more structural and doesn't just test the furnace and appliances. Note: The address was changed from 7101 N. Lamar St. to 7103 Lamar Ave.

They did an okay job. They did a pretty thorough job and the book that they gave us kind of gave us some suggestions and that kind of stuff for continuing on with keeping our stuff so that was good. As far as I can remember, the price was probably more on the medium but it was a reasonable price. I don't remember it being exorbitant or cheap, it was probably in the middle. They were pretty responsive and professional.

They were helpful and friendly. They were on time and told us what we were to expect. The price was reasonable compared to other companies.
