+ -1 moreWhile we bought fireplace from Western Fireplace (separate review), Northco Design - Brian Kelly (the owner) and Joel did the tear-out/removal and framing for the new fireplace. Done 100% to specifications. They also worked with us to pick out updated tile to surround the fireplace and we ended up with a really eye-popping choice that was installed very well-totally flush with our display cabinet. Brian and Joel both have a good eye for design choices and they are perfectionists who take their time to do it right. While they would do a really great job on high-end projects, they worked with us on a budget and we felt in the end that our little project was high end and it looks it. Always responsive, always punctual, hard-working, fair-priced, trustworthy and friendly as all get out, Need I say more?
Description of Work: We needed to replace a non-functional gas fireplace, which involved tearing out the existing fireplace, venting, frame and chimney. We also had to have the existing tile removed and update it with more modern tile.

Description of Work: Brian came out to inspect and check 2 gas fireplaces in our recently purchased home. He was actually early for the appointment but called ahead to make sure it was ok with us. Took off their shoes and used a drop cloth to keep the carpets clean. He explained everything he did using everyday terms. Explained everything to my wife and answered every question with patience. Told us that our equipment was old, which we knew, but assured us that everything was functioning normally. Didn't try to sell anything. Great experience.

+ -1 moreBrian Kelly inspected and adjusted our fireplace with gas logs. He and his assistant were punctual and very professional. Without even being asked, they took off their shoes and put down tarps to keep our floors and fireplace hearth clean. Along with the inspection and adjustment, they cleaned the soot covered logs and glass, vacuumed the fireplace, added silica sand and glowing embers, and generally got our fireplace working safely again. We are delighted with the results and would highly recommend them.
