The contract specified that the work would take one day to complete. I was told they would arrive at 8:00 a.m. and took off from work to be home for this. When no one arrived by 10:30 a.m., I called the company and spoke with "James" who told me the installers would be there soon. Two young men in their 20's arrived about 11:00 then left within several hours indicating they would return the next day. They did return the following day but completed the job days later. In February 2012, following a heavy snow storm and when the temperature rose and over the course of a week, water began streaming from behind the gutters near our front door and into the soffit where it did considerable damage to the both the soffit and fascia. I called Premier Gutter and a person with the company said they would come out and inspect. I then received a phone call indicating the installation of the gutters was not correct and that they would send a crew out to make the repairs when the weather improved. I asked they repair the soffit also. After no response to multiple phone call messages and emails, I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. Premier Seamless Gutter's response was, "The reason the job/repair was never scheduled was due to us already resolving what the problem was and that It was not connected to our installation. The homeowner had an "Ice Daming [sic]" problem." The company has done nothing to remedy this situation. While they insist the problem lies with ice damming, we continue to get water leaking behind the gutters into the soffit area and also water seeping through the joints. I have taken pictures of this during heavy rain storms. Because of the futility dealing with this company, I had a representative from Academy Roofing inspect the gutters. He informed me the installation was faulty, which was causing water to drain behind the gutters; the corners were poorly mitered; and, that the gutters along the west side of the home were not pitched properly, resulting in standing water at the center that overflowed during rain storms. The estimated cost to make the necessary repairs was approximately $700. Though told of this and promised someone from their company would call me, no one from Premier Seamless Gutter has contacted me. In sum, my experience with this company has been completely unsatisfactory, which is why I have given them an F rating. They have been unresponsive and will not honor their 3-year warranty. Ironically, they provided me with a document indicating, "If you are ever dissatisfied with any aspect of our merchandise, service, or the way we do business, please let us know. We are pledged to resolve any misunderstanding or complaint. A satisfied customer is our most important asset." Clearly, they are unwilling to practice what they preach.

Anytime we have a customer who has a negative experience with us we have always tried to make it right. Sometimes we are successful however, sometimes alternative means of dispute resolution need to be taken. That is what we have dealt with in this particular instance, the Better Business Bureau even felt that we tried to resolve the issue in a fair manner. Although, we have offered on numerous times to meet with the Customer and even tried to resolve the problem though the Better Business Bureau's dispute resolution it is still not resolved. We truly believe the problem's on this particular customer's home is not due to our technician's installation. We have been to his property on multiple occasions and reached the same conclusion each time. As far as the arrival time we quote an estimated arrival time but due to circumstances beyond our control we do not always make it there within that specified time frame. This is in part due to traffic issues, supply house waits, etc. We do however try to contact the homeowner once we realize we will arrive outside of the travel time and we were unable to reach him via telephone. When it comes to estimating how long the work will take we give an industry average based on the project. However, we do not rush through any project and we firmly believe in taking our time to make sure it is done right. That is why we have thousands of satisfied customers. We currently have an email that was send to this particular customer and copied to the Better Business Bureau offering to come back out again and assess the problems he is experiencing at his house. We have not received a response to date from him to allow us to assess the problems he is experiencing. We do not believe that this issue falls under our workmanship warranty and would rather be a new claim that he should file with his homeowner's insurance company. The customer was satisfied with the work when he inspected the property and even paid his bill in full immediately the day the job was completed. It was when the extreme temperatures hit that he started to experience the issues he is having. We stand by the conclusion that the issue he is having is Ice Damning and we also understand that he is very frustrated with this issue. However, we can only do so much as the problem is not a direct result of the products we installed. We did offer to put him in touch with reputable contractor's that handle Ice Damning issues which are usually a result to poor insulation. However, he has not taken us up on that offer. We are truly sorry that this customer feels that we have not lived up to our expectations as we pride ourselves on Customer Service and our ability to rectify any problems that may arise at a job site. We have had very few complaints through the years that we have not been able to resolve in a fair manner to our customers however we do feel that we have tried to resolve this issue.
