Dean was very professional and helpful, his son was with him and his son was equally courteous and helpful. We would highly recommend this company.

I was informed by his office that Dean was running a little late on another job and given an approximate time he would arrive at my home. He performed the work efficiently and didn't leave ashes around. He mentioned two issues around the chimney that my husband (a very handy guy) could take care of himself. The cost was the same as originally estimated.

My experience with Dean was terrific. He was incredibly professional, courteous, honest and patient. He took time to explain things and to make sure I understood what was going on. I called Dean and two others based on reviews here in Angie's List. Surprisingly, Dean was the only one to return my call. He was polite and professional on the phone, so I scheduled an appointment right away (I didn't want to waste time getting two more bids only to save what would probably amount to only a little bit of money, if anything at all). Approximately 35 minutes before our appointment, someone from Dean's company called to let me know he would be 35 minutes late and asked if it would be a problem. I didn't mind, and I did not penalize him in my ratings on angie's list because I appreciate that he called BEFORE he was late, rather than waiting until he was already late to call. I appreciated the courtesy of the call. He arrived a few minutes earlier than expected. He had a clean appearance and was every bit as courteous and professional in person as he was on the phone. He got right to work, and kept me informed the each and every step of the way. He reached into our flu and He provided a lot of good advice on how to warm our flu before our next fire, about how to seal the unused flus so more birds/critters don't get down in them, and how to make sure we open and close our flu properly (ours is a little tricky). He never once tried to upsell me. In fact, he "downsold" me on cleaning my basement chimney. He was quick and efficient. And again, I can't emphasize this enough, he was professional and respectful. And he left our home clean (or at least as clean as it was when he arrived). Dean was awesome. I sincerely appreciate contractors and service providers who treat their customers and their customers' homes with respect. I will definitely hire him again for some of his other services - duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, gutter cleaning, etc. And way to go Angie's List - all the positive reviews were 100% correct!

Dean Geypins, the owner, performed the work on our chimney. As a new homeowner, his knowledge about our house, the local area and animals was extremely helpful. His first visit was an inspection and to provide a quote and because it was early fall and the time when raccoons look for new homes in chimneys, he installed our two chimney caps that day. He then came back 2 weeks later to complete the work. The most expensive portion of the work was repairing the crown of the chimney that was cracking. That alone was $320. The total for all work was more than I'd expected, however, peace of mind goes a long way. Dean was a pleasure to work with, but I'd wished he'd washed his hands before sitting at my dining room table.

The CSA rep, Dean, showed up at my house looking professional & got right down to business. Laid a rug down so he wouldn't get my carpet dirty & took the time to explain the work he was about to perform. The price was reasonable & well worth the piece of mind.

The two reps showed up about 20min early and performed a thorough cleaning to my high efficiency fireplace. I am new to fireplace ownership so I peppered the guys with questions about maintenance and operations and wood quality and moisture content. I paid $155 for the cleaning and feel I received a good additional value in information too. They mentioned they clean out dryer vents during the visit, so I asked that they check out mine. It was filthy, so they cleaned that out too. I believe that service was $95. The whole visit was around 90min.

They were very punctual and professional. For a job that took 15 minutes I found it overpriced.

John spread a cloth on the carpeting to protect our rug "just in case", and then ran a camera up into the chimney. When he was finished, he told us that it didn't need cleaning, and that everything was in good shape. However, it was capped, so we couldn't use it. He gave us a price for uncapping and installing a vent, and we approved that work. After it was done, he told us that the normal terra cotta extension above the roof had been removed, which meant the vent was sitting on the roof itself. He recommended that we have an extension installed for safety's sake, and quoted a price for that work, which we accepted. He didn't have the materials on hand, so he contacted the office to call us and schedule the second appointment. About half an hour later, someone called and set up a time later in the week to finish the job. John was very professional, and explained at every step what he was doing and what he had found, as well as giving us a price at each step so we could decide whether or not to continue with the job.

We've used them for years. They did work for us last fall. They do a good job as far as getting the chimney cleaned up. They are clean and they don't make a mess inside the house. They are friendly to work with. They are not a kind of company that I'm concerned about being in the office with them being in my house with my family. The job overall is great. They call me up a couple of times to check when I want it to be cleaned next.

Very good experience. The technician was friendly and described what he was looking for. He suggested optional/additional services but didn't pressure me to take advantage of them. Would definitely use this firm again.

Greg did a superb job... in 2008... but now it's time for our chimney to be REDONE, and I've called three times, but no one has called me back. I'm disappointed, b/c I thought we had "our chimney guy," too.

The owner, Greg, came by and checked our fireplace from the inside with his flashlight. Right away, he said we were good to go. He literally was there for less than a minute! It was reassuring that he was so confident in his assessment. He was right on time and also performed the same check for our neighbor while he was here...that was convenient! We've definitely found our chimney guy!!!

The service man was very polite, competent and efficient. He inspected the chimney, and gave us a detailed description of the work he was doing. He gave us suggestions on use and care of the fireplace. He spent quite a bit of time doing the work. He used drop cloths and left the area very clean. We appreciated his work and suggestions and would definitely use this company again.

CSA cleaned our chimney- they are very professional and did a great job. They are meticulous about cleaning up and not leaving a mess. We previously used them (about a year ago) for a chimney repair. That went well and they were prompt, professional and did what they said for the price quoted. We will definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

The price was significantly cheaper than other "A" rated chimney sweeps, and the service was punctual.

Initial contact was responsive and appointment could be scheduled for the same day. I liked that the person was also a trained fire fighter-gave me confidence in his ability to judge the safety of the installation. He inspected the chimney from the roof and the fire place from the front and back, took some measurements. The fire place, he told me, would confirm to the codes (if one detail was to be changed), but in his estimation, it was nevertheless not safe to use. He pointed out why, and it made sense to me. I asked for an estimate for removal, and he gave me one. He was very friendly, explained items as he went along, and was knowledgeable not just on codes, but on the overall safety of the chimney/fireplace. I will call him again when we've exchanged our fireplace.

Service techs arrived on time, were clean and cleaned up, and provide outstanding service. Would use them again.

It turned out fine. They came punctually at the time set. They diagnosed the status of my two chimneys. They came to the realization that one was not worth cleaning. He said it would be tough to clean and that the fireplace was not the safest fireplace to put a fire in. He gave me good ideas and he cleaned my active one and replaced some chimney caps on the top. He gave me a lot of overview on the condition of my chimney. The price listed is for the chimney sweep.

Dean and his sons have been cleaning my chimney, fireplace insert for the 17 years that I have owned the home. They came highly recommend by the original owners of the house. They are always punctual, and professional. In addition to cleaning the chimney and fireplace insert, they are looking for overall condition. When they saw the mortar around the chimney start to wear, they put a watch on it, checking it each year. This enabled me to determine when to have it repaired. They take great care while in my home, to leave everything clean and neat behind them.

Overall very good service. They were able to come out and clean my chimney within a day of my contacting them. Were very professional leaving my chimney spotless and the rest of the house just as clean as when they started. The inspection went well and they did a good job of showing and explaining to me the minor issues with the chimney and explaining to me how to fix it myself. The price was a bit high in my estimation given the job and the amount of time it took them, but other chimney sweeps I contacted gave the same estimate so perhaps I am just being cheap.

They cleaned it very well. They also informed me as why I was having smoke issues. They removed their shoes and they covered my furniture with blankets. They did a good job.

Our fireplace wouldn't draw well and we needed a vent placed for our clothes dryer. Mr. Guypens came out and assessed our job within two days of our call in the middle of a snowstorm. He returned within 4 days and completed the job on budget and in about half the time he had estimated. The fireplace has worked well and we have used it several times a week since the repair. The dryer is in an awkward place in the basement. He discussed all of the options for the vent with us before the work was done. The vent now exits the house unobtrusively behind a bush and we can use our dryer. We are delighted with the work and recommend his company to anyone looking for chimney repair or a dryer vent.

Work went very well. Everything was done as promised. The fireboxes and rooms were clean upon completion of the work.

The house is a two story Denver square and Dean needed to use two ladders, one to reach the roof, and another to reach the top of the chimney. The work was done very well.
