Great. Had a team of people here all day to complete a job that could have easily taken a full week to do. John is very good at what he does and he does not cut corners. This was a major upgrade for this house and it was well worth it!

Very pleasant to work with, good explanations, excellent work. We used them for bathroom updates previously.

We have had several things done by various types of companies on multiple. Basil Electric is in our top two companies that we have ever dealt with. Not only did they do what was in the estimate, but they checked the entire system fixing things where necessary to ensure that the house was safe. Safety was very important to us. The inspection was very timely and passed with flying colors.

He did an excellent job. His professionalism and efficiency are outstanding.

If you're looking for an electrician, Basil Electric is the one! This is the second time I've used John and I am using him currently on a bathroom remodel - my contractor (Capstone) liked his work so much that he is using him for the electrical work on the total remodel of our bathroom/walk-in closet. While some have said he is a little pricey, the neatness and quality of his work supersedes anyone else out there and he is worth every penny.

I asked Basil Electric to make me a quote for a very small project and a date & time was set where John Basil would come to my house to look at what needed to be done. On the day of the appointment his wife called and said that he was running late and would be at least an hour late. In the end nobody showed up and I was never given another call to explain what happened. I don't like to give an F, but I can't think of any other appropriate score for this experience.

The estimated cost was a bit higher than other estimates, but suggested scope of work was a bit broader as well. He suggested updating smoke detectors and installing hard-wired CO detectors, and we felt this was a good idea. Was one delay of start of work, but he called in advance to alert us to this.

The gentleman did an excellent job and did exactly what he said he'd do. We're planning on using this company in the future.

He is very knowledgeable, works very efficiently, and although his hourly fee may be higher than other bids received, he gets a lot more done in less time, and it's always great work. He's prompt, efficient and always does exactly what he told you he would do.

John was punctual for both the estimate and the two scheduled work days. He was a good listener as we described what we wanted done and gave us an estimate right there (rather than waiting for an e-mail). On the work days, the and his crew laid down tarps and cleaned up after their work. His crew member, Ryan was especially polite and helpful. I would definitely use Basil Electric again and recommend it to friends.

John and his men arrived on time at 8:30 am. They worked until 9:30 pm. Because the power to the house was off for several hours, they provided a power source, and in the afternoon one of them came in to plug in my refrigerator to the alternate source. At the end of the (long) job, they went through the house to label the circuit breakers. The work areas were cleaned up, the job looks great, and everything works.

John showed up for the estimate exactly on time. We walked through the job and he was able to answer all my questions. we scheduled the work about a week or so later. Again he showed up on time and did an excellent job.

Great experience. John returned my initial phone call within one day, came over to do an estimate on a Saturday morning and was able to start work within a couple of days. He had great suggestions and gave us several options to consider. His crew was prompt, courteous and did excellent work. He was even able to correct some screwy work left behind by the previous homeowner.

It turned out not to need much attention, and John was able to get it going quickly and easily. He was very helpful and supportive.

John Basil made an initial call to assess the job & disconnect an Intermatic device from my switch plate. On his second call, he installed the photocell. He was pleasant & worked neatly-left no mess behind. The lights now work as requested: on at dusk & off at dawn.

I thought they were excellent in terms of planning and execution. They were good about cleaning up. They were good about keeping within the time frame they set and their quality of work was excellent. They stayed on budget and they were on time. They had great communication and had good problem solving. I highly recommend them.

John and crew were excellent to work with. They were on time for every appointment. This was a fairly complex overall project, and they were great for working with the scheduling of the other trades and building inspectors. They worked very quickly and were in and out on the days they were scheduled to work. All inspections were passed on the first inspection with no issues.

Mr. Basil returned my voice mail request with a call within a day. He arranged a visit for an estimate the following evening and the actual work was done one day later. He explained his very reasonable rates clearly and once on the job worked extremely efficiently. Replacing the ceiling light with the fan/light unit required the installation of a fan box for stability. The failing receptacle in a different fan unit was unfortunately too damaged for repair and will require a new unit. Even though I was aware of his rates and the time involved for the work, I was still slightly stunned when presented with the bill. The relationship between the quality of the work and the price is unbeatable.

After I called to arrange for the work and told them that it was not an emergency, office called to say John Basil would be here Sunday morning. Came on time, assessed the situation and got right to work. He was careful to spread a drop cloth to catch insulation that fell out of ceiling. The job turned out to bigger than he expected, but he did it competently and in good time. Cleaned up work area when job was finished. Pleasant to work with.

John and crew were on time, polite, excellently priced and did a thorough job. They cleaned up behind themselves. This job required killing power to the house. The work they did in one day, I think, would have taken some others more than a day.

He did a good job. He got everything back in order.

Great! These guys wired our basement for finish. They are reasonably priced, friendly, professional and prompt. I am going to call them anytime I need electrical work.
