We were very pleased with the work. We like the way the lawn looks. It is $25/week, very reasonable.

He did great! He even offered to come every other week because the grass wasn't that high. He was very easy to talk to and was willing to work with me.

Overall he was on time and worked hard. He also did a good job of cleaning up after himself.

I purchased the 4 visits @$100 . He responded within a day and said he could service my yard. He performed the initial 2 visits, but at the 2nd visit, informed me that he and his crew were too busy with other work to finish the rest of the season, and could I please find someone else. So much for reliable service. Also, on the last visit the back lawn didn't get cut, so that job was not really completed.

I had 4 old junipers that were beginning to die and they needed to be replaced. I scheduled the work with the A1 Home Helper who was also maintaining the lawn. The work was done as scheduled and was completed professionally and as instructed. The removed the junipers and cleaned up nicely and they were finished with the job. The trees look great and really improved the appearance of the backyard. I would utilize this merchant again if I needed landscaping services again.

My wife and I were looking for someone to not only take care of an 'emergency' lawn situation, but also to retain on a regular basis for lawn care (we have a HUGE backyard) and to possibly to do some landscaping for us. My wife contacted them and they agreed to come out on Saturday the 18th. They gave no time window since the were "squeezing (us) in". At about 4:00 that day it began raining, so we called to see where they were. The owner said they were still on the way. We told them to forget about it for the day since it was raining. They said they would call us later in to reschedule. By the 21st, we still had not heard from them, so we called them. They said they could 'squeeze (us) in" again on the 22nd, but could only mow the front yard. They said they would be back on Friday - their normal 'Wheat Ridge Day" to get the back yard done. On the 22nd they called in the early afternoon to say they would be out at 4:00. They then called and said they would be out at 6:00. By 7:30 we had still not heard back from them when their truck pulled up. The man said he would mow and that "the boss" would be out soon for payment. He finished up, leaving grass clippings everywhere and clumps of mowed grass and dandelions. We never heard from them again that day, nor the next. Then, at 7:00PM on Friday the 24th, the owner showed up on our doorstep as we were leaving the house. We told him 'no thank you' and paid him. He asked in a sarcastic voice if we were going to have someone else out to mow. Stupid question. This was a really frustrating and time wasting experience. We would NEVER use this business, and we are frankly very surprised that they get positive reviews here, much less stay in business. UGH!

Dave was very professional and knowledgeable about lawn care. He did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely use Dave in the future.

Back the latter part of April 2013, we called Dave about getting some yard work done. At the time, he was really busy, so it took a bit to get scheduled. However, we had used him before on another of our rentals & we were not in a big rush to get the job done. Besides, we really didn't want to use anyone else. His crew showed up promptly. Dave showed up initially to get them started & went onto another job. They really did a wonderful job. They were courteous, professional & cleaned up & hauled away everthing. We will definitely use this company again. They even went over a little bit on time & he did not charge us for it.

I was in need of a weekly lawn service. I searched Angie's List and found Dave's A1 Home Helper. After talking to Dave and getting a quote, I decided to use him for the summer. Dave is very knowledgable about proper lawn care. He and his crew were on time, efficient, and professional. I plan on using him again next summer.

They were supposed to have gotten back to me within 24 hours and I have not heard from them 4 days later.

He was very nice & took care of the work promptly. He had to do a little extra cleaning in the gutters because they were pretty dirty.

It went perfectly. We had the rocks and mulch ready to go when they arrived, and they were on time. It was at least 98 degrees outside while they were working! They did an amazing and professional job, in addition to putting up with our a*e neighbor who doesn't know how to mind his own business. The whole job turned out great, and we are very happy with it. We will definitely use them again whenever we need work done!!!!!

Dave was punctual, professional and trustworthy. As a residential landlord, Dave has eliminated one of my main worries. With Dave, I know it will get done. He does a great job at a great price. I like it when guys like Dave do well; use him.

Having tried 3 previous lawn mowing services, I am finally HAPPY! Dave mows and trims my lawn with the same attention to detail that I would if I had the time! The way he mows is focused on how well the lawn looks when he's finished - not about how fast he can get in and out. He maybe costs a little more than other services but that's because he DOES more than the other services. I highly recommend this company. -Cheryl

I spent about $60 on that service. The guy Dave was who worked with me and he was very good, prompt and he actually cleaned the gutters while I wasn’t here and I did not have to be here. I just left a check and he did a very good job.

The fellows from A1 Home Helper came punctually and did a very thorough job of removing the clogged leaves in my extensive gutter system, which had not been completely removed by the last service I hired. I will call them again later this year when the leaves have all fallen. This is an excellent service.

He was super, super nice and he didn't have to do it. I couldn't hire him on a regular basis because it was too far for him. He was actually so nice that when he was leaving my neighborhood he saw a guy with a lawn service truck and he stopped and talked to him and had the guy come and talk to me. He drove back to my house and told me what he had done and that he had given my address to the guy. He went above and beyond. He was so nice and he walked me through how the sprinklers worked and why they made a noise. He was just awesome and he didn't treat me like an idiot. I would absolutely use him.

I came across Dave's company via Angie's List and from there went to his website. I called and left a message and Dave called back right away. We talked about what needed to be done and he was able to go to the house and look around while I was at work which was great. Eventually we met up at the house to finalize the job. Dave and his crew did some clean up work, removed an old chain link fence and installed a new cedar fence. The job went great. Dave is down to earth and will tell you exactly what to expect and his estimates are accurate. It was great to use A1 and I'd recommend them.

Dave was polite in setting up the appointment and prompt in arriving at the given time. His work was outstanding, and he treated my home as if it were his own. Dave took time to redo anything he did not think was up to standard. My gutters, which were overflowing, are cleaned out and my windows sparkle. I will useDave's service again in the future.

Overall great experience. Good website, prompt response, the only aerating person to answer his phone. I left five messages and other places and no one called me back. Was able to get out and aearate three houses within just a few days of my call, and at the times of day and in the order in which I requested. Very reasonable price and made payment arrangements easy; did the work with no problem and we paid afterwards (didn't have to meet at the property or anything). Quality of aerating was good; deep plugs, good advice about sufficient watering first, got all the way to all property lines (something we have had an issue with in the past with other companies). Would definitely recommend and definitely use again.

Dave and his helper showed up on time and were ready to get to work right away. It was a big job and took them about 4 hours. They did a great job and left the yard and trees looking great. I will probably ask him to do some design work for me later this spring.
