Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning

Too expensive - claimed a capacitor need replacing & then charged an arm and a leg for replacing it ( charged as if the cap. replacement was all they came for) after I had already paid for a routine maintenance service call.

They are very good. They originally installed our furnace and air conditioner. They tend to try and up-sell me on filters, but they didn't this time because I bought a bunch of filters from them last year.

Then they come to clean my furnace. They're okay on responsiveness. Their service is satisfactory. I've had different ones come and generally it's good quality.

I called another HVAC expert company that was highly recommended to get a second opinion. After 1.5 hour maintenance check and detailed review of all issues identified, it was determined that NONE of the issues that were identified were problems and no further replacement/fixing was necessary. The furnace and humidifier got a clean bill of health - makes me wonder what the heck the first technician was doing!!!! Seemed like it was more of a sales call.

I called Ryco for a second opinion and now have a working system for $170.00-I will never ever call Service Experts again

We were struggling with a very hot upstairs bedroom so decided to call someone to see if we could have equal cooling throughout our house. We called a couple of companies to come out and received multiple different answers to our problem.one company wanted to completely replace our entire system when we knew there is nothing wrong with it! Service experts came out and were definitely the most knowledgeable of all of the companies. They restructured our duct work and were very reasonably priced. We felt like we could really trust them and we are so happy we did! From the prompt service to the great install, everything went flawlessly. I would recommend them to anyone!

Service Experts were supposed to come and tune up our furnace as the last part of a service agreement. They called this morning to say they were short a technician and would have to push our service time to late this afternoon, or maybe Saturday. We rearranged our schedules to be here this entire morning and expect that quality service means honoring time commitments. This incident follows last fall's when this company tried to sell us a new furnace when we didn't need one. I called another person who came and inspected the furnace and said it was fine. He told me to install 2 carbon monoxide detectors to make myself feel confident that things were OK. I did. Not once has there been a single beep on those detectors. I am finished with Service Experts.

We received an estimate for a new furnace and A/C unit. The person whom come out to give me an estimate was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They were the highest price of the three companies that I contacted.They did however put in our furnace several years ago, before they changed names. There were some issues with that furnace. I thought the person that came out to give me an estimate could have been more prepared and had brochures and a proper form to list the particulars of the estimate.

We've worked with them a long long time. They became Service Masters or something like that. I was not happy with them this time, they lost the hometown touch or something. They pressed us to get a furnace right away and all we wanted was to get some information so I'm ambivalent about them. We did not use them. The price was very high.

He was very helpful and professional. I would recommend him to others.

Our furnace went out on the coldest night of the year. We called several companies, but no one was able to come to look at the problem. We were afraid we might have burst pipes, so we kept calling. When we reached Bartel's, they were very courteous, kind and sent out a technician that night. He said he didn't have the right part, but did a temporary fix that gave us heat. A few days later, a second technician came out to finish the job. But putting the "right" part in, didn't fix the problem. Turns out the part that was replaced didn't really need replacement. The problem was that someone had thrown an orange down our exhaust vent. My husband had suggested there might be a problem with the vent because he had done some research and the "error code" indicated this. Also, there were footprints in the snow leading up to the vent. So, it is a little irksome that it took these guys so long to figure out the problem, but then it was dark and cold and they did adjust the bill some to offset their mistake. The PVC pipe was put in crooked, but they came back and fixed that free of charge. All in all, I am happy. They seemed honest and professional, and most importantly, they came out when we needed help.

They were going to charge me $600. I declined, and went and purchased the fan and installed it myself for about $50.

When I first called to get an estimate from them. They answered the phone with a completely different business name. I was disappointed in their service because they promised to call me within 24 hours of coming out to get me my estimate. They didn't call me back and I didn't receive an estimate until 3 days after they had initially come out.

So far it seems to be doing well. This company has been around a long time and is reliable. We will continue to use them for future service and would also recommend them to others.

They are super duper guys. Their work is excellent. They are intelligent. When they are on the job, they don't mess around. They fix the problem immediately, and don't charge you for what you don't need.

I really like their responsiveness and their trustworthy. The only thing I did not like in the past was that we had to call to set up our annual maintenance checks rather than being prompted to.

The technicians (Mark and Brian) were clean courteous and proficient. They cleaned up after themselves completely. I may have paid a little more ($100), but feel I received a quality product and definitely quality installation .

On time, very courteous techs. Work was performed as needed. Cost included two precision tune-ups and inspections for the heating and/or air conditioning equipment during the following year.
