All Trades Mechanical

Had to work around the busy summer schedules and their work load...so a few starts and stops. First thing they did on a Friday was pull out all of the old unit and got enough of the new pieces in place to get my air conditioning going for the weekend. Again had a slight delay on Monday with a personal issue with one of the workers but came back out on Tuesday and completed the job. I was not around when they finished so I did my own walk around and found a couple of minor issues. I informed the owner, Marty, and he had them taken care of right away. New system has been up and running for two months now and it has delivered on all of the promises made during the original quote. I am very satisfied and would definitely use All Trades again.

Marty assured me that the $4000 whole house system he installed would cool my house great all summer. He disconnected the wiring for my old refrigerated unit. Now that its hot and humid, the new evaporative system is inadequate and the temp inside my house is over 75 degrees. He won't return my calls requesting to re-connect my old refrigerated unit as a back-up system on hot, humid days, as I requested initially, and I don't think the cooler he chose for my 1600 SF house is large enough, as it definitely doesn't hack it on hot humid days. Additionally, his crew left a hose connected to my outside faucet last winter, the pipe froze, and they did not repair it fully, and a ceiling fan light no longer works after his crew hooked up a thermostat for the evap cooler.

In May, 2011, i had several companies give me estimates to add air conditioning to my furnace. All companies told me that it was not possible and pointed out the problems. Marty however, thoroughly evaluated the possibilities and gave me options. Then I looked at other companies that would install an evaporative cooler on my roof. Marty's price was somewhat lower than others. In that lower price he also ran ductwork into the end rooms on the 2nd floor so that air was directed to those rooms and would not just rush down the stairway, not at my request but as part of his estimate. And, he was the only contractor that, up front, said he that what he would install would be high efficiency equipment that would qualify for a Public Service rebate and that he would supply the signed paperwork to submit when the job was complete. Other companies just said yes they could install the cooler, gave me a higher price and told me that to install a cooler that would qualify for a rebate was not worth the extra cost. In July, 2011, I had a new roof installed at the same time as I had All Trades install the cooler. Marty made all the arrangements with the roofer and worked closely with them to get the installation done as a coordinated effort. He came personally but brought two installers to do the work. We had some questions about how and the thermostat would be installed. I am picky. The young men worked with me until they were able to do what I wanted and in a most helpful, cooperative and professional way. The installation appears to be very good. (I have not gotten on the roof) but it has been inspected and All Trade received compliments from the roofer. The cooling works wonderfully. I got the rebate. And I plan to have All Trades service my equipment and my furnace in the future.
