1st Choice Home Inspections

I was a first time homebuyer and I should I have been better educated so its my fault. But I feel like Jim wasn't on my side. He was interested in helping the sale of the house so he refused to give me the knowledge that I needed to make a smart decision. My first lesson: NEVER use the inspector your agent recommends. Jim did not refund my inspection fee when I complained. Please save yourself problems, and use someone else.

I was a few minutes late getting to the property. Our appointment was at 3pm. The seller of the property was already there and Mr. Jim Michael, representative for 1st Choice, was on the roof inspecting when I pulled up to the property. He spent at least three hours inspecting the property. Mr. Michael was very knowledgeable and thorough. In fact, having had building inspections performed in the past I can absolutely state that he performed the most thorough home inspection that I have ever received on any property I've purchased in the past. I was provided with a binder and instructions on where to get the inspection report at the time of the inspection and THAT NIGHT I was sent the PDF file with a 44 page report on ALL ASPECTS of the inspection including color photographs of all areas with all problems noted that needed either immediate or future attention. This file was also emailed to my Buyer's Agent. The value of this report FAR EXCEEDED my expectation. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Company to all Angie's List members without reservation. For the Home Buyer: The inspection report covers any possible flaws for future sales negotiation. For the Home Seller: The inspection report covers any possible flaws that would need immediate consideration prior to placing the property for sale at the best possible listing price.
