, Delta County, CO has no building codes and no license is required to be a Contractor/Builder. This makes it very difficult to find a Builder who is knowledgeable and trustworthy. Literally, anyone who has a truck, ladder and hammer can call themselves a "Contractor". Matt Furubotten of Casa Bella Homes is the most experienced builder I could find in our area. He built homes in California for over 20 years where codes are very restrictive/intense and adhere to the National/Uniform Building Codes. I had the opportunity to watch every phase of the construction and was thoroughly pleased with his work. I'm not the average homeowner who knows little of building methods and materials. Having attended a building/construction school and completed small projects over the years I consider myself a very discriminating and picky homeowner. I'm also very adept at researching construction techniques/materials. As a past Realtor in Delta County, I seen the end products of many so called home builders and learned that in our area homeowners have to be super careful and require a performance contract. I wholeheartedly and highly recommend Casa Bella Homes for any new construction project and, most importantly, where your investment can be trusted to a quality builder.
