WASTE MANAGEMENT

1 star is too high for the manner this business treats customers and conducts business. Waste Managements stated fee is comparable to other company, but hidden extra fees double their monthly charge. Plus they only pick up recycles every 2 weeks compared to weekly service for other company. To save money and receive weekly recycling, I Decided to change services and called to terminate waste management. Took 3 calls and 2 weeks to get their cans picked up - and since they would not say when cans would be removed .. they had to sit in front of my home on street for entire time. In addition, they told me twice I would get refund for extra month prepaid services -- and then they changed stated policy and said no refunds given. When called, you get automated system with multiple choices before finally getting person. I spoke with multiple employees and was provided different information each time. Because of waste managements refusal to provide promised refund and their refusal to call me as promised twice, I have filed complaint with better business bureau. Below is a portion of Waste Management's response when requested to provide a signed contract and to provide copy of tape recordings from my phone calls to their agents wherein they said I would be provided a refund after statement balance to me. "In order for us to release our records we would need a subpoena." I find it puzzling that this business would require a subpoena to give me a copy of my signed contract and a copy of their taped recording of my phone conversations with their agents.
