GREER'S APPLIANCE CENTER

Description of Work: I called Greer's and spoke to Eric to schedule a service call for my mother's washer. I had not yet used Greer's but I knew of their owners through my own business. I found Eric responsive and professional. We schedule the service call for Wednesday at 9:30am. I admit as someone also in the customer service industry I hate the 'blocked time' instead of an exact time. I understand why in a service industry it can be difficult to give an exact time but because of my mom's work schedule, having a very close exact time is important. Anyways, the service call went well. However, I need to get a new pump (replace as we just bought one 11/2014). Where Greer's has been responsive and returning calls, other businesses in their same industry have not. I am EXTREMELY displeased with BrandSource and will be giving a less than acceptable review shortly. Thank you to Eric for handling the scheduling well, thank you to Kim for handling the call and showing up when they had scheduled and a BIG thank you to Sarah (owner at Greer's) for help with paperwork, great conversation and professionalism.

Description of Work: We have used Greers for several separate jobs over the years. We have purchased appliances from them and had appliances serviced. I would really, really like to recommend them as I am a strong believer in using local merchants but every single job with them has had a problem. Both times we bought appliances they had to go back because they either did not fit properly (nobody came to measure) or they were electric powered instead of gas. We have had them back to repair appliances, most recently when our dishwasher broke due (I think) to an installation problem that we had tried to have fixed once before. The one really good thing I can say about them is that they did not charge us for this last service call which boosted their score on professionalism. They do work hard to be competitive in this market and if other people begin to report good experiences with them I would try them again. But until then, I'm afraid I'll have to go to the chains.
