Mike's Plumbing and Heating

Everything was going fine until his lead left in the middle of the job. Now that the job is completed and money paid he is totally unresponsive. We have a cottage that is off of the boiler system that has been without heat for over a month. He has never left us keys to turn off the gas to the gas fireplaces and now we have a bedroom off the boiler system that is hot and the thermostat is turned all the way down. This job was only completed a few months ago and while we have left numerous messages for him he has not returned any of our calls over the past three weeks. I would think twice before using a contractor that apparently will not stand behind his work, will leave you without heat as you enter winter and doesn't even have the courtesy to return phone calls.

I have a lodging property where broken heating/cooling systems cost us in lost revenue. We have three B&B buildings, and when one boiler is down, we could lose revenue from four lodging rooms that can't be used. Mike came on a Friday afternoon once with little notice when we needed our system working by the time guests checked in for the night. We have called Mike a couple of times in the last few months, having recently discovered him through a large heating/cooling supply house. We have had three other heating/cooling service providers who tried to fix our systems without success, using costly parts that didn't solve the problem. Mike ananlyzed our system by tracing every water line, examined the boiler, the ductwork and the controls. He found the problem that had been missed by other service providers for *three* years. We thought the entire system in one building would have to be rebuilt, but Mike isolated the problem and fixed it logically, one detail at a time. He took time to answer every question that we asked, explaining the systems' construction and the function of each part. Now he is fixing little problems on our other two lodging buildings. Would I recommend Mike to others? Boy howdy, yes!!! He responds to calls quickly and arrives when promised. I don't know how we managed without him. We are a little sad about money we spent on expensive parts when other people did work here that failed, but we are SO HAPPY to have Mike to call now. He's brilliant! Woo-hoo, Mike totally rules!!! (By the way, Mike's company does work in both Colorado Springs and Pueblo.)
