Workers showed twenty minutes late on day one only to discover the local power company was not going to be able to shut off the power to my home so they could do the work required. The two workers assembled parts and pieces in my back yard preparing for the power company to do their part. I called and spoke to the Supervisor, Doyle, who decided it necessary to use profanity with me on the phone attempting to explain how busy he is and how little control he has over the power company. The workers left with only some smoke detectors installed and ground rods started. The next day the power company showed and the workers could complete the mast and new utility box. A few days later the city inspector came only to find corrections needing to be done. On day four, while attempting to correct the deficiencies noted by the inspector it was discovered that a job Main Electric was hired to do three years earlier for my wife at this same residence installing a new breaker box was never permitted or cleared by an inspector. So, to correct deficiencies of the mast job it was going to involve cutting two new holes in my walls and installing new equipment. This was all done on day five of the projected two-day project. On day six I had the VP of the company Mike, following me to my house to inspect the work his crew had done and begin to tell me how I was just trying to get him in trouble by bringing to light the lack of permits and inspection for the job completed three years ago. Then, on day seven I was home for the inspector to come and pass the job, which he finally did. My families’ choice to use Main Electric was based solely on the assumption of the quality work they had done on the house in the past. Because of their lack of personal ownership for their mistakes, lack of candor, and unprofessional attitude I would highly recommend looking past this company as a choice for any job in your home big or small.
