They never finished the job. The work they did was unacceptable. For example, the lighting in some rooms would never have worked. In all, there were some two dozen defects that were errors, bad practice, did not meet specifications, or were code violations. They increased the bill by 77% for "extras," when in fact their work fell far short of required specifications. They refused to itemize the "extras" or work out the dispute, and were abusive. As enabled by Colorado law, they liened our property for over $15,000, even though we did not hire them (the general contractor did), the "extras" bill was unjustified, and their work was disgraceful. We paid the general contractor, but the electrical contractor claims they did not receive any money from the genral contractor. We fixed all the problems at our own expense.
