Stopped by Complete's shop and explained my needs to the owner, who was actively engaged with another customer's vehicle. Owner expressed interest in performing the work. We discussed pros and cons of using leather (expensive) vs. leather (inexpensive). Owner recommended vinyl based on cost, durability and excellent color matching to my remaining (not to be reupholstered) passenger's seat. Owner explained that he used thicker padding than OEM and also would use stitching instead of piping around the seat perimeter for additional durability. We agreed on these details and set-up an appointment to perform the work. Finished product was a perfect match to the remaining original upholstery. All aspects of the reupholstery work was professionally done and looked great. Owner explained the differences between his work and the OEM product in layman's language. Owner indicated that any problems found after the vehicle pick-up would be addressed promptly. A co-worker who knew that the work was being performed on the Maxima asked for my opinion afterwards, as he had previously gotten estimated for reupholstering his truck interior and thought the estimates to be high. I expressed my satisfaction with the work and the entire experience, and suggested that he stop by and get an estimate. He did, and was surprised that the estimate was substantially lower than any he had previously gotten. He had the work performed by Complete, and was extremely happy with it. My co-worker later recommended Complete to a friend. 81008
Description of Work: Complete reupholstered the following in my 1995 Nissan Maxima: Driver's side seat; Rear seat, both the bench and the seat back. Quality of the work was excellent. Went with Complete's recommended vinyl instead of leather, due to the higher cost of leather, the improved wear characteristics of modern vinyl, the perfect color match with the passenger's seat, and the age/remaining life of the Maxima. (It was at 188,000 miles at the time the work was completed.) I subsequently relayed my positive experience to a co-worker, who took his truck to Complete and had a similar, positive, experience. The co-worker, in turn, recommended Complete to a friend of his.
