It was excellent, he was on time, on appointment and the price was reasonable.

Shane came out a quickly as he could and easily determined that we had some debris in the filtering system restricting water flow to the upper tray. The filter was difficult to reach, and multiple sections had to be removed to get to it. He cleaned it thoroughly and tested the system after. All worked great! Shane is extremely prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and fair in his pricing, utilizing a flat charge for the labor and diagnostic fees to fix one appliance.

The heating element on our 4-year-old dryer died, and we had a few quotes around $300 to replace it. Shane's wife returned my call the same day, and we scheduled for that week because of their awesome estimate. The total cost was $150. We also needed a dishwasher part replaced, and we were charged a reduced trip-fee, which we appreciated so much. We were given a window-of-time for the repair on our scheduled day, and they called when they were on their way. My understanding is that this business is operated out-of-the-home, which keeps costs down. We couldn't be more pleased, and we've recommended Shane to all our friends. Shane's Appliance Repair is professional, responsive, knowledgable, and their prices can't be beat.

The price for this repair was significantly less than other quotes we received. He keeps prices down partly by working out of his home. We would definitely hire again.

he said that the dishwasher would continue to clean poorly because water wasnt hot enough and suggested a refurbished replacement one with a metal tub. we purchased it. after discovering the latch wouldnt work, he was called back and attempted repair, but it still didnt work. he said he would fix it, but i have been calling off and on since december and have had not return call. I have to prop the dishwasher closed with a chair. the first calls to him were very nice and said that if there are personal reasons he cant call to just let me know but nothing. my last call was to inform him that i was going to submit negative reviews and still no response. very unprofessional.

Shane arrived in the evening, which was great because I didn't have to take time off of work. He called about 30 minutes before he arrived. He figured out the problem in about 10 minutes, after removing my oven from the cabinets. He actually had the part in his truck, which was a pleasant surprise, and had it fixed and working in no time. Not only did he fix my oven, but also fixed the broiler which hasn't worked in years, and oiled the noisy fan. All for such a great price. Also a very friendly person, and he will be my new appliance repair guy from now on!

I'd used Shane previously and been extremely happy with the service received. This time, I called Shane because of a leak in the washing machine. He quickly identified the cause of the leak and repaired it, along with two other issues. When I mentioned that the dryer was not drying effectively, he checked it and found that the venting was so clogged that no air was getting through - a fire hazard. He fixed that as well. Shane is excellent at repairs, honest, friendly, and economical without skimping on quality. I already recommend him to everyone I know and will continue to do so.

This is the second time we've used Shane's Appliance Repair and will continue to use them as long as we're in this area. Because they have hours that accommodate working families, it's always been easy to schedule appointments in a reasonable amount of time and at a time of day that works for us. Shane came out one evening because our dryer had stopped working (producing air flow). He diagnosed it and gave it a temporary fix but was appreciatively honest in telling us that the motor would need to be completely replaced. He only charged us for the service call and scheduled to come back a couple days later with a refurbished motor. Thankfully that appointment was made because the temporary fix didn't last as long as we'd all hoped. When he came out to put in the replacement refurbished motor it took no time at all to install it and we were not charged a separate visit for this; it was looked at as an extension of the initial visit because had he had a refurbished motor the first night he came by, it would've been done then. Shane and his wife show exceptional professionalism and customer service with their family-owned business. As a military family, we are especially appreciative to have found such great people to do business with.

I called Shane's on a Monday to set up an appointment for a service call and spoke to his wife, who does most of the scheduling. Unfortunately he did not have an appointment until late Thursday, but I went ahead and set up the appointment. As promised, Shane called when he was on his way, and he proved to be well worth the wait He quickly confirmed our suspicion that the heating coil in the dryer needed to be replaced. Based off other reviews of the same issue (under companies' reviews) I was expecting a part to have to be ordered, but was delighted when he said he had the part in his truck and would get it fixed right away. He was efficient and the work was completed quickly. He said that is an advantage of Frigidaire is that their parts are more universal and he's able to keep them more easily in stock. The work was completed quickly and I was thrilled when the cost was only about $170.00. Again, other reviews I'd read from other companies for the same problem appeared to be much more costly. Shane did tell us that Frigidaire stocks two different parts and for this one he puts the new coil in the existing part himself, which is much less expensive. I certainly appreciate that he tries to save his customers money by taking care of it himself, rather than buying the much more costly, but slightly easier to use, part. We have Shane's Appliance Repair on our bulletin board and will definitely call him again if we have future appliance repair needs, and we would definitely recommend his services.

Shane installed a new refrigerator for me, and I was so impressed by him and his work that, with no contact since, I still remember him well, and would not hesitate to call him or recommend him for future work.

The service performed by Shane is always fair and honest so I called him to repair a leaky dishwasher. Shane arrived promptly and had the leak fixed in about a half hour. Shane had the parts needed for the repair, as a result I was taken care of in a timely matter. I will be calling Shanes again for all of my appliance repair needs. Keep up the good work !!

Morning of Oct 17th, Mr Moore stated that he was at a Doctors appt and would come by later that afternoon to repair and if he couldn't repair that he would give me a refund. He never showed, and my Maintenance Man called and he accused Don of putting in the dishwasher wrong? He still never came by to pick it up, make right, or refund. Running my own Property Management Company I've found that word of mouth is best and that if you do people wrong, unprofessional, or dishonest you should be held accountable. Mr Moore has not made right and his word is not honorable

Shane was on time. He was friendly, but worked diligently. Labor very fairly priced - but circuit board expensive. Also, he repaired our freezer door, had never shut well.

I was a little bummed that it took a while to get an opening for the repair, mostly because our schedules didn't line up, but let me tell you, it was worth it. Shane was on time, and had the problem diagnosed in a matter of minutes. He fixed the problem promptly and cleaned up. He also gave me some advice on some other potential appliance repairs. It is very evident that Shane is knowledgeable and cares about his clients spending their money wisely. I have a dryer that will soon need a new element and I will not hesitate to call Shane when I have the money to do the repair. Or any repair on any appliance I have for that matter! Once Shane arrived, he immediately took the ice dispenser off of the refrigerator. He knew exactly which part needed replacement. He showed me the broken part, explained what was wrong with it, and told me how much the new part would cost before he repaired the problem. He installed the new part and reinforced another part which tends to cause problems. After he put the dispenser back together, he showed me that everything was working smoothly and he cleaned any mess he had made, packed up everything and left.

Great experience. Good work. Professional and responsive.

Called and got what may have been family member who set time. Left work to wait for appointment. Time window came then went without him showing or calling. I called and ended up leaving a message, wondering if there was a problem, if the appointment was still on, etc. No return call. Called again, specifically left three different phone numbers for call back. Never received a call back. I can certainly understand running late or getting lost or heaven forbid they didn't get the appointment on the main schedule. Can't understand not returning calls and just ignoring the situation. UPDATE ON 11/4/11: Shane's was dismayed at the bad review I left and contacted me. I must admit at beginning of the call I was not pleasant and would probably place myself in the category of rude (two furnaces out during a cold snap, one broken lease, 7 kids in the car pool, one of those days where multitasking was reaching a peak for me). After apologizing for my abrupt tone we discussed what could have happened concerning the service call. I was not asked to adjust my rating. She just made it very clear that she didn't understand how this could have happened and asked for my business in the future. I must say that I appreciated the professionalism during the call, especially since I had not extended the same courtesy at the beginning. We went over their side/my side and could not come up with why this had happened. Based on the attitude that they really didn't want to have a bad review and the concern for bad customer service I would call them again if the need arose. Everyone makes mistakes but it is what you do after you make them that defines you.

He came out here about six months ago, and we just used him at the office. We have apartments in our building, so they did repairs for the tenants. One time, he found out that the problem was electrical, rather than what he could fix. He didn't charge us anything, even though he had come out to look at it. He is really awesome.

Shane was the best repair person I have ever encountered. He was professional and provided outstanding services! He was able to diagnose the dishwasher's problem by listening to it. He's fees are very reasonable too. Can't be happier with services received from him. Will use him for all of my future repair work as long as he is in the area.

I spent about $80. They were excellent. This was a very unusual issue and the guy who came out had to do a really big problem solving on how to get it worked. He was very professional. We knew him and we also found him on a list that has a whole list of local companies. He came right away, but we had to reschedule because there was a big snowstorm. The quality of his work was excellent. I would definitely use his services in the future too.

Shane explained what the fan did and why it caused the problems it did. He gave his experiences with various brands of refrigerators, what's the best, etc. and options I have in the future if I have any more problems. He thoroughly went through the refrigerator and also found a clogged drain line so repaired that too. Completed general cleaning of the coils, etc. Gave me ideas and tips on how to do it myself. Told me to call with any issues, and there have been none. Refrigerator has worked perfectly since. Great service, and a very nice person.

I called early in the week and requested either a Wed or Fri appointment. Shane was already booked for Wed so I was alloted a 2-hour window on Friday afternoon. I was a bit concerned that I didn't receive a confirmation call the night before, so I checked Friday morning and was assured I had an appointment. Later Shane called to tell me he was on the way. He disassembled the drum of the front-load washer, took the propellers out, rinsed shards of glass from the hoses -- overall, he was very careful to get out all of the glass. He brought his own pan and bowl to catch water and the glass pieces. He alerted me that there might be slivers of glass in the sink into which he poured the water. He was very thorough and very professional. If I have a need, I will absolutely use him again. Plus the price couldn't be beat.

I checked Angie's List for a dishwasher repair person. Shane's Applicance Repair had an A rating and was said to be affordable. On Oct. 18, I checked the website, found the repair prices, and sent Shane a message that our dishwasher needed repair. The next day, Shane's wife called to schedule an appointment for the 21st between 2-4pm. Shane called about 3:50pm on the 21st to say he was within 10 minutes of our house. He arrived with a minute to spare. Within a few seconds of removing the panel from the dishwasher door, Shane thought he had found the problem why our dishwasher was stopping mid-cycle: an electrical contact that had popped out of its brackets--but he check all electrical components that were possible to check without tearing apart the motor, just to make sure something else wasn't wrong. Also, when Shane removed the inside panel of the door, there was dishwasher soap caked all over the door--which Shane said could have shorted out wires. I washed off the door panel in my shower and Shane applied some special sealant around the soap box--which evidently had a missing gasket. While he was working on the dishwasher, I remembered that I had been having trouble with the fridge (freezing vegetables and then getting too warm). I asked Shane why a fridge would do that, and he said he would check the frost pattern in the freezer and asked if I had vacuumed the coils lately. I hadn't--and the coils were very dirty! Shane explained the importance of vacuuming the coils annually, so that the fridge ran efficiently and to lengthen the life of the fridge. While the dishwasher was running, Shane vacuumed the fridge coils and checked the frost pattern--for no extra charge. The frost pattern was "perfect"--and the fridge has been working perfectly since being vacuumed. So for just the cost of the service call ($65), Shane got my dishwasher running again, and prevented possibly worse problems in both my dishwasher and fridge! Shane was very knowledgeable, efficient, thorough, and pleasant to have in our home. We will definitely call him if we ever have any more appliance problems!!!
