Kellar referred me to a very competent and prompt subcontractor who performed the work.

He was responsive with initial email and returning my call, and said he'd let me know about the schedule within a couple of days. He explained that he didn't make much on these services so wanted to schedule with others in our area. After two weeks of no contact I emailed him again. His email said he wouldn't do the job since we really needed roof repair and he asked me to contact Angie's List for a refund. I replied to explain we were seeking maintenance and inspection. His reply said walking on it might break the tile on the roof and he only did asphalt roofs. I replied to say we had an asphalt roof and said it appeared he either did not want our business or was confused. By that time I realized that even if he did the service it may be hard to trust the results of the inspection. After these emails he replied to acknowledge he had us confused with someone else and got us scheduled within the next 3 or 4 days. He arrived on time and my husband said he spent about an hour on the roof and was professional.

Kellar & Associates LLC will also check for interior leaks that may not be noticeable from the exterior of your home. Our roofing specialist will provide photos of other areas in need of repair. Any issues found will be brought to the home owners attention and a summary report will be provided to the homeowner as well as a professional plan of action. Most of what is talked to in the ad was not accomplished by the contractor.

This went very well. Very professional, informative and helpful.

My husband asked them if they would come back and repair the chimney stacks as the rubber needed replaced. They said they would and they never have came back to do the work as we have had trouble getting in touch with them. We ended up calling someone else for the repair. My husband was satisfied with the coupon and the service provided but after the service for the coupon this company dropped the ball.

It went very well. They are capable of doing a lot more than just a roof inspection. They gave a lot of helpful information.

The guy was very nice when he came out. I think he was going to send a roofing contractor out but he never did send someone out. I would use them again but I am curious on why they did not follow through with the coupon.

It turned out really good. He is very knowledgeable and he seems to be honest as well. He was also very prompt and on time.

The inspection went flawlessly and he was on time.

Our house was hit hard by hail but the damage seemed minimal. Mr. Keller came out and looked around our property, convincing me that a call to my insurance company would be worth it. He was right! No pressure to go through him for any work, just an honest estimate of damage.

What I got in effect was paying $69 for a roofing estimate that is normally free from most companies - and free estimate service was also stated on this company's business card. I did not get any resurfacing done because I was told it was not needed. I would have preferred resurfacing whether they thought it was needed or not for peace of mind and also so that I would feel I got something for my money. In hindsight I should have voiced my displeasure but I was in a state of disbelief that the guy was leaving after a 10 minute walk-around on my roof that resulted in a thumbs-up for the rood condition and a recommendation to get my gutters fixed. I am not sure if the individual would have performed the resurfacing if I had pressed the point but overall I don't feel this deal is worth the money spent and that I should have thought a little longer before purchasing it.

On the first visit he did not take photos of all the items that I wanted (skylights, fan covers.) But he came back out the next week and did that.

I had a complete roof inspection performed by Kellar and Associates a few weeks ago. Both representatives of the company were very professional, knowledgable, and pleasant. They were on time and their report thorough. My roof was in great condition at that time but now needs replacing due to the hail storm that we had a couple of evenings ago. I contacted Keller immediately following the storm and will be using them for the roof replacement. They will work directly with my insurance company and I have no doubt that their work will be exceptional. Everything that I have seen so far in working with Kris and his assiciates is very impressive. It is obvious that their goal is to provide their customers with professional work at a fair cost. I am so thankful to have found this company prior to the storm so that I don't have to choose a roofer without prior experience in working with them. And, thankfully, I don't have to weed through the many roofers who are cruising our neighborhood, two of which have been to my door in hopes of getting my business. It is a good feeling to have a company lined up who I am not only familiar with but completely comfortable with. I have no doubt that Kellar and Associates will do a very professional job in replacing my roof. I would highly recommend them.

I chose Kellar roofing due to the coupon he offered for the roof inspection. I had shingles that had come off from the hurrincane gale force winds that we had in Feb. My homeowner's (ho) insurance assessor came out and sent me a check for the roof. Upon Kellas's first visit, he was punctual, polite and efficient. He offered me $500 off my $1000 homeowner's deductibe. He asked for a copies of the paperwork from my ho insurance company along with a copy of the check that they had reimbursed me. He said that he would contact my ho company and get it all taken care of, basically giving me the impression that my total cost would be $500. He continued to update me on the progress via e-mails and it all seemed very efficient. However, Monday monring came and someone was there at 7:30 telling me that they were there to put on the new roof. We were surprised since Kellar had not informed me of this date. I called and he apologized saying that the materials came in earlier than he had thought. I also asked him to have his crew turn down the load mariachi music. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood and was sure they didn't apprciate that. Long story short, they created a situation where I cut my arm and required 8 stitches and had to go to the ER. Yes, there are 2 sides to every story and Kellar claimed that I was in the area when i wasn't supposed to be. It was his crew manager that motioned for me to show him what plants were being trashed. Kellar was not on site. There is no way for him to know or validate what happened. He offered to pay double my medical expenses if I changed my rating on Angie's list to an A, (initially $115.) But he would not give me the $500 discount since he claimed as of 6/1/12 it became against the law. When I called DORA (department of regulatory association), they told me that it has never been okay for roofing contractors to offer this discount and to stay away from anyone that did. Needless to say, the roof cost much more than $500. He emailed me an invoice dated 6/18/12 and demanded payment before then and threatened to put a mechanic's lien on my house (I was in Mexico). the whole point of Angie's list is that the consumer has a voice and mine couldn't be bought for $230.

He was very pleasant. He was punctual and did a very good job. I have no problems with the service. I would not hesitate to use them in the future for the same project.

Kris Kellar came out to examine my roof. He confirmed that I had damage, though there also was normal wear. He noted that repair is needed, though not urgent. I could wait, if I wanted to. He suggested that the damage should be covered under my home owner's policy and said he would work with the adjuster to make sure everything would be covered in the roofing repairs. Kris met with the adjuster the day he came to my residence. Kris agreed to replace my roof for the adjustor's amount. I had had my house inspected by a home inspector before all this and the inspector told me that the roof had damage, needed replacement, and that the work could wait if necessary. Kris Kellar said the same thing. In particular, he did not oversell what I needed. He completed his inspection as an inspection. He was prompt in doing his inspection and in meeting with the insurance adjuster on another day. Kris Kellar explained to me everything that the roof needed.

It went very well. Kris was very prompt and responsive and came right out to do the job.

I have two home and only needed on inspection, but he inspected both for me at no additional cost. He handled the miscommunication well and did a good job as far as I know. He seems very professional. He took a picture of the shingles, which is helpful I'm sure.

The guy was very prompt and responded right away after I purchased the Big Deal from Angie's List. He also showed up when he said he would.

Kris came out to my house with his special ladder and assessed my roof issues quickly. He asked for the information that my insurance adjuster had reached.

They were incredibly responsive and Mr. Keller showed up himself. I showed him what my issue was, and because the job was so small, he gave me other contractors that he works with so could I contact them myself.

Overall, the experience was very good! They had positive ratings on Angie’s List, which is how I found them. I received two estimates and only followed through on one. They showed up on time and no completed the job with no problems.

We had a terrible experience and miscommunication. He had blamed us even though the miscommunication was honest and he had made us responsible for it. We would not want to recommend him to anyone and his service was covered under insurance so we were not charged. There was a collection of things that we were allowed to do on our house since it was hail damage. But in order to make it not look really ugly after he had done the mistake we had to fore go everything else that was going to be repaired on our house in order to settle with him and it was probably a $25000 job. The overall experience was the worst and he was not professional. He had a contractor and he only ended up coming twice to our place. We would not use him again in the future.

Kris Kellar, who owns the company, came out and was the only contractor to actually identify where our water problem originated. He also identified the damage on the porch supports which none of the other contractors whom we solicited bids from had identified. After inspecting the damage, he quoted us a price which included replacing the front porch supports and painting the front of the house which was competitive with estimates for just the roof repair. Work was initiated within a week of the contract being signed. When the carpenters came to replace the old soffits and repair the end cap on the porch roof, they discovered that guttering which was installed during our ownership was installed incorrectly and was contributing to the water problem. Without a confirmation from us, or additional cost, they went and purchased new flashing and reinstalled the gutters correctly. The roofers came two days later and quickly replaced the shingles in the area where damage was incurred. The next business day, the painter arrived, sealed all open joints on all aspects of the front of the house (not just the new soffits) and within two business days the job was complete. The work was prompt, the workers professional and interactive, and the job was done beautifully. Kris was consistently in contact with us, always available to answer questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone (and have to neighbors who have commented on the work). Friendly, professional, and personable!!
