Overall it was good. There were some delays that caused me some concern and an issue with the concrete finish, but in the end everything was taken care of and I am totally satisfied with the finished product. Geraldo and his partner that did the actual construction were outstanding.
Description of Work: An Alumawood pergola was constructed over existing patio.

Description of Work: I wanted to contract for the building of the sub-structure for my deck,(footers, posts, beams, ledger on house and floor joists). This contractor agreed to perfom the work. I asked them what the work procedure was and was told that the salesman would have to visit and sign a contract and remit a deposit for the work. I talked to the sales person on Monday, July 2, 2012 and he said he'd call on Tuesday, to advise what time he'd visit on Thursday, July 5th. He never called. On Monday July 9th I called and told the receptionist that I needed to find out what was going on and she said she'd call the sales person and have him call me. I've never received any phone calls so I contracted with another provider. This company should not be in business. What I'm totally surprised about is this company has an A+ rating from the Dever Better Business Bureau.

I the busiest time of the year, this prospective customer was looking to have Carefree perform work for approximately $770.00 to set a couple of posts, a carrying beam and the ledger on the home. Several changes were made from the time of the first consultation between the sales rep and homeowner. Unfortunately, the sales representative dropped the ball and was not as good about the follow up due to the fact that we are extremely busy during the summer months. Carefree has a A+ rating with the BBB because while we are not perfect and from time to time do not follow up as promptly as we should during the busy months, we are better than average when it comes to the quality of work and when we sign a contract, we do what we say and our customers are typically very pleased with the quality of work. We build over 300 projects in any given year and to be able to count on one hand the number of complaints is FAR above industry standard. This is because we are a family-owned business and make any issues right by face-to face visits to the job sites with the homeowner.

I want a shade structure for my deck. I called and e-mailed them many times. I responded twice to there web site, still no return calls. Hard to use someone that you can't even get to return your calls

We are guilty. Unfortunately, this is the time of year where we wish we had 10 sales people to field the calls that come in. Currently, we have 2 sales people and try our best to get back to everyone who calls requesting a quote in a timely manner. We are guilty of not following up with some of the internet requests, however it is VERY rare that a phone call is not returned. We are constantly working to improve on this.
