This company used to take care of all our HVAC/boiler needs in Pagosa Springs for 15 years (under the original owner), it changed hands sometime (after 2021). The new technicians then installed two new mini split units 3 years ago and we have had continuous yearly service calls (overtorking the connections when the new mini splits were first installed caused failure in one unit a day after installation & we've had on average one service call/year between our two Friedrich units). I will never use Friedrich mini split systems again (we have three other Mitsubishi mini splits and they have proven more reliable).

This is a followup and update to the review I posted last year. A-! installed a Fujitsu minisplit heat pump in our home last Fall. After installation (and payment!), the owner, Jesse Elledge, started lying to us about the capabilities of our unit. He finally stopped answering our calls. At first, the unit seemed to be working OK. However, we just tried to turn it back on for the Fall and it is dead. We had a technician from another Fujitsu service provider come out. He found that A-1 did not seal the hole in our outside wall where the tubes and wires enter the house. So, a rat or mouse got into the back of the wall mounted unit inside the house and chewed up some wiring. He also noted that one of the outside tubes that should have been outside was not insulated, which would reduce the effectiveness of the system. So, not only is their customer service non-existent, their installation was faulty.A-! will be hearing from my attorney!

Skip A-1 if you want service after the sale. They had good ratings based on a previous owner. However, the new owner has no sense of customer service. They installed a minisplit heat pump for us at a good price. The installation seemed to go well and his installation crew seemed competent and courteous. However, once they completed the installation (and the job was paid for), things turned sour. We did not originally have heat. When I called the owner he told us that heat pumps don't work below 40 degrees outside temperature and that he told us this at the start of the project. Two incorrect things - one, he never told us this (and if he had, we wouldn't have moved forward with the project) and two, this is not true. Our unit is rated to heat down to minus 15, as confirmed by the manufacturer. Then, I asked the owner for the serial numbers of the units to register the warranty, and to provide an invoice with specific info for our utility rebate. He accused is of asking for "a lot of extra work." Considering that we had just paid him nearly $9,000, I don't think that maybe a max of 90 minutes of effort would be unreasonable. Plus, the information we were asking for should have been provided automatically. Since then, the owner has not responded to any texts, calls or emails. Our unit is running erratically, so I am not sure the installation was proper. I am working to get another Fujitsu dealer over to check things out. So, again, stay away!!!

Description of Work: Cleaned air duct system (from furnace). We were snowed out of the first appointment, and they never called back to reschedule. After 5 days, I called them and we rescheduled. A half-hour before the appointed time, they cancelled for no apparent reason. A third scheduling went smoothly. They price per hour which is much more reasonable than per vent.
