From the first phone call on Chris was very responsive and keen. We'd had A LOT of trouble finding a contractor willing to take on our project (particularly re-configuring our dated steep enclosed stairs into open down and back stairs). Chris was always available at the end of the phone or email with questions through all stages of the project. No avoidance like we'd experienced with the other contractors when we were just trying to get quotes. Chris gave us a competitive price to essentially finish the basement into two rooms and install new stairs, along with a quick 2 month turnaround - and he really kept to it. The orchestration of all the different subcontractors was quite amazing. There was rarely a day something wasn't been done. When there were hiccups along the way Chris ensured everything was completed and that we were happy with it. The finished product looks great. The beautiful new stairs transformed our main level ? we are very happy with it. The new guest room looks great too and was just tested with our first guests who loved it as well. Particularly if you have an older home (ours is 1950?s) I?d recommend making Chris your first phone call ? we only wish we?d found him sooner!

I think I will go with them out of the two I got an estimate from. The things that stood are he had better design ideas to use with the space and he also had much better price. He was also quick to get back to me with the price of the estimate and the design. He is also certified and he has permit. He knows everything and is very knowledgeable about permits.

The basement met every expectation we had. We are very satisfied with all the detail and hard work that was performed to create a wonderful living space that will be functional for our family. The layout and creativity used to create our floor plan was unique and unparalleled. The basement was a cold and dark area we rarely used, mostly for storage. Now we have a warm and inviting large family gathering space where we can create long lasting memories. We are so happy that we decided to use Everlasting Victorians. Everyone who stepped foot in our home was professional, kind, and experienced. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to transform their dysfunctional and/or unfinished basement to a wonderful living area. We were given everything we asked for plus extra top end features that come standard. Immediately upon purchasing the deal, Chris was on the phone to set up an appointment. He was on time and got right to work. He first measured the basement spaces and then walked me through his process of designing a living space. We discussed the possibilities and went through the things that were must-haves as well as the wish list. He talked about the permits required, the codes that must be met and their potential impact on the final design. We discussed everything from ceiling to floor and all things in-between, e.g., lighting, coverings, insulation, utilities, etc. Very pleased with his thoughts and recommendations. Would definitely recommend him and his company.

Chris Harper at Everlasting Victorians did an outstanding job on our basement finish work. He handled and oversaw every aspect of the project in very thorough and professional manner. He met with us and reviewed our needs then helped us come up with a budget we could meet. As it turned out Chris' cost estimate was the lowest of the bids we received. The project was done within the timeframe we agreed upon and Chris took pains to make sure every part of the work was done to our (and his) satisfaction - he is a perfectionist and it shows in his work product. We absolutely love our basement and we definitely will use Everlasting Victorians for future house repair/remodeling projects.

I could ask him about any design aspect and he had an immediate set of alternatives to propose. - Strong relationships with sub-contractors; Chris brought an exceptional group of subs including electricians, painters, HVAC, etc. He clearly works well with a short-list of very professional subs who, from a customer perspective, operate as one high-performing design and construction company. - I'd like to emphasize Chris' thoughtful design considerations and in addressing the subtleties of residential construction. He has a wealth of experience that can address alternatives and considerations in a very timely fashion. He also thinks through and addresses the impact to the homeowner. For example, he put extra effort to protect our home, furniture, carpet and non-construction areas of the home. He is very effective at customer relations, communication and is in this business for the long-term. Overall, we now consider Chris a trusted friend and professional whom we would call with any and all future building projects. He delivers high quality, complete professionalism with high integrity. We most highly endorse Everlasting Victorians for any and all residential construction projects. When we decide to finish off the rest of the basement, replace the roof or do any other major work on our home we will always call Everlasting Victorians first.

I already signed a contract with them and they are super-professional. My basement is unfinished so they are framing, putting a bathroom, a bedroom, a red room, and everything in. I looked up a bunch of companies, I e-mailed and called companies, as soon as I called them, left a message, and they called me right back. No one else called me right back, no one e-mailed me back, they called me right back and the guy that I talked to told me to go and look on their website while we were talking and told me upfront that they are not the cheapest guys in town but they are the best. I ended up talking to other people and they weren't the cheapest but I read about them on Angie's List, he answered all my questions before I had the chance to ask him. We got the blueprints, I paid everything, and at the end of the month they will begin to start. We designed everything, picked everything up, and I signed the contract. He has done the exact same basement for this model home before and so everything I had in mind, he was already thinking like the lighting scheme, and everything that he wanted to do was actually better than what I wanted. He immediately sent me over a quote, I hadn't even met him yet, it took a few weeks before I met him because they weren't in town and he sent me over a rough quote and a copy of the blueprint of the same type living room just so I would know what we were looking at and he was within the final quote was within a thousand dollars of that. He's been at my house twice and he's 10 minutes early every time. He's prepared, he drew the blueprints up right here at my house. He's very prepared, very professional and when you have questions with design and stuff, he had ideas like how he can make this room look bigger, he's going to do this and that I'm going to get more things from my buck. And some certain things about plumbing, upfront he said, "My plumber, my subcontractor only uses the best stuff and that's non-negotiable. And that's just how we are." I told him upfront that I wanted a good, quality basement, I don't want somebody to come back here and fix anything in 6 months or 2 years. Once this project is done and it goes on how I think it's done then I'm going to use him again next year.

Their best price was a little higher compared to the bid we went with however we were very close to going with them anyway. They were very professional and their work from other jobs looked outstanding. We are happy with the contractor we went with but would consider them for another project without hesitation.

We were very fortunate to have Christopher Harper, of Everlasting Victorians, finish our unfinished basement. Chris helped give our project clarity, direction and warmth. He was very thorough and precise and timely in the construction, electrical & plumbing installation ensuring all local licenses and codes were followed. We have been very delighted with the quality of our finished basement and wholeheartedly would hire him again and recommend him to our friends & family

They are not completely finished with it, but I have been happy with Chris Harper’s work. Chris is extremely creative and he was very helpful and in coming up with a design. We had a picture with what we sort of had in mind and within two weeks, we had bloomed into the whole design. The process did get drawn out a bit longer than expected, but that was more due to the subcontractors and the fires in the area. We have been happy with the work.

We hired Everlasting Victorians as general contractor for our 700 Ft2 addition to our house. We were familiar with Chris’ work and gave him free reign to select color scheme, tile, countertop, fixtures, flooring, lighting, custom mirrors etc. The design and overall quality of work exceeded our expectations. We found it rewarding that regional building inspectors would comment when they came out for inspections that they could not believe the quality of craftsmanship and creative design of our bathroom, and they inspect remodels every day. We highly recommend Everlasting Victorians and have already contracted them to remodel our entire kitchen.

The work was excellent. There were no issues at all. Everything was great!
