I have worked with Denise on several, varied projects over the last years. Her work and work ethic is second to none. In the two hours that Denise was there, not only did we reach the surface of my desk, which had been buried under mounds of paper for a year or more, but we even got my husband started on his desk, too. I still have my homework to do, which is to finish the top-level sort of the rest of the surfaces/bookcases, in my office. Then to do the next level sort of reviewing everything into more detailed categories. Unfortunately, we are in the middle stages of a couple of home remodeling projects and our time is drawn to those right now. However, the goal is to get my homework done and have Denise come back for more organizing help before the Christmas holiday brings lots of friends and family to my house! After the office, I have other areas that I may use Denise's help to purge and de-clutter, too.
Description of Work: Denise first interviewed me to find the reasons I needed organizing help. Then we got right to it, sorting things into "high-level" categories. My next step it to visit each high-level category, review what is in each one and decide what type of storage/filing will be best for me to handle these kinds of items.

I attended a seminar that Denise gave, during which she offered tip-after-tip-after-tip of organizing solutions. What I loved is that she went beyond the usual tangibles (sort into pile x and pile y; use boxes and labels) and gave significant time to organizational thought processes and methods. My organizing pain lies in what I call and quot;shiny object distractionand quot; -- meaning that whatever gets my attention tends to keep my attention. By the jugular. Which is *not* ok when I really do need to set time boundaries, giving appropriate amounts of time to relevant (vs. irrelevant) work. My take-aways from her seminar included a list of apps, links, and forums that are relevant to the way I work and live. I'm still working through the list, keeping the ones that and quot;fitand quot; me and shelving (without guilt) the ones that don't. Lastly, when I receive advice, it's important to me that the adviser and quot;walk their talkand quot;; which in this case means having actually tried and being able to talk to how (for example) a time-organizing app works. And Denise delivered. She competently and confidently answered the peskiest of questions from the group. Note: I am self-employed and time *is* money. Denise's seminar was free and my time was well-spent. Thank you, Denise!

It went flawlessly. She was right on time and even though the car has a unique driving system, she was able to get the car to and from the necessary appointment. Wow! What a big help this was for me. Denise had to wait for the inspection to take place and had also offered to do anything else(emails, phone calls) I needed done while she waited for the car to be done.
Description of Work: Denise took a vehicle to a repair shop for an inspection that was needed. I was not in town so she went to the location of the car, picked it up and then took it for the inspection and returned it.

Denise came out and helped to organize our business. We had paperwork everywhere and needed help making a daily organization system. I had Denise Davis with Effective Organizing Solutions come and organize my office. My desk was trashed and there was papers everywhere. She sorted, filed and organized and threw away stuff I did not need. She created employee files for all of my employees. She bought a new file cabinet for me and delivered it to the office. My old file cabinet was hard to open and move. The new one has wheels. She separated 2013 receipts from the 2014 receipts so I could get ready to turn in my tax stuff to the accountant. She arranged my office furniture to make my office more accessible and customer friendly. I have now have a monthly schedule for her to come and keep me organized. Her services are affordable and now I won't lose important time sensitive documents. If your office is a mesh, give her a call.
