I had a very large area with 20 foot high ceilings that had awkward corners and that looked too barren and empty. I needed something that would fit in the space and that would house a tv and entertainment components. Serena did a great job listening to my concerns and coming up with a plan that fit in with the rest of the house. She works with an excellent builder John Bailey with Bailey Homes in Monument who built the unit. Serena was very involved in the execution of her plan to the tiniest details. We live so far out and she would not hesitate to make the trip out if I had concerns. I was a nervous Nelly and she put up with me during the whole time with grace and true professionalism. She also did designs for drapes in the living room and dining room and a basement bar. We ended up moving temporarily but plan to do when we return. Our renters complimented the built-in as soon as they saw the house. I think it helped us rent our house!

Overall it went pretty well. There were a few glitches here and there as you would expect with any construction job but Serena handled everything that came up. I would give her a call again if had some more work to be done.

Serena first listened to our concens, preferences, and goals; then got a sense for our style. Provided numerous specific and general recommendations for the areas we were interested in updating. Provided lots of information on what to look for and what to avoid. Followed up the very next day with a detailed report on everything we discussed, to include places to find things. Offered to answer follow-up questions regarding this consultation after we "processed" all the information. Was accommodating on meeting date/time and was very personable. Very observant and listened well. Would not hesitate to call her again.

It went great. She helped me pick colors that I never would have thought of myself and they go really well with my furniture. She had lots of good ideas and was frank when I wanted her to be but she was sensitive to recongnize that there were some things we would not change due to finances and helped me work around those issues. She was also able to help me with contractors for carpeting and wood flooring and brought samples to my home to pick out what would be best and she provided many different samples and price ranges. She also acted as my liaison with the contractors and invloved herself with the scheduling and progress of the project. I paid her $195 for two separate idea visits but I was not charged for the time she spent dealing with the contractors. She is also sweet and a lot of fun.
