Affordable Flooring Connection

Nice guy, but didn't act like he wanted the business and we're pretty low maintenance folks. We had to call and chase after him for our quote, then we asked for a new quote on different carpet; that took several days. Never got a sense of urgency with this guy. Went to Carpet Exchange, and got a quote from them. Asked for another quote from Affordable, and it took about a week. At that point, we were over with him and chose Carpet Exchange.

Wrong carpet was ordered, but Tom put a rush on the correct one. Happy with carpet and quality of installation. : )

The biggest surprise for me was the price they quoted was FAR lower than the bigger "box" retailers. I was very satisfied. Tom Roddam was the contact person and they came out measured, and gave us a quote and had the whole job done in one day. They were very prompt, courteous and we are very very happy overall.

Tom Roddam, the owner, bent over backwards to earn our business and to make sure that we were aware of all of the various options available to us in both the carpet and hard wood flooring options. We invited 4 different businesses to bid on our whole house flooring needs. The price range was as high as $32,000 by Empire to Tom's at $17,000. Of special note is that one of the agencies was Costco which is one of my favorite places to do business. They came in lower than Tom's bid by $2,000 but I asked him to look at his bid again because I liked his product and him better. He contacted his suppliers and negotiated with them to win the bid by $50. He went the extra mile to win the business! Everthing turned out great and as priced and sceduled. The carpet installers were unbelievable in their work ethic, professionalism, and quality of work performed. The hard wood floor installer was experienced and really produced an excellent final product. The only problem with him was that he ruined some base boards which had to be replaced, got some stain on some freshly painted walls and baseboards that we had just had done. Tom made an adjustment to compensate for the damage and it all turned out ok. Overall, I was very satisfied with Tom, his product, his price, and the way the job was completed. I have already given him two referrals with my positive recommendation! They were great.

Their price was a part of the big number that I spent on my major project.
