handyman service
+ -1 moreThis man is a one person operation that personifies what a "Handyman" is supposed to be. He came out the day I called to review my needs and give me an estimate. There was no charge for this service. We discussed several options and he came up with a great money nsaver that would do the job. He quoted me a cost of $200 that was very reasonable in my opinion. The next day he came prepared to solve the problem with various material. It was finished quicker than anticipated and only charged me $100. This man has extensive capabilities - plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, woodwork, etc.and is wiling to help in almost any area needed. He was friebdly, communicated very well and is honest as the day is long. His word or a handshake is as good as gold.
Description of Work: A section of wood on the outside of my house had rotted and needed to be cleaned out, replaced and painted - the painting is being done by someone else I had committed to for the work for a much larger job. I only wish I had found this individual first!!

+ -1 moreBill has been to our home so many times I couldn't count them all, so clearly I am highly satisfied with his work. I feel completely comfortable having him in my home; he has a key so can work when I am not here. He responds right away to phone calls, is gentlemanly, and cleans up after himself. If I'm not completely satisfied with a job, he'll take care of it. Bill's charges are very reasonable, less than you'll pay for businesses like Handyman Connection because he doesn't have their overhead. Some tasks he has done for no charge. He says he wants clients for the long-term and he treats them well. He does like to talk and tell stories, but I just keep doing what I'm doing while he works and chats. My dogs like him, too.
Description of Work: Bill has been coming to our house regularly since last fall to do a variety of handyman jobs around our house. The first job I asked him to do was to add a door where there was none between the master bedroom and bath. That snowballed into a bathroom remodel, including removing a jacuzzi tub, a new tile floor, eliminating a doorway, removing the old vanity and plumbing the new one, toilet install, building a countertop and framing a mirror, new trim and painting. He has painted various walls and ceilings and installed new wood trim. He has repaired water-damaged drywall, hung towel rods, and utility hooks, hung wood blinds, moved a built-in ironing board, and added a new dog-door to a sliding glass door. Bill has also added sliding shelves to my kitchen cupboards, installed a range hood over my range (a 2-day job including venting through the ceiling and a concrete wall), helped me move furniture, and made my gas fireplace work again. He has gone shopping with me at Home Depot several times to help with product choices. Tomorrow he will be hanging new cupboards in my laundry room. The list of jobs that need doing seems endless, but Bill willingly tackles them all.
