I had a very pleasant experience with Rudy and his crew. They installed a fairly large wooden fence on my property, re-stained my 2000 square foot garage, installed some gutters and snow bars on my roof and did some deck repair. Everything was done with extreme care, attention to detail and professionalism. The quality was superb and Rudy was very communicative throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Vargas Home Improvement for anything you might need done in the way of remodeling and/or general home improvement.

Vargas Home Improvement did an outstanding job on our project: resurfacing our wood deck with composite boards, posts, and rails. First and foremost, the owner, Rudy, was always timely in responding and communicating with us. Throughout all phases of the project, Rudy kept us informed and listened and responded to any and all questions or concerns that arose. Everyone that showed up on the work site was friendly, had a great deal of experience, and were hard workers. The price for the project was very reasonable in comparison to other quotes we received. Therefore, our project finished early, came in within budget, and we were updated and kept informed throughout the whole project. That's a successful project and we would definitely recommend Vargas Home Improvement, and Rudy will be our first call for any other similar projects in the future.

I hired Rudy to remodel two bathrooms and spruce up two decks. He did a great job. The bathrooms were full remodels, converting tubs to showers, redoing tile, and updating the vanities. Rudy was reliable, timely and stayed on budget. He communicated well throughout the project and did high quality work. I'd use him again for future projects and recommend him to others.

Rudi, and Vargas Construction was a great crew to have work on our project. They were a pleasure to work with, they got it all done very promptly, and met all our expectations. They can do it all., Their rates are very fair. We had multiple things needing done. I am happy to recommend them and will hire them again for any future projects.

So far we hired him for a spring cleanup of our yard. But plan to have him mow the lawn later and also some other repair work. He did a very good job and will sure recommend him to others. He cleaned up about 30 bags or more of leaves and sticks and hauled everything away ! Now we can see our grass !

We had a large exterior refresh; old siding tear off, new insulation, new siding, metal work, runoff drain, metal roof and new gutters. Rudy was quick with his initial response and quote, and got the job because of it. We are so happy with out exterior remodel, all the subs he had did excellent work and Rudy was very dedicated to getting the project done, even having his guys here on the weekend. Even when the unforeseen problems happened- as always happens in construction- he was very communicative and gave us options to the setbacks and let us decide on the solution. Thanks to Rudy we have the best looking house on the block! We have recommended him to our friends and would definitely hire him again when its time to do our next project.

Rudy was great to work with! Made us feel our project was top priority. Finished in a timely manner and always cleaned up after each day. Rudy was great, he really cared about my bathroom remodel. He is friendly and hard working. We had some challenges with broken items and delivery times with Home Depot and he offered to take things back and pick things up beyond what I considered to be normal. He even removed a claw foot tub that weighed about a ton from my house and I literally have 30 stairs up to my front door. We plan on hiring Rudy again for home improvements.

On May 15, 2018, I detailed many small projects that I needed help with. Vargas claimed to have experience with all of them & was free the next 3 days. He was to be here 9:30 the next morning. At 10:15 I called, he was very busy and had no idea when he could help me. I told him I was posting a negative review for standing me up, he asked for an opportunity to make it up to me by working Fri afternoon and all day Sat. He worked 4.5 hours Fri. All he accomplished was cutting an 8' piece of siding into 6 strips and installing an exterior door, which already had the frame installed. He spent one hour determining a storm door I bought was too big. He spent over one hour determining a screen door I bought was too big but not before damaging it so it cannot be returned. When he measured the old screen, he said it was too big but thought he could make it work. He cut the rubber seals on the new screen door and tried to install it. It was too big, he could not make it fit. He determined the 3 interior doors were too big; but they are not. A Home Depot advisor said he just needed to square the frame, but this was beyond Vargas' ability, so he could not install them. Fri, he stopped at Home Depot & said we needed connections between each section of gutter. I could tell he had discussed installing rain gutters at Home Depot. I said those connectors would create seams, which would catch debris. I wanted seamless rain gutters. I explained he needed to snip a piece off each section to allow them to overlap slightly and apply silicone to seal the connection to make them seamless. He agreed. Even tho he said he had installed seamless rain gutters before, it was obvious he had not. I asked him to take the old exterior & screen door to dumpster 1 block away which would lock at 5:00 and not open Sat. He said he would take the doors with him Sat but did not. He said he was going to GJ Mon and would return the storm door for me but did not. He came Sat at 8:30 but did not come in. At 9:00 I asked him if we could please get started. He couldn't find his headphones. I asked him to begin by taping the vertical corners in the room I needed skimmed with mud so they could dry so he could tape the horizontal corners before leaving. He had not brought tools for that but I had them. He said he would rather begin by installing the closet doors while his mind was fresh. He said he could work only until 2:30. He cut the bottom closet door runner too short. I asked him to tape the corners next. Instead, he installed 1/4 round trim along approx 50 of floor, which took him forever. I asked him to at least tape the vertical corners, but he said I could probably do that room myself. I realized he did not know how to do drywall. At 1:45 he said he had to be out the door by 2:00. I had cut green sheetrock in sections to fit on a stand with 5 shelves & asked if he had a saw that could cut small round holes in each corner to make them fit. Rudy was prompt in his initial response to our inquiry and in his coming to our home to estimate the work and provide a quote. His work was on time and on budget. As a result of his good work on our bathroom, we also hired him to install a metal roof on our barn. Both projects were completed to our satisfaction.

Vargas Home Improvement did the best. They finished ahead of schedule and were very clean and respectful of my property. I highly recommend this company.

Rudy did a fantastic job tiling my bathroom and I could tell that he took great pride in his work. He's very friendly and completed the work in in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering hiring him.
