Description of Work: Tim is AWESOME, he comes to you and helps you find the best deal in windshields. My ONLY concern was he WAS hard to schedule. I think he was going through some business growing pains, and was in Grand Junction and maybe Gunnison several days, making it hard to snag him in Montrose at the time. Hopefully he's worked those out. He's super nice. |

Description of Work: Tim came up to our house (an hour from town) changed the windshield in my Subaru. We were so pleased we had him come up three days later to change the windshield in the truck. He was professional, reasonably priced, and friendly.

They met us at a convenient location since we lived 100 miles away and put our windshield in while we shopped. We have not had a bit of trouble with the windshield and we left on a road trip to California that night. It has been great driving with no cracks.

Tim arrived 10:30AM, a little earlier than scheduled and was very pleasant. I left him to do his work and went in the house to wait for him to finish. After approximately 1.5 hrs - 2 hrs later Tim informed me he was finished. I went and looked at the outside of the windshield and it appeared to look like he had done a good job. He informed me not to drive the vehicle for 2 hours so that the adhisive could dry. At 2:45 PM I got into my truck to go pick up my grandsons from school and noticed a reflection in the windshield over the steering wheel, I raised up so I could see what it was, to my shock, my dash had been badly gouged in several places. As soon as I arrived at the school I called Tim on his cell phone and told him who I was and that he had replaced my windshield that morning. He said yes he remembered me and I informed him that there was alot of damage to my dash. He said he hadn't noticed any damage and that he had cleaned the dash off after he had finished. I asked if he would like to see pictures and I took pictures and sent them to him right then. He said he didn't know how he could have missed that. And he would be up next Thursday and stop by to inspect the dash. When he arrived the next Thursday he admitted that he had cause the damage and asked what it would take to make it right, after all it was his company and name. I told him the dash would have to be replaced and that my husband wanted to have Fuco Honda do it. Tim said he wanted to do it and I told him that he needed to talk with my husband and made sure he had all of our phone numbers.Tim told me he would call my husband. After not hearing anything from Tim, we had Fuco Honda replace the dash. While they were replacing the dash, they discovered that Tim had cut the heating wires to the bottom of the windshield instead of connecting them. So not only did we have to have our dash replaced we had to also have another windshield installed all together the cost of the damage and 2nd windshield and the cost of a loner car came to $1545.19. The address on the receipt is a vacant address and we can not seem to find a valid one to send Tim the bill we acquired due to his inability to preform his job without causing damage.

Tim's Auto Glass LLC 7366 6075 rd Olathe Colo.81425. We did do a windshield replacement on the member's Ridgeline at her location in Parachute CO. After which she contacted Tim about damage noticed to her dash pad. Tim asked for pictures and the member provided them and an apt was schedualed for further inspection. Durring the inspection it was determined that Tim could not have done that damage as there were no tools used that would create the damage indicated by the member. The damage was semi circular and in a repeat pattern as would be created by a saw or repeating device. The tools used on a Honda Ridgeline are hand tools and non power, therefor it was determined that the damage could have been caused by a previouse window replacement and just never noticed. This was relayed to her. She stated that they had never had a window replaced in this vehicle prior to this one but aggreed that the marks did not look like any tool that was shown to her from the selection in the van. It was explained that its not uncommon for a dealer to have windows replaced on even new cars before they are sold. Even though it was determined that we hadnt caused the damage, the members are repeat customers and every customer is important to us, Tim decided to go ahead and help them out in the interest of going over and above for our customers, Tim got the VIN for the vehicle and got pricing and availibility for a new dash pad and left hand speaker cover, (Aprox $380 for both) and made arangements with the member to change out the dash and cover, as Tim is certified to do so (was employed at Fuoco motors for 2 years working on honda cars and trucks in their body shop as a master certified tech. The member agreed and the dash was ordered. The following day Megan at Tims Auto Glass recieved a call from the member who was angry about nothing beign done with the Honda Ridgeline. It was explained to him that parts were ordered and had to be shipped, and that it was very much in proccess. He was yelling and using vulgar language at Megan and saying that we had "F**ked up his car and were going to pay for it. He then told her that he wanted to talk to Tim. Tim returned his call and again the member was very crude and vulgar. He said that we were going to pay for Fuoco Honda to provide and install a new dash and we were not going to work on it. Tim tried to calm him down and explain to him that we were only offering to replace the dash in the interest of going over and above for our customer, that we did NOT do the damage and would not be paying for labor that we could do competently. He became almost enraged and began screaming and yelling and pretty much throwing a fit on the phone to a point where Tim could no longer understand him, this went on for at least a few minutes. Tim again tried to calm him down, at that point the member said that he was going t o make us pay for every thing and we'd be writing him a check after that. He said he would find everything he could to make the bill as high as possible and that he'd teach us a lesson. Tim again tried to reason with him and he again began screaming and yelling, even threatening Tim personaly saying he was going to kick his ass if he found him. Tim told him that he was going to call the police and the member said not to call him again and hung up. After about 5 minutes Tim called him back thinking that he was maybe calmed down enough at that point, but the member again started yelling and using vulgar language. and again told Tim not to call him and hung up. We have had no further contact with either of the members. We were going to replace the dash at our cost and with our labor. This was aranged prior to the members involvement, it would have been an easy thing with little or no effort on the members part, even though we did not do the damage, we were simply trying to be nice. Tim did tell the member that if he chose to use any other company to repair his dash that we would not be paying for it as we did not do the damage and no proof was offered that we did do the damage, just that it had not been noticed before. It was explained very clearly to him that if he wanted someone eles to do the work that he would be paying for it and that we would not be invlolved. We will not tolerate abusive or vulgar actions or language twards any of our family or employees in anyway, The heating wire was most likely severed durring the removal of the dash as its location is very close to the passenger corner and the contact on the glass are very easily broken off. We consider this matter closed.

I contacted at least 35 windshield companies and no one could beat Tim's price. They came out on Tuesday and were on time. He and his wife Megan were the nicest people you would ever want to talk to. He gave me a sheet that stated that if the windshield cracks from a rock, he will replace the first one for free. Any leaks are covered. He also vacuumed immaculately when finished. Even gave me a can of free windshield cleaner. No one can beat their price and service. They are experts and licensed.
