The move was about triple the estimate. They lost a small piece of our daughter's bed, and now we can't put the bed together. When I called to inquire after unpacking the entire garage to make sure it wasn't there, I was told they check their trucks at the end of the day and there was no way they could have lost it. They also told me they have a 96 hour claim window, so I was out of luck. They told me that they did disassemble and reassemble things like beds when I made the appointment, but the movers told me no when they arrived. They were sarcastic about having to move boxes of books. Frankly, that's why I hired them- what part of their job don't they understand? I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The estimate for moving was far less than what the actual cost was, but the staff did make an adjustment for the extra cost. There were not enough movers, only 2 when moving into the new home (second day). They got tired and took hours longer than anticipated which drove the cost higher. This was for moving items from a 3000+ square foot two-story home to another. They did not wrap the stair rail posts and damaged it in several areas. The house is brand new so the marks were all noticeable. They chipped out several large chunks of wood on an expensive bed on the bed posts and then tried to say that was there before. The chunks of wood were found in the truck and on the floor in the bedroom. There were numerous scratches on another bed as well and a noticeable dent on the front of my bedroom set dresser. They also broke a lamp and tried to say it must have been like that. After that I said I would like to make note of the damage and they tried to talk me out of filling out the report and said it would come out of their wages if I did. I filed it anyway so I could get the damage repaired. The company found a replacement piece for the damage on the bed and took the lamp for repair. The replacement piece came in broken as well and it was the last of its kind. Because the bill was so much higher (about $400) than the original estimate, I paid the estimate amount plus an overnight charge for use of the truck and stated that I would like to speak with the managers the next day about the damage and the price. The guy I was talking to was visibly shaking and appeared very nervous that I wouldn't sign the statement agreeing to the final charges. They had to take a second trip back to my first house because the truck was estimated at the wrong size for my things. They left many of these things in the garage of the new home and did not put them in the new house. This included a hand-knotted silk area rug and artwork. The next day the managers came to check the damage. They were apologetic and said they would fix the damage. That part was fine although ultimately it did not turn out good. I asked them if they could carry the rug to the basement for me since it was quite large and they happily did so. As we went down to the basement I notice a terrible smell of urine at the bottom of the stairs and commented on it to the two men. One said he could smell it too. The smell was awful, so I had a friend go downstairs about an hour later to see if he could smell it. He smelled it immediately at the bottom of the stairs. We looked around and quickly located the source when we took the cover off the sump pump hole (no pump in it yet, but just a thick plastic liner). It was wet in the bottom and the stench of urine was very strong. One of the movers (or both) must have urinated in the hole after I said I would file the damage complaint. This hole was dry the day prior to moving and did not smell!! I had done a final walk through the house with the builder's representative and my realtor and none of this was there or smelled. I also did a walk-thru with the home warranty inspector and a friend of mine who is a construction manager. We had looked in the hole prior to the move-in to discuss the sump pump and how it works. It was dry then also and did not smell. No one else was in the home besides the two moving guys and me before this smell was noticed. I do not have any pets either. One of the movers also smoked in one of the bathrooms of the house I was moving out of and closed the door and put the fan on. I should have been unpacking and settling into my new home and enjoying it instead of cleaning up after this company. I feel so insulted and abused by this company. My new home now smells like urine in the basement. I am also afraid that if I were to ever get a pet they would urinate over the same area to try to cover the smell. I asked the company to pay for professional cleaners to come and disinfect and clean the area, but they never replied to the request. They also denied any responsibility for this occurrence. This whole incident has left a horrible, horrible image of this company and I would NEVER hire them again or recommend them to anyone.
