Description of Work: Except for some wild glue over the walls and doors, and some inappropriate talk by one of the workers, which ended once I said something about it, they were slow, but did a fine job.

Description of Work: We basically had new floors installed through out the first level of our house since the carpet was outdated, and we prefer other coverings besides carpet. We had cork installed in the kitchen and hallway, and engineered hickory planks in the living/dining room and three bedrooms. It looks wonderful and the crew at Schmidt's did a excellent job from the salesperson and the dispatcher, to the installers. We would definitely recommend Schmidts and use them for future needs.

 + -1 moreThey were great. They were very professional, they were punctual, and they were easy to have around the house. They were nice and they did a great job. They are way above the quality of some floors that we already had in the house. We had several estimates and we got a lower estimate, but their quality was much worse. I thought their price was very reasonable; I was expecting to pay more.
Description of Work: Schmidt Custom Floors installed wood floors. We had quite a bit done.

 + -1 moreWe loved the floor and the way it blended in with the rest of the hardwood we already had, you can't see where it stopped or began. Very pleased with their service, they were on time, worked constantly, very pleasant and professional. I would definitely have them again as I had three quotes and their quote was the most reasonable. The others couldn't guarantee me the rest of the hardwood would blend in. This company knows what they're doing.
Description of Work: Removed old carpet, applied KLZ on floor (because I have a pet who dirty floor) laid hardwood floor, sanded (hardly any residue from this,) applied finish 3 times.

 + -1 moreThe crew started out the week saying they would have everything done by Thursday. I think that since it was mostly just one big room, they had underestimated the amount of detailed cutting and installation that would need to be done (for instance around a floor drain in the laundry area). They ended up getting it all done, but having to work long days Wed and Thurs, more an inconvience for them than for us. We did find a few rough spots in the finish in the area under where the vanity was going back in. If we had planned on putting in a pedestal sink, it might have been something we would have wanted to call them back out for. Overall, we are very happy with the results and the attention to detail on the job.
Description of Work: Installed sub floor over concrete, and then standard wood floor over that. A large area was done including a bath, laundry, hall/walkway, stairs and living area. Fireplace hearth required custom cuts. Trim was removed and re-installed. Doors were removed, trimmed and re-installed. Everything looks great and the finish is holding up well. The floors feel completely solid, no squeaks or lift anywhere. We love it, and are sooo glad we finally got rid of the 20 year old worn, stained carpet, and torn vinyl.
