+ -1 moreAwesome company! We called to check pricing and were greeted pleasantly and promptly. They were able to come the next morning, after ordering parts needed) and contacted us when on their way and were on time. They ran into some major issues with the location we had hoped for installation due to age and configuration of the existing line. They did their best to clean that area up from years of neglect and advised us while they could install there, they did not recommend that location. They spent time looking at all other options and then installed the outlet at a convenient and safer area. Very nice, knowledgeable and honest people, which is something hard to find these days. Would highly recommend the company. For such prompt service and all the extras they had to do to enable us to have the 50 AMP their price was extremely reasonable. Thanks guys!

He not only diagnosed and repaired the problem, but gave us a lot of information and advice regarding the way our home wiring is set up and what to watch out for in future. He did all this in a short amount of time and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely call Josh for future electrical work.

Description of Work: We had electrical issues in the condo the day before putting it up for sale. I called many other electricians and no one was able to come out for over a week. Josh made time to fit us in, was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem in less than an hour and did not overcharge for the last minute appointment. Very professional and responsive. Will definitely use them again!

+ -1 morePeterson Electric called right back after I left them a message and they were able to assist us the same week. They also called 20 min ahead of arrival time so that we knew that they were coming. Joshua was able to resolve issue with the outlets. In addition they found that the GCFI outlets were not installed correctly. Since GCFI was already in the breaker box the extra GCFI on the outlets was causing the system to trip the breaker. I also mentioned a home inspection that we had concerning a other GCFI issues. Even though this was outside of the original scope they sorted out all of the issues to ensure that we did not have problems in the future. They also took the time to describe all of the work that they did and explain the code (and show us the requirements in the electricians manual). Taught me that it is really not worth the money to allow a handyman to change GCFI outlets. I would definitely use them in the future.

Description of Work: Replaced out-of-code, outside electrical panel with brand-new equipment. Interior light switches and outlets professionally pig-tailed to eliminate possibility of fire. Installed/repaired several indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. The home we purchased in late 2014 was built in 1971 and it needed an upgrade to the electrical system. The outdoor electrical panel was original to the house and in the years since construction, this particular panel design was declared out-of-code and a fire hazard. Also, the house had been built during a copper shortage so aluminum connections had been used on all the outlets and switches. The aluminum connections increase the risk of overheated connections and also a fire hazard. After doing some research on the best way to comprehensively fix the wiring problem (pig tailing) we found Peterson Electric because of a video Josh Peterson had posted on how best to address the problem. We contacted Josh and asked him draw up an estimate for both the wiring and electrical panel work, a schedule was determined and we moved forward. Our main concern was ensuring the safety of the house by minimizing the risk of any possible electrical fires. Josh and his wife came in and re-wired all the outlets with AlumiConn connectors rather than the standard crimp connectors, eliminating possible overheating. This took a few days due to the sheer number of outlets and switches in the house. The original outdoor electrical panel was a rat's nest of wires that hadn't been upgraded since the house was been built. A few days of work resulted in a clean box and efficiently wired fuses, all properly labelled. We have huge piece of mind knowing the electrical system has been comprehensively and professionally upgraded. Josh and Alisha Peterson are incredibly informed of current code requirements and are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to available options in solving electrical issues. Peterson electrical is now our go-to company for any future electrical work. Highly recommended.
