He showed up a little late, but was very apologetic had trouble finding our house (which is not uncommon). Was good and gave a detailed quote. He seemed to have experience and had lots of ideas on what we could do. We ended up deciding to do something else with the area but next time I need a landscaper I will call again.

Felix and his staff are great to work with. There is a slight language barrier ,with his staff but the work itself is quite good.

Felix did a fantastic job in coming out to give me an estimate on my patio. He was very honest about the costs of the job in his estimate and had it to me within days. Very punctual in his estimate and his appointment.

Felix and crew were superb. I received an estimate within hours after my request, and they were able to start work by the next week. The job was extensive and required a lot of excavation/removal of debris, and they performed the job quickly and with very minimal wear and tear to my property. Each crew member was very knowledgeable and readily answered all my questions. They went to great lengths to do everything above and beyond my expectations. They finished the work very quickly (given the weather conditions), and followed up on the finishing touches by the next day. I have used many contractors over the years, and Mayan Creations rates as one of the best I have ever experienced. I was very pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail, expertise, and eagerness to please the customer. Their knowledge, job performance, and quality of work in the many facets of this job was unparalleled, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their landscaping services .

I've had a good experience with them. The price was reasonable. They seem to be really honest. They show up when you expect them to come and they were professional.

We live on an acre of land which was designed and renovated about 20 years ago. It was time to update the property and remove some of the grassy areas with more shrubs and mulch. In March after getting the design plans from Sharon Lockwood Designs, I called Felix asking if he could give me an estimate. He came out a couple of days later and gave me the estimate in a couple of days. We were very satisfied with his estimate. His crew came out and worked without stopping for the most part. Everything went like clockwork. We had them do a lot more than his original bid so we ended up paying more, of course. But it was a reasonable price. The backyard looks spectacular. His crew is neat, polite, and courteous. They even worked Saturday and Sunday to get the job completed in a timely manner. I believe the backyard took about five days which is really incredible with the amount of work that was done. They also started renovating the front yard at the end of the five days. It was good that there was a little break between the time that the front yard renovation began since we needed to get our cash ready for the next stage. Felix came out on June 6th to go over the front yard plans and fees. He asked if I wanted them to put more soil in and I said yes. We wanted some additional plants, edging, and mulch which, of course, was extra from the original bid, but still very reasonable. They started working in the front yard on Friday and finished the following Monday. There was always someone in charge of the crew who could speak English on both projects. If I had a question or wanted something in addition done, they were always more than ready to go the extra mile. I will hire them again next year to fine tune our sprinkler system and put in a stone patio floor.

Felix was our primary contact. He was prompt when coming to provide the initial bid for the work, and was polite and friendly. We did not receive the written estimate, and had to call him back a few weeks later to inquire about it. We scheduled the work to be done, and the workers arrived on time. The job was to last three days. We paid 40% up front. While the work was being done, we noticed workers occasionally going into our back yard behind the shed, when all of the work was being done in the front yard. Apparently they were using this area as their toilet, despite having access to our bathrooms in the house and one public restroom at the park directly across the street. At the end of the third day, we were expecting them to update us on whether it was finished, give us a tour and rundown of all of the work done, and ask for payment. Instead, they packed up and left without a word. We werent even sure if the work was complete, much less working properly. We waited around the house an extra couple of hours thinking they just needed to drop off and equipment and perhaps come back? We heard nothing. I called and left voicemails and sent emails, and none were returned until the next week. They had completely forgotten to install the drip lines. They had left beer cans and trash in the yard. When they came back to install the forgotten line, they never announced their arrival or what they were there to do. I went outside to find out what the status was, but noone spoke enough english to tell me. Finally, the work seemed complete, but several of the sprinklers pointed in the wrong direction, and all of the new zones were putting out so much water, we were watering the streets and the sidewalks more than the lawn. Finally, Felix came by to do the finish walk through. I pointed out the problems and he translated to his workers to fix them. When all finally seemed vaguely acceptable, we paid them the final amount and they left. One week later, we came home to a flooded swampy yard and water pouring into the street. The water pressure was too much for the pipes that were installed in the new box, and it burst. To their credit, they came back over the next few days and installed heavier fittings and stronger pipes, and seemed to try very hard to make things right. Finally, since removal of a lot of the vegetation revealed some cracks in our foundation (not their fault!), I had a structural engineer come out to evaluate the cracks. While there, he said that Mayan Creations had put the new sprinkler lines too close to the house, which may cause problems with saturated soils damaging the foundation, and recommended we have them moved further out away from the house. At this point, we will turn off the system until spring, and have a different company make the changes next year. We dont want to deal with them again.
