Very pleased with Kahar plumbing and will plan on using them in the future. My experience with them could not have gone better. They are extemely professional and cleaned up everything when they were finished. Jeff also provided me with some advice based on other basements he had done in the neighborhood that probably save me a lot of trouble. I was going to cut the concrete in the basement to relocate the plumbing fixtures. Because it was an engineered basement floor this would have been a very bad idea and an expensive mistake.

Everything went as expected.

The kitchen sink clogged as I was preparing dinner -- after hours for the plumbers. So I called Kahar and left a message to please return my call ASAP the next morning. The owner called and arranged a time at 7:30 a.m., and the plumber was at my house promptly at 8:30 as promised. He ran the snake through the pipes as far as it would reach twice before the clog was finally cleared. He noticed that the garbage disposal was wet inside and likely leaking -- he didn't pressure me to replace it, just honestly answered my questions and I decided that it was best to replace. He was very conscientious -- he cleaned everything up really well -- and professional. I will use Kahar again for any future plumbing needs.

Their estimator returned my call within 4 hours and got the details of what I wanted. He called the next day with a price and a time estimate for the special order. The day of the scheduled service, their workers arrived exactly on time and were alert and professional. The plumbing supply house had given them the wrong part, and they immediately called them to get the error corrected. During installation of one of the toilets, they discovered one of the local water shutoff valves was broken, so they fixed it on the spot, and didn't charge me extra even though I told them to add it to the bill. They tested the new units, left everything clean and took the old ones away to be recycled. The bill arrived within two weeks, was exactly the amount originally quoted, and was clear and easy to understand. I've used Kahar Plumbing before for repairs and remodels, and would recommend them to anyone.
