+ -1 moreWhile we had people come out and check the issues we are having with the control to open the blinds, we were told this would be replaced, apparently the ball was dropped. We are now asked to take a video of the issues we are having with the vertical blinds and Hunter Douglas will replace. Even though this was reported to Colorado Blinds and Design in the last quarter of last year or first quarter of this year, window coverings were installed in approximately October/November of 2021, I am now told there will be a labor charge of 100.00. Nice way to deal with a customer who has spent better than 8,000.00 with your business!

+ -1 moreI ordered a specialty blind from them 5 weeks ago and put 3/4 of the total down for services. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks. They called today and said that they had lost it and needed to come back out and re-measure and start over. They offered No discount; only excuses. I cancelled.

+ -1 moreThe installion of our 15 blinds was totally completed to perfection in one day. We give them our highest, most unqualfied rating! No wonder they have earned the Better Business highest rating!
Description of Work: We had purchased planatation shutters for every windown in our home when we moved here 14 years ago from Colorado Blinds and Designs. They were beautiful and we loved them! However, we began to notice that the blinds were becoming discolored over the years regardless of the meticulous care of cleaning that we gave them. So I called Judy, and she and Tom came down to our home in Thornton, took photos of the discolored blinds, took one blind and sent them to the company. In short order, they reinstalled brand new blinds over our entire home--and all we paid was an installation fee because these blinds were guaranteed for 25 years! These new blinds have been redesigned and are much improved over the old ones. They are really beautiful--and what a difference it made! Colorado Blinds and Design totally stands behind their products and really services their customers. It is the only place we will ever go for all our window treatment needs. You will not regret purchasing your window treatment from them. We won't go anywhere else!

+ -1 moreAbout two years ago I took several Hunter Douglas blinds to Judy for repair. At that time the repairs for each blind were $20 and the work appeared to be done satisfactorily. One on the cords on one of the blinds that were repaired by Judy and/or her staff just failed. I was just told by Judy that the single blind repair would now cost an additional $70. A replacement blind could cost less! The real problem was Judy's arrogant and rude demeanor when I asked for a slightly better price based upon the fact that the previous repair done by her firm was not durable. Stay away from these people!

Description of Work: Michelle was most helpful and was very punctual arriving at my home. Though I was upgrading to a different manufacturer she made the extra effort to insure all the colors and pleating matched on the blinds I wasn't replacing. Installation was prompt and courteous, Michael put paper booties on his shoes before entering my home and cleaned window sills and his work area before leaving. I am replacing more blinds soon and Colorado Blinds will be the only call I make.

+ -1 moreJudy called back as I had mentioned I needed some design services, which I have decided to wait until later to do. Her company sent out the person who does their drapery hanging and repair. The man arrived on time, showed my husband how to hang the draperies in case we needed to in the future, and hung them beautifully. He also fixed our Roman shades, unfortunately only temporarily, but he told me what needed to be done for a permanent fix. I'm sure he would have done it himself if I let him take the shades away, but with the cold weather I need the insulated shades for heat loss reduction. I was glad he demonstrated how I could do it myself in case I need to. The call charge was a bit steep, but I do live in the country north of Fort Collins and they are in Loveland, so I understand that.
Description of Work: Hung some draperies we had cleaned, and fixed some Roman shades.

+ -1 morePlease refer to Services Performed. Overall everything went very smooth; all appointments were on time, the work was professional and Judy was personally attentive to customer satisfaction.
Description of Work: I ordered custom pleated drapes, double lined, for a very huge picture window and a sliding glass door. These are very large draperies, ceiling to floor - weighing about 30+ lbs each. The finished product was exquisite and gave my rooms a real fashion uplift. Judy's also did the installation; quickly and with no problems. I will definitely call on her again when I am ready to upgrade window coverings in other rooms.
