Asphalt Paving and Seal Coating

The work was done in a shoddy manner which left the drive looking tacky. this man, John and his brother were very, very rude and discourteous when I made an attempt to discuss the problem with him. His method is to interrupt the speaker in mid sentence thus not allowing the statement to be completed. I requested that John come back out to veiw the work. He did and another argument occurred in which he ordered me not to speak to him if he were to correct the problem. When I asked that he put any aggreement in writing, he stormed off to his truck stating that he wasn't going to do anything in fixing this problem. Sarah H Stars-0

Almost all of the paving was very satisfactory. Mr. McNally did leave the turnaround in my drive not thick enough and the asphalt is crumbling up and grass is growing up in places. I tried to discuss this with him and he only wanted to put the sealer on the turnaround which would not have solved the problem. He was very rude to me on the phone and all I was asking is for the turnaround to be done again to insure the asphalt would not come up. I can't honestly recommend this company to anyone and consumer should be aware that they will NOT come back to honor their contract that they guarantee the work.

John is a good guy, and the paving job went okay. I was disappointed to watch them unnecessarily drive heavy equipment onto our lawn, to see well-defined footprints in the new surface, to see quite a few areas where there were depressions that the roller apparently didn't reach, resulting in loose and crumbly spots, and asphalt slopped up on our vinyl siding. Overall, I didn't feel that Asphalt Paving lived up to its excellent reputation. I would probably recommend them to a friend but with reservations.

I used McNally in Woodstock and I would recommend him. The work was completed on time and was professionally done.

I appreciate McNally's, the contractor's, efforts to make things right. I may recommend this Asphalt Paving but not without explaining the circumstances. The McNally's crew returned and worked on the driveway to make some adjustments to correct some drainage issues. I am better satisfied that the water is not now running into the carport as much but I am still somewhat concerned about he appearance of that patch fix. Now there is a raised scar like patch of asphalt about 1/2 inch deep and about 3 to 4 inches wide running across the two car wide driveway about 6 inches from the concrete slab for the two car carport. I now feel like I have to remember to step over this area to keep from knocking stones loose or stumbling. Peter McNalley, the contractor's brother said he would be checking back periodically and that they would make it right. I believe they are honest but I hope they will come up with a solution that looks more professional. The rest of the driveway looks acceptable but there are still three area of pooling when it rains. One thin wide are about 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep and about 10 ft x10 ft in front of the carport and two areas of pooling each about 1/2 inch to 1 inch deep and 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet wide to the right and near the front right edge of the carport. Thought the drainage has improved after the patch strip was added in front of the carport, the described concerns remain. I believe this contractor has the ability and knowledge to resolve these concerns in short order if they decide to make it a priority. It appears the McNally's want to and intend to make needed adjustments but implementation and completion may have to wait till tomorrow.
