Called Mike, agreed to come out and meet at a specified time. Was a little late but I let it slide. Told him what I wanted in regards to the arrangement of the deck, he did his measurements and advised me that he'd get me an estimate with a rough sketch of the deck the following week. Almost two and a half weeks later, no estimate and no sketch. I've made numerous calls to his number and left multiple messages in regards to this information, I even sent in a contact request via their website with absolutely no response back even though they say they'd get back to you within 24-72 hours. I think it's highly unprofessional to tell someone that you'll do something for them and not follow through with it. The communication has been extremely poor with absolutely no follow up. I wouldn't recommend this company as they'll waste your time. On a side note, I did look at the reviews on this site and others when I made the decision to give them a call at the beginning and decided to give them a shot based on the reviews, but, those reviews were from a while back and I haven't seen anything since then, so I'm not sure if something has happened from then until now. At this point though, I wouldn't recommend them.

The job was done competently and professionally. The cost was less than expected. The wait to get it done was longer than hoped for, but the owner is very busy.

Mike did a great job. He was punctual, professional and conscientious. Going over the top in service, he met delivery of supplies in a blizzard and cleaned his work area daily. I would use Mike again and can recommend his services without hesitation.

Mike (Barnhart) responded promptly to our call and completed the work efficiently although he was very busy with other jobs. Mike has done several jobs for us over the past few years (see above). We have always been very pleased and satisfied with his work and recommend him highly.

An excellent craftsman, Mike the owner of Alpine Custom Carpentry was professional, competitive and completed our beautiful deck with attention to detail while staying within the sgreed budget. Mike and his crew are a pleasure to wotk with and we have been so pleased that we have hired Mike to finish several other projects. He is always on the job site and does much of the work himself. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality.

Alpine's owner, Mike, was consistently very prompt, communicative, and professional, as well as very attentive to details. He carefully assessed the problems I was trying to fix and came up with a great plan for a new pergola and deck. His plan sailed through approval by the HOA's review committee. They started work a few days after HOA approval and stuck with the project until it was finished. Mike and his colleague, Jim, clearly do not cut corners. This pergola is both beautifully designed and likely to be the last thing standing after a category 5 tornado. In addition to the top notch job with the pergola and deck, Mike went above and beyond what anyone would expect; he arranged the successful rescue of a wild colony of honey bees that had taken up residence in the old pergola that needed demolished. I give Alpine the strongest recommendation possible.

We spent around $15000 for the job. It has been significant. The quality of work is outstanding. It's a gorgeous deck. There was ease in working with Mike. He went above and beyond in taking care of things that needed to be taken care of. He is easy to get along with and does outstanding work. The price was absolutely outstanding. We will use his services in the future too. Mike is absolutely outstanding and did quality work. He took care of things that I would have never thought of. So, we are thrilled.

The workmen arrived promptly each morning as scheduled and worked diligently each day. One glitch was encountered when attaching the deck to the house. It was brought to our immediate attention and a solution carried out the very next morning. It was a pleasure working with the crew. They cleaned up after themselves and left us with a sturdy, attractive deck to enjoy for many, many years.
