Packing appeared to go well, loading the truck didn't go so well, one of the men kept trying to get me to take the items in my vehicle? The original arrival date was pushed out nearly a week, the day before I started work, causing me to have to purchase a bed and other items to survive until my shipment arrived. When they arrived they bragged that they met the date? Then the guy moving the boxes into the house started putting them wherever he wanted. When unpacking the boxes I found 5 boxes in the bedroom which were HiFi or computer (Home office). three boxes in the kitchen which were Home Office, one box in Home Office which was garage. Worst of all I've gone through all boxes and the box the lead and I packed in the Master bedroom, with my toothbrush, shavers, shower head, etc.. is gone, not to mention $100 of lint rollers? I'm not very impressed for a class A moving company, the represent North American Moving Services!

Delivery window was 11/27-12/7. It was explained from the beginning, delivery was expected later in the window due to the holiday. You offered extra money to get the shipment there earlier. We did not accept the extra money and explained we didn't believe we could get your shipment there earlier. You were advised days before the load your driver was expected to deliver between 12/5-7. Your driver advised you to take items in your vehicle you needed to survive while staying at your brothers. Your driver delivered your shipment on Sunday, 12/6, the day before you started work for no overtime or no additional fees and within the agreed delivery window of 11/27-12/7. Wow - again - this service was for my elderly friend. I handled all of the coordination. Leon and his team are beyond amazing. The guys who showed up to pack were so kind, caring, and even funny. We spent several hours together - so I feel like I am qualified to say they are really nice people. I had a lot to coordinate - as we are VERY remote - and these folks were coming from hours away. The arrived ON TIME, were PROFESSIONAL, and treated us all with respect (including my little rug rats who were present for the big event)! We cannot say enough how much we appreciated everything - including the senior rate. Thank you for everything - and know that we are recommending you to everyone who will listen!!!!

The three movers (Caleb, Perry and Jim) arrived on time and reviewed what was to be moved. I had quite a few large heavy pieces. They quickly began work and helped me with a few other tasks, like putting the bike rack on my car and loading the bike. They worked straight thru the morning, and were done about noon. (My neighbor, happened to be moving the same day, and the movers seemed to be very disorganized and had furniture and boxes on the lawn! They dis not finish loading until nearly 5pm!) The movers were polite, conscientious and very careful with my furniture. The estimate was slightly more than I was finally charged. I'd have this team move me again-in fact they probably will, because this was a temporary move until my new home is ready.
Description of Work: The provider moved me from Westminster Colorado to Monument CO. After a negative review on Angie's list I was reluctant to use this mover. However after calling several on Angie's List this company was the only one to send out someone to access the and give me an estimate. All others just asked how many rooms I was moving. Rory made an appointment with me arrived on Time, walked thru the house with me checking on the size of the furniture to be moved and noted when there was a particular problem with a piece. He also noted that I lived at the very end of a street and a particular truck would be needed. He explained the insurance that was included and the options.

Moving Complaint (as of 6/27/12) Re: Worldwide Moving Systems LLC (dba Bekins Worldwide Moving), Longmont CO Aka TLC Moving and Storage Affiliated with North American Worldwide Moving Systems In July of 2007, I contracted with TLC Moving and Storage (now doing business as Worldwide Moving Systems) to pack, move and store most of my furniture and other valuables. The move took place on 8/16/07. The estimate shows that $50,000.00 of replacement value insurance was included in the price of the move and storage. The cost of that move was around $1885.00 plus tip. Most of the furniture remained in storage until this last move on May 2-3, 2012. Over the course of time, I paid them $14,344.50 in storage fees. I also had three interim moves where I used this company – in May 2007 and June 2008 where some of the furniture was removed from storage and other furniture moved from place to place (approx cost of $1250+); then on 10/27/11, most of that furniture was moved back into storage (cost of $780.00 plus tip). I paid $500.00 for an additional $100,000.00 worth of replacement value insurance with the 10/27/11 move (documented on invoice). Unfortunately, the insurance is held by Worldwide, not by me directly. I scheduled this last move on 4/5/12 via phone with a follow-up email confirmation (acknowledged by Worldwide personnel) and the move was set for May 2nd (note it was almost a month in advance). On May 1st at 3:57pm, I received a voicemail message that “there was a complication with my move”; I did not pick up the VM until after 5:00pm. I called at 7:00am on 5/2 and was told they were going to postpone my move until 5/4 - I said that was unacceptable as I had nowhere to stay. So they managed to bring some furniture on 5/2 and the rest on 5/3. That move cost me $1437.50 plus TWO tips (two crews). I also had to stay elsewhere the night of 5/2 at my cost. The 1st crew was obviously very inexperienced as they moved approx 1/3 of the items and took more than double the time as the crew on 5/3. The second crew was better, however in the end there was a lot of damage to the items delivered. Note that none of the furniture/items were identified as being damaged when they were removed from my home. We documented the damage as best we could while trying to communicate with crews who unfortunately did not speak very good English. Their procedure also required using numbers to identify damage that were not clearly explained to me. I made a follow-up call to discuss how the damage would be handled and was referred to their claims adjuster, Will Krail (sp?) – note that I never received a card from him nor a direct phone number. He came out on 5/16 and reviewed and took pictures of all the damage and told me that the owner wanted to pay for the damages directly and not to submit them to insurance; thus, no insurance claim was submitted. I talked with Gary Buccholz, the new owner of the company later that day and he assured me that he would take care of all my problems. At that time he admitted that he had a very large government move come in and that was why there were so many problems with my move. Unfortunately, my nephew was in a serious accident and was in the hospital from 6/4 – 6/9/12 so I had to cancel a follow-up appointment with Will on 6/6/12. Due to his significant injuries, my nephew required 24 hour care when he came home from the hospital, but when things calmed down, I called Worldwide on 6/18 and was told that Will was no longer with the company. I left messages for Gary Buccholz on 6/18, 6/19, 6/20, 6/21, 6/25 6/26 and 6/27 (so far). I talked to Royce (their operations manager) on 6/21 and he scheduled a furniture repair person to come on 6/25 – and this person never showed up. He was to have brought an insurance claim form for me to fill out; but since he never showed, I still do not have a claim form. I called Bekins on 6/26 (second time) and was told that they had no record of them being a franchisee, even though I have a check for storage refund (I was incorrectly charged for May storage) that shows Worldwide Moving Systems LLC, dba Bekins Worldwide Moving – so they may be fraudulently representing themselves. I have since Googled Worldwide and it also shows a North American affiliation, so I called their customer service number and verified that they are in fact affiliated with them. To date, only one damaged item has been repaired – the marble top to my coffee table which had chips/broken pieces on each corner. Some of the marble pieces were handed to me by the movers, so I know at least part of the damage happened in the move (as opposed to in storage). The repaired top was taken to the shop on 6/11 and re-delivered on 6/21/12; however, I am not sure if the workman has been paid or not. I have called quite often and left messages – none of which were returned. I finally got through to the owner, Gary Buccholz again on 6/21/12 and he assured me that he would personally review my file that evening and call me back first thing on 6/22/12 – and despite numerous calls, he still has not called me back. I called on 6/27/12 and left yet another message, and stated they had until the end of business to respond or I was going to submit complaints to various agencies and escalate it to my attorney. Bottom line, I have spent over $20,000.00 with this company – and cannot get resolution on the damage THEY CAUSED to my furniture. I also paid for $150,000.00 of replacement value insurance, and this should more than cover the damages.
