Welzig Heating and Air

The service provider was great. They contacted my promptly but they were unable to provide service until February 2014. My son is getting sick and we need our air vents cleaned now.

It was fine. There is an additional charge of 50$ because I had them also to clean my dryer. They're very pleasant to work with. They have to reschedule because of the flood.

They were very friendly and positive. Because of the scheduling issues I decided on getting a refund from Angie's List.

We were anxious to get our ducts cleaned because construction material is in the ducts and our grandsons with asthma are coming to visit 12/1. We called Welzig's to request an expedited schedule, but they unfortunately had no availability until 12/30. They took the extra time and effort to look day by day to try to find time to fit us in, but were unable to find any time for us. They told us that Angie's List would refund our money quickly and easily for us, and offered to help us find someone else to help us. Their front office help is indicative of a great business.

Are you kidding me? I called to make an appointment and was told the first appointment available was Dec. 30. When I told them the service required (duct cleaning) was as a result of flood damage and that the ducts may be contaminated there was no change in the date of availability. I had already bought the coupon so I made the appt. Then a neighbor recommended another provider that tries to better accommodate flood victims. This provider is also an Angie's List,. I called them and was able to get an appointment sooner than Welzig.

Welzig gave me an estimate on boiler replacement. For the boiler and installation I got 3 estimates (using the same brand and model of boiler); Welzig cost was almost 5000. more than the next highest bid. Their reply when I questioned them was that all companies charge differently. They might be great, but I will never know.

See above - 'what did the provider do'. The service was to include duct cleaning and complete HVAC service. I strongly recommend you not use this company. Extremely unprofessional!

Provider cleaned all vents. He used video to make sure he got everything. Process took about 2-1/2hours.

It was good. The person was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. I was hoping that they had a stronger machine, like the one that kind of goes on a truck but it was a little vacuum so I don't know that their machine would do as well as other companies do.

Prompt, professional, and did a great job. I will use them again.

I ordered the big deal. I was asked to give them 3 dates for service. They contacted me right away, looked good so far. They did not have those dates open and suggested 3 dates in November. I really wanted earlier dates, but thought okay I would schedule a date. The dates offered were 11/26,27 or 28. These are all right before and on Thanksgiving. Sounded kind of strange, but I picked the 27th, the day before Thanksgiving. I did note to them that they had included Thanksgiving and did they mean to do that. I haven't heard a word from them to confirm the date I picked. The whole thing was so unprofessional that I was afraid if I had a problem with the work they would be just as poor in communication with any problem I might have. Decided I didn't need the "deal" that bad. This has nothing to do with their work. They have a great rating, just my decision not to use them.

For the second time in a year, the service man from Welzig rushed through his service and REFUSED to put in the filter we had paid for as part of the contract. He also refused to look at the AC, claiming that he just didn't have time. He upset my father, who is BLIND, by refusing to listen to him. When I called and asked to speak to Mr. Welzig, I was told he was unavailable. My AC came from the Welzig company, and Mr. Welzig is very professional and easy to work with. The rest of his staff does not know how to provide quality service: they make excuses instead of making things right. If you would like to buy HVAC from Welzig, it is a good deal. However, the maintenance packages are not well managed, and the staff is not well focused or ready to serve the customer. It is very frustrating to call their office.

The actual gentleman who came to the house was very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. The scheduling of the actual visit took about 2-3 weeks from my initial phone call. I had told the schedular that we had unusual filters and offered to get the model number, however, she declined saying she would just be sure the technician had a variety of styles of filters on the truck. Unfortunately, when he arrived he told us that our furnaces filters must be special ordered. He could return to install them, but that would have been an additional service call fee. Unhappy in that I don't feel I received the full service that I requested, but the technician showed me how to install the filter myself. I'm sure if I order it online it will save me money in the long run, but still feel a bit resentful of the company itself. The technician is really where I'm giving the rating.

I purchased a coupon off of Angie's list for a duct cleaning in the house that we had just purchased. They weren't going to be able to fit us in for about a month, but they were able to call and fit us in much earlier due to a cancellation. The technician was very friendly with everything was performed as anticipated. I would hire Welzig again.

I was told they do not service my area even though the deal was offered in my area.

My old gas furnace and central air needed immediate replacement. Since Welzig Heating and Air had previously tuned up my system, I called and Casey Welzig came out the next day. He provided me with detailed information and pricing on 4 furnaces and 4 air conditioners, carefully explaining the pros and cons of each one. After our discussion, I chose the furnace and air conditioner which best met my needs. That same day, Juan and his assistant came and dismantled my old system. Installation was completed the next day, a relief considering the August heat. I was extremely pleased with the results. Juan was knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. The difference between my previous system and the new one is noticeable, especially the significant noise reduction. I highly recommend Welzig. Based on my experience,my daughter, who lives around the corner, will be using them when her system needs replacing.

It was excellent. They were on time and they've done their job. I had a problem with the air conditioner but it wasn't anything drastic so it was fine. I had a very good experience, people on board were very highly skilled technicians.

Tim was very polite and professional, and I enjoyed talking with him. He showed me what he was doing, got along great with my dog, and went about his business so I could take care of mine. He was here at the same time as a co-worker who was doing an A/C tuneup, and they were very respectful of each other, too. A+ guys!

Chris was awesome. The maintenance he did on the A/C made immediate and noticeable improvements to our A/C efficiency and cooling. He even took the paint off the outdoor unit that was blocking airflow on the fins, which made it run cooler and also MUCH quieter. He explained all the tests he was doing (inside & outside the house) and their results, gave great recommendations for us to budget / plan, and was a good conversationalist. I will definitely call Welzig and ask for Chris next year once again!

We've relied on Welzig a few times. They are so helpful and very professional. They don't "gouge" us (even on weekend/after-hours jobs), and the service is great.

It went great! The service guy was very professional. He spent about 4 hours vacuuming the ducts. It was a bit noisy but soooo worth it. I felt like he was really getting all the dirt.

I noticed they had not installed a new filter since October. When I called on this regard, they yelled at me and I decided to quit their maintenance program. The owner even called me and was very rough with me on the phone and even threatened me. I will not be doing business with them ever again.

My experience with Welzig Heating and Air was good. It was all very good.
