I had two stubborn elm stumps that despite trimming and spraying McGuckins toughest brush killer, thrived, duplicaing each time like the multi-headed Hydra in Greek mythology. I called both a big contractor and a specialist in stump grinding. Both looked at the job, gave me an estimate and said they would get back with me. Neither did, nor did they return my phone calls, not even to say they couldn't or wouldn't do the job. Admittedly it was challenging, a short steep hill and the stumps were located behind a chain link fence in an easement. The fence would have to be cut and there was the issue of how to get the stump grinder up the hill without overturning. Stumpnut to the rescue! He rose to the challenge and using a system of ropes was able to get his machine to the top of the hill without overturning it, cut through the chain link, left the upper rail intact, and voila! Stumps gone. He also removed dead trees from my two rentals and trimmed the rest. To my delight, Joshua either answered my calls immediately or called back soon after, began the job as soon as weather permitted, his prices were competitive, he knows his trees, his work was spot on, and he was a pleasant to work with. Joshua was able to do the work the same day he provided an estimate. He was efficient, took care of the job promptly, and cleaned up afterwards so there was no evidence that the stumps were there before. Based on other estimates, his pricing was very good.
