Was very disappointed with the overall quality of work. The fence posts were in a straight line, but we're not leveled properly. Some of the posts had a significant lean in one direction or another. About a week later he came back to add the fence walls. To our disappoinment there was only one gate. Not the 2 gates we had previously agreed to. At our request, he begrudgingly replaced the wall with a gate. But he didn't replace the posts so the have cutouts exposed where the top and bottom rails for the wall would go. The gate was also put together with scrap parts that were obviously used and very worn. All of the slats had significant gaps which he fixed by just setting the slats next to each other instead of sliding the tongue into the groove. He hasn't been back to fix the gate which says so much it is unusable and won't return any calls or texts. Don't pay for the second half until the job is complete, and be sure to get everything in writing and signed. I wish I had!

They did a good job and the soil they delivered was top quality. My only issue was that they quoted me a price, then as they were on their way to deliver, they called and asked for an additional $50.00 for the delivery. That should have been in the original quote.

6/12/2019: Concrete Patios, Walks & Steps- Install They mixed and poured a 7*7 concrete patio for us. They left the wood on the sides for us to remove. When we removed the wood, the entire side all the way around the concrete was honeycombed, the edges were cracking off, and a quarter of the concrete sounds hollow when you tap on it. We called Jorge to complain about the issue and to have him fix it, but he refused to do so. We have to replace the entire pad! Quoted 4 zones, installed 2 zones. Mad when only paid for 2 zones and proceeded to say he should have installed 2 ghost zones, so we would pay him the extra, then stormed off and never came back to finish work! Fast forward a few months after sod and sprinkler install, and grass is dying near sprinkler heads and over watering along the side of our house significantly. Our sprinklers stopped working for a day as well. We uncovered the electrical work he performed to link into our front yard was just looped and duck-taped together. The connection were not there, so we had to re wire that connection and place into a waterproof junction box ourselves. We have had to troubleshoot this ourselves because of poor customer service, and I am guessing a lack of insurance on segovias end. We are very upset with this company as all they seemed to do was try to perform the work cheaply, deceptively, and pass it off as quality, and when issues arise, leave you high and dry.

I appreciated the communication and working with Jose, his father Juan and Grandfather. They do great work and do not inflate charges to astronomical levels. I have recommended them to my friends and will use them again if I have the need.

The Segovia team was prompt, professional, and delivered a great product for the price they agreed to. Of the three bids I received, they were also the lowest price bid.

Juan started to check my sprinkler valve right away when he arrived. He told us he will be back the second day to fix things up and he did show up and get the work done. His charge is also fair. I am looking forward to working with him on another landscaping project. Definitely deserves to work with.

Juan was referred to me by a customer of mine who said he did excellent work at an affordable price. He was on time, gave us a quote and was back a couple of days later to do the install. He was a pleasure to work with, did what he said he would do, did it quickly and very affordably. I own a roofing company and when my customers ask for a landscaper and fence repair guy, I give them Juans info.

First they came for a free estimate on my sprinkler clock. They came back when my sprinkler was still not working right. They reset the timer. They also helped unclog my kitchen sink, which happened to be clogged up at the same time. I paid them for this extra work, as it was not initially why I asked them to come.

We are really glad we hired Juan Segovia. We received quotes from 4 companies for a 13x20 patio. Segovia's quote was in the bottom half, and he said he could start in the morning and complete the patio in 3 days, which he delivered on. I had a few questions based on a few negative reviews of Segovia, so here's what I learned: Communication: Juan, the owner, who works incredibly hard and precisely, is not a native english speaker and while he has enough english to get by, I could see how this could be difficult for the client. HOWEVER, his son, Jose works very closely with Juan and speaks perfect english and WILL COMMUNICATE PROMPTLY VIA E-MAIL. He is the only landscaper who returned any of my calls or e-mails same day. Having everything in writing made me feel more confidant to hire them. Estimate $: Jose came out for an initial estimate and gave me a ballpark figure, but I wanted to speak with Juan before work began, as I had read a review saying that their actual price was WAY over the estimate. Jose and Juan came out within a day or two and were able to detail exactly what we would be paying for what. Once work started, they ended up needing several tons more dirt than they initially expected (our yard is very sloped). Also, we asked Juan to make a small change to the width of steps, which required more material. I was aware the price was going up, and in the end we were charged about $400 more than the initial estimate. I think that was very reasonable and felt informed throughout the process. Is Segovia's a large, well established company? No. Is Juan going to whip out his iPad and generate a 3D rendering of your future backyard? No. This is a small, family owned company who will get the job done. We paid a reasonable price for a patio delivered on time and within our budget. We are happy we hired Segovia.

He was very nice and was able to come faster than expected. He did a great job.

Juan did a great job and completed the job quickly. Communication wasn't great and he wasn't on time for our meetings, but overall I'm happy with the work he did with general landscape clean up and delivering and replacing mulch throughout the yard.

Insist on a WRITTEN quote, BEFORE any work begins! (regardless how low the estimate is.) Ignored 2 requests for written quote. Removed and replaced concrete driveway. Two and a half weeks, then over-charged 1300.00.

Segovia's came out and assessed the sprinkler system. They said they just needed to replace the wiring system outside, as well as some of the sprinkler heads that had popped out, and needed to repair a couple of leaks. They were also to add some drip systems. Now, only two of the zones will turn on, and when they do they won't turn off, even after the cycle is complete. The other two zones either spurt out fountains of water from the drip zones, or don't drip at all. And the leaks weren't fixed. I tried to call them about 20 times in two weeks, and no one ever picked up or returned my messages. I don't recommend working with this company.
