Greg came out and gave me a quote for painting my living room. After getting the cost I decided to have him do the job and we set an approximate date he would start, all I had to do was call him the next day with the color of paint I had decided on. Greg does the work himself, no dealing with whoever might show up to do the job. He is personable, easy to talk to and seems like a good guy. He was there when he said he would be, was professional and didn't waste any time. He is a painting machine and does excellent work, even my mother said he did "a wonderful job" which is saying something. Next paint job I have is his, and I will recommend him to my friends

Greg's quality of work is, as usual, outstanding. He installed, prepped, and painted the baseboard in our entire house (with the exception of two rooms). His attention to detail is second to none. He is the hardest working contractor that we have ever dealt with, and we have deal with many. He puts in 9-10 hr days with very few breaks. He gets the job done quickly and professionally. He gave us a quote estimating 4 days of work and when he was finished in only three days he lowered his bid by about 10%. Greg is very fair and has a solid work ethic. We highly recommend him for any home remodeling needs you may have. He will not disappoint.

Greg is very professional. We had a house guest while he was doing the work, so we weren't sure of our schedule. Greg sent a text giving us the time he would be here. He came in, did the work and left. I forgot he was here. He is so professional and quiet. Every time he has been in our home, he is respectful and dedicated to his work. His work is amazing, but so is he.

If I could give Greg a higher grade that "A", I definitely would do it. We are prepping our home for sale. I called Greg to discuss the project and he showed up on time to provide an estimate. Essentially, we started with a list of items, but once he started work the list grew and he accommodated us by completing everything that was needed, including a few surprise items that popped up. Greg works extremely efficiently, yet is willing to put in very long days to get the job done correctly. On several occasions, we discussed various approaches to handling issues, and he always understood the tradeoffs and was able to advise regarding the preferred approach. The fact that he generally quotes a fixed price means that you don't have to worry about him padding the hours. Furthermore, we never felt that we had to monitor his activities, as he just took care of things. Essentially everything that Greg did was done in a timely, careful manner. And, he has assured us that he'll be available for any more handyman items as we continue to prepare for the sale. Bottom line: If you want a "fire and forget" kind of handyman, we strongly suggest that you consider Greg Lynch.

Overall it was a great experience. We wanted to enclose an office/sitting room that had an arched entry off of the main hallway, but thought a wall would make the hallway feel too boxed in. We decided to put in French doors to enclose the room. We had several handymen bid on the project, and decided on Greg for several reasons. Greg responded immediately to phone calls and emails, his bid was right in the middle of the other bids, and his overall professionalism impressed us. Greg started the work on schedule, worked hard for three days, and completed the job on time. He was pleasant to have in the house, worked neatly and quietly, and stayed focused on the task. The quality of the work was excellent and Greg's attention to detail makes the new door looks better than the arch ever did. The door blends in as though it has always been there. We hope to have Greg do more work on our house. We would definitely recommend him based on our experience.

WOW! There isn't enough room on this page to tell you how wonderful Greg is as a painter and a person. I am new to Angie's List and he is the first person I have hired through this service. When he stopped by to give me the estimate, he left me his professional bag with every color sample imaginable from which I could choose. Once the colors were chosen and the contract signed, he started to work! He was very professional and CLEAN. He even vacuumed my carpet before he started working on the trim. I have two large German Shepherds who shed a lot! I had chosen an accent wall of a different color. After he had painted the wall, he called me in to show it to me. I decided that I didn't want that look and he repainted it to match the other walls and didn't charge me more or complain. He smiled, said he agreed and went back to work!! I decided to have my cabinets painted in the bathroom and he did that too. He was so accommodating. He worked extremely hard and took a lunch break in the afternoon and just sat on his truck. I offered to make him lunch, but he was happy to take care of himself. Besides cleaning up everyday and being easy to be around, he is an amazing painter. Every line is perfect and he was able to cover some deep holes in the wall without a trace that they were there. I wish I could paint like he does.....well, now I won't ever have to paint again! I had purchased a new chandelier for my entryway and a new ceiling fan for the family room. I asked if he would be able to hang them for me. I assumed he had a ladder that tall! He came back on another day and said that he could hang the lights for me. Well, he spent the afternoon with us. He opened the boxes, read all of the instructions and hung them beautifully. I am thrilled to finally have them up. My daughter was home from college and we were baking in the kitchen. He let us visit without interrupting us and did a great job hanging both very tall fixtures. He will be the only painter that I hire from now on. Thanks Angie for having Greg on your list!

Greg went above and beyond my best expectations. He helped me pick colors and completed the job flawlessly...well worth the price! Above that, he is friendly, personable, professional and punctual!

We soon realized that in the three nine-hour days Greg put in, he did much more than just painting. During the first day he painstakingly prepped and caulked every surface, filled every nailhole, and sanded everything to a perfectly smooth finish. The other two days were spent priming, sanding, painting, and then touching up the final job. The results are amazing. We have dealt with several contractors over the years and Greg was the best one in terms of quality and attention to detail. It is truly rare to find someone with such a strong work ethic and pride in doing their job right, especially when it comes to painting services where there are several "weekend warriors" eager to make a quick buck and provide shoddy quality of work, or subcontract the actual painting to individuals that can barely speak English (been there done that for the exterior painting of our house). Rest assured that you can't go wrong with hiring Greg for all your remodeling needs. He does much more than just painting and because we feel confident that his attention to detail and quality work will be the same for more substantial job, we will not hesitate to hire him in the future for our basement remodeling project.

Due to tree roots, I had a sewer line backup and overflow my downstairs shower/bathroom/laundry room and one wall of the family room. I called a plumber and my insurance agent - who sent a team over to clean up, remove wet carpet/drywall, disinfect and dry out the rooms to prevent further damage. Everybody was great and did a thorough job, but the process took 4 days and tore up my house! I had: - 15" gaps of missing drywall and baseboards in three rooms, - a disconnected bathroom vanity & toilet (which had to be removed for the repairs), - four different paint colors to be matched or replaced. Also: -three areas of drywall in the room that had been poorly patched when someone took out a wall previously; -several burnt out lightbulbs that were too high for me to replace; and -an exterior door from a different situation that had been knocked out of its frame and needed to be fixed. The stress was getting to me, so I called Greg because his previous reviews on Angie's List said he was super-fast and multi-talented. I was not disappointed! Greg offered to come over that night (Tues.) to give me an estimate. He showed up within 45 minutes, and immediately noticed and commented on a custom stair railing in our house made by a local artist. I showed him the damaged area (and the next, and the next)...its sometimes awkward when there is so much but Greg took it all in stride. He took some measurements and made some notes, then started "thinking out loud" - making a supply list and giving me options. It was like watching someone who is really good at the game of Tetris play ("this piece of baseboard goes here, this piece is missing; the vanity goes back here, this tile needs to be replaced; where is that baseboard?; that can be done on Friday, that can be done on Tuesday; those are nails, not screws...they need to be screws to hold it in place; you want that light bulb replaced?..." etc.) Then he took his notes, gave me a verbal estimate, and said he would email with a firm estimate (which he did later that evening.) He worked within my budget and was exactly on target for the insurance estimate. I was indecisive about whether I wanted to touch-up using the paint colors we already had, or repaint the whole room with new colors. Initially I just wanted to get the whole thing put back together and forget about it, but the appreciation Greg showed for things like the stair rail and other details of the house made me see the house with new eyes again. I went to a home improvement store to get the light bulbs and tile and got inspired. When Greg came to start work on Friday he brought paint samples, and let me think about it over the weekend, which I appreciated. By 5 o'clock that day he had finished ALL the drywalling, replaced all the missing baseboard, and painted all three rooms once. It was AMAZING! My jaw literally dropped open. With the repaired drywall and the extra fixes the room looked so much better than it ever had before. He then replaced the light bulbs I couldn't reach, let me know when he'd be back Tuesday and what projects he'd be doing, and left for the weekend. On Tuesday he came back and reinstalled the vanity and toilet; fixed the tile on the backsplash; painted a second coat; fixed the door and frame leading to the garage and puttied the screw holes, then repainted the frame; and checked to see if I was satisfied and if there was anything else that needed to be done before I paid him and he left. I would recommend Greg Lynch's work to anyone. He is friendly. He works fast, and quietly and cleanly - no dust, no trash, no scraps. He brings what he needs to do the project with him and stays on site until the work is done. He seems to know how to do about any project. He is exactly on target for cost and materials. He notices the small details and seems to really love all aspects of home design and improvement. He will make you love your house again!

Greg was thorough, paid attention to details and gave us some good advice. He was amazingly clean, covered furniture and floors, the house looked impeccable when he finished his work. His work was beautiful and his pricing was very reasonable. We will definitely use Greg again. He did a wonderful job.

Greg did an extremely thorough job, installing, taping, painting and texturing the new ceiling and it looks marvelous. The painting, likewise, was well done and took years off the appearance of the house. We ended up not purchasing a new sink, because it turned out to be too complicated for me to get my heart into, but Greg went both online and to Home Depot to try to locate one in the weird size I needed. He also painted the vanity around the sink a slightly different color than it had been, minimizing the (dis)color of the sink. Greg is professional and thorough and terrifically up front about everything. He doesn't mess around, he doesn't talk too much, yet is happy to explain things. He rechecked details with me several times, which I appreciated. He was always there when he said he would be and the job did not run over budget. I will be very glad to hire him again.

We called Greg and made an appointment for an estimate. We scheduled a time for repair. Greg showed up on time and he worked quickly. Greg did an excellent job on the repair. The repair is complete and there is no sign of the previous damage. The repair ended up being significantly less than the original estimate. We will definitely use Lynch Home Services again.

Greg was responsive,;professional; polite; energetic; tidy; efficient; careful and caring. He was worth every penny I paid him and more. He called back promptly when I left a message; came to see the what the work consisted of at his earliest convenience; called me back as soon as he had a date free to give me; called me the day before to check and confirm all the details; arrived on time and gave me every ounce of his attention and expertise while he was working. He was respectful of my property; respectful of my idiosyncratic requests; checked with me every step along the way when decisions were required. In all it was a pleasure to have him in my home doing his work so effectively and so well. In one day he turned my new residence into my home. Greg is a treasure.

Greg showed up on time and did a first rate job. He's a skilled painter with an artist's sense of color and decor. His attention to detail is incredible. He's well organized and will complete the job in a timely manner. I highly recommend him, and will choose his services for my next home improvement.

I couldn't be happier with the results and the experience was great. He was prompt, checked in with me frequently, was consultative and was considerate of the space (cleaned up his stuff when he left over the weekend, etc...). The quality of his work is excellent, he was great to work with and I would use him again for any future interior painting needs.

Greg did a wonderful job, and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. Not only was his painting job wonderful, but he was a wonderful communicater and helped us pick out our paint colors. He contacted me to schedule an estimate. He was able to provide an estimate in a timely manner. His schedule was very busy but was able to schedule the work in the agreed upon timeframe. He provided and applied samples and gave me his recommendation. He started the work the next day and completed it on the same day.

Greg came to our house to give us an estimate. He was prompt and professional with the estimate. He than came to the house 2 other times to confirm exactly what we wanted painted and which colors we had chosen for each room. Since he prefers to use Benjamin Moore paint and ours colors had been chosen using Sherwin-Williams colors, he matched the colors exactly with the BM paint. He did a beautiful job with the painting and was extremely neat. When the job was finished, his charges were exactly what his estimate had been, even though extra time was spent matching the paint colors. Greg is a delightful person to work with. We plan to finish painting the remainder of the interior of our house in a few months and will definitely ask for his services again. He was understanding of our choice to paint only one-half of the house at a time and has gladly worked within the time frame that is most convenient for us. Less than a month before moving into my new home, I realized that I wasn't going to have the bandwidth to repaint substantially all of the interior as I had hoped to do. I found Greg on Angie's List and called, fully expecting I would be out of luck in getting a quality contractor scheduled to do the work on such short notice. Greg called me back promptly and worked with me to schedule time to get my work done between other previously scheduled jobs. He came to the house to provide an estimate within 48 hours and was hard at work the following week. Greg is prompt, professional, personable and does terrific work. He has a great color/design sense, and was very helpful in the process of choosing colors and paint finishes. When he realized I needed additional assistance in hanging some new lights in high/awkward spaces, he jumped on it. The man is multi-talented. Further, he was patient enough to work around another contractor (electrician) whom I had to schedule last minute during some of the same times Greg was working. He went above and beyond by doing some "on the spot" drywall repair/retexturing related to installation of a ceiling fan by the other contractor. I heartily recommend Greg and his work. I plan to hire him again in future.
