Response from Lynch Home Services
First, I would like to thank [Member Name Removed] for taking the time to write me a review. My objective is to ensure quality work and 100% customer satisfaction in all that I do; to not only meet but exceed my customers’ expectations. I take extreme pride in every aspect of my work and was very disappointed to see such low grades from [Member Name Removed] on a job that I had done 6 months ago. Once I reviewed the customer comments, I immediately called [Member Name Removed] with concern and questions as to what she meant by “the work had to be redone” and most importantly, “why didn’t she call me” when she immediately felt that additional attention was required? Job Assignment: Remove 30 year old over the range microwave and install a new one to work with the 30 year old existing ventilation system (duct work) in the cabinet. Without completely cutting out some of the cabinet in order to make the new transition fit with the existing duct work, I went to Home Depot and got the parts needed to fit the bend so it all hooked up nicely & securely taped everything. I spent about 4 hours in the kitchen trying to make this work for her and I charged her a lot less than what Lowe's or most companies would've charged her. I finally got everything in-line and the duct connection taped securely in a very small cabinet space. The microwave certainly worked fine & she was happy with everything when I finished. I charged her only $150 for the work I had done because I wanted to help [Member Name Removed] out. I'm the kind of person who finds it difficult to say no when I see something is needed and I knew the duct work might be a challenge. After seeing this review of course I immediately called [Member Name Removed] and asked her "what happened, what was the problem, why didn't you call me? Why did my work have to be redone"? "Well”, she said, "the new microwave you installed is fine and that didn't have to be redone but I had to have the duct work redone or adjusted a bit". I said, "so my work did not have to be "redone" as you said in the review...but you needed someone to come in and adjust some of the duct work in the cabinet, nothing had to be redone, just adjusted?” She said, “Yes”. Again, my first question when speaking to [Member Name Removed] was "WHY didn't you call me after realizing that it wasn't venting properly?" I asked how much she paid for this repair & she said about $40...I would gladly have paid the $40 to make this work properly. I had NO idea this was not working out as she had planned. I was extremely disappointed that I was not immediately contacted once [Member Name Removed] identified that some adjustments needed to be made. I stand firmly by my work and my main goal at all times is to ensure the happiness and satisfaction of my customers. I am NOT the kind of contractor that gets paid and you never hear from me again; call me, if I can't fix what you paid me to do than I WILL take care of it, whatever it takes. I deliver quality work coupled with professionalism & an impeccable work ethic driven by achieving 100% customer satisfaction.
