Staff mentioned repeatedly that most of the remnant granite was $25-30 per square foot, but that some of the granite is special and would cost more. At each piece that we looked at, we would ask if it was in the $25-30 range. They had a large selection of remnants and we did find something that we liked. At no time did the staff member state that what we were looking at would be more than $25-30 per square foot. When our contractor got the estimate on Monday, the cost per square foot for the material was over $40. Had we known that the granite was more expensive, we would have chosen something else. There was no call from Colorado Granite telling us that what we picked out was more expensive and no suggestion of something similar, but less costly. We felt like they didn't spend the time to understand our requirements and had wasted our time, so we took our business elsewhere. We found another supplier nearby that had a beautiful granite remnant in our price range.

They arrived an hour and a half late but did get it finished in one day. They were very good about matching the seams, etc. and keeping dirt, etc. to a minimum. The only bad thing was at the end the head installer started telling me how hard this was (fishing for a tip) because the measurement was 3/8 of an inch off - I told him to complain to his boss who did the laser measurement. I'm pleased with the work, you can't see the seams.

I HAVE USED COLORADO STONE COMPANY MANY TIMES. ALL OF THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS HELPFUL IN MY SELECTION OF MATERIALS. THIS COMPANY IS AN ASSET TO THE CITY.
