Description of Work: Furnace check up for funny noise The young knowledgeable owner came out. Identified and fixed the problem and gave me a 12 month guarantee if anything went wrong to call-even on Christmas Day! Also, have me some free maintenance advice. Nice, professional and personable. I hope they are still in business. I didn't see any Angie's List activity for them.

 + -1 moreHe arrived at the scheduled time of 9 AM. It took about 5 hours to do the work with about an hour of setup and an hour of cleanup. Air ducts had never been cleaned since I have lived in house for 33 years and house is 48 years old. I have a Golden Retriever so I expected the return ducts to have a lot of hair. The return ducts were loaded with dog hair and almost plugged. The AC evaporator coil had about a 1/4 inch of lint on the fins. He thoughly cleaned all of the ducts and the furnace and AC equipment and the electronic air cleaner. Once completed he started and tested the heat and AC and the air flow was greatly improved and the HVAC system runs much better and the air quality is much improved. He did a outstanding job cleaning the ducts and cleaning up when he was done.
Description of Work: Cleaned 14 air ducts and 2 return vents and main plenums plus cleaned furnace and AC evaporator coil and AC condenser coil outside. Outside cleaning was with my garden hose.

 + -1 moreThe whole process took about 4.5 hours to complete (we have 13 in/out-take registers that needed to be cleaned). I felt they did a very thorough job and inspected our entire system for problems which I had not anticipated. They were not hesitant about answering any questions and helped explain what was necessary to maintain our entire unit. Immediately, I noticed a difference in our air quality. As an allergy sufferer, I have been able to sleep easier at night and have not woke up with any headaches or a stuffy nose since the cleaning has been done. I wish I would have had them clean our air ducts long before now.
Description of Work: Lucky Ducts came out and cleaned our air ducts, air conditioning unit and furnace. They tested everything to make sure it was working properly.

He was great to work with and offered the duct cleaning for free as part of the furnace/water heater package. He was thorough in his work and pulled a huge amount of debris from the ducts . . . and he was so pleasant to deal with. A positive experience across the board!

 + -1 moreSpent 5.5 hours total answering questions cleaning the ducts, furnace and outside A/C compressor radiator intakes Very friendly, courteous and professional. Cleaned about 18 registers and returns for a 3 level house with basement. Spent about 45 minutes making sure the blower fan was cleaned thoroughly.
Description of Work: Attached Vacuum to Furnace to suck out the dust and grime, used compressed air driven brush to loosen caked dust in ducts and returns. Pulled out the blower fan and motor and clean all of the caked dirt and grime and worked on it till it was like new awesome job! Explained how our humidifier works and suggested how to keep the mold out and the air moist during the dry months

 + -1 moreWe are very pleased with the job that Lucky Duct did on cleaning our ducts. The guy cleaned 13 ducts and checked out the heating and AC system. He performed the job by himself, and we have a 1390 sq. ft. townhouse, so it took 4 hours. The guy was very thorough in his work and explaining what he saw and did, as well as how to take care of the filters. We used the coupon from Angie's list, which really helped as far as cost. Overall, we are satisfied with Lucky Duct and will use them again in the future. Thank you!

 + 0 moreI called one day for a dryer vent to be cleaned. Lucky Duct came out the next day. Two weeks prior to my basement being finished, I scheduled them out again to do a whole-house air vent cleaning. No problems or issues with any of the services provided.
Description of Work: Lucky Duct came out to clean my dryer vent and my air ducts. I have two furnaces, one of which was absolutely nasty from having our basement finished - drywall dust all over it. The downstairs furnace was cleaned incredibly well, and I've noticed a big decrease in the amount of dust in my home. I wouldn't get in my attic to see the upstairs furnace, but I'm sure they did an excellent job there, too!

 + 0 moreAfter calling at least 4 other companies, I chose Lucky Ducts not only because they were so helpful & knowledgeable on the phone, but because of their personal service (owner did not hesitate to come out to my home to give a free estimate, unlike most other companies) & quoted a competitive price. These guys were very professional and friendly and did a very thorough job! I've had my ducts cleaned 2 other times in a previous home and these guys were by far the BEST! If you have moved into a new home, you definitely need to have your air ducts cleaned. We had a thick layer of drywall/construction dust covering the fan of our new furnace...thank goodness these guys cleaned the fan and all around the area of our furnace--wiping everything down thoroughly. We even had a clogged P-trap and water was leaking from the AC pipes and they helped me understand why and blew out the build up that caused the water problem! They spent about 4-5 hours and even took time to show me how to keep the outside AC unit clean. Thank you Lucky Ducts! We DID notice a difference in our air quality! With other companies, I never noticed a big difference...which tells me that our ducts were very dirty and that they did a great job! :)

 + -1 moreThe cleaner came 10 minutes ahead of schedule and took 4.5 hours to clean every duct, the furnace, and the air conditioner. He took his time but was able to get everything clean showing us the before and afters. He was polite and was able to diagnose some problems while he was present. He worked hard without supervision and only took payment at the end. The cleaning was great and the house has had better air quality since Lucky Duct was here.

 + 0 moreI respect this company's operators and they provided a good, honest and thorough service. If you haven't had your vents cleaned in a while or your furnace tuned, give them a call. They were responsive on the phone, on-time for their appointment and easy to work with. They also provided me an Angie's List discount.
Description of Work: Full house heating vent/duct cleaning. 12 vents plus the return. 1955 ranch-style house. Also a furnace tuning. Lucky Duct did a very detailed cleaning of my vents, which apparently had never been cleaned before. They cleaned both from within the furnace and from each vent and return. A team of two and a very powerful truck-based vacuum spent about 4 hours working on my home. The employees wore shoe covering and covered my stairs to help keep dirt from getting tracked around. The vent plates were all removed with care, even though some were painted on. Each vent was cleaned by both blowing into it and a rotating brush from within the vent system (pushed in from the furnace itself). The entire furnace system had air drawn through it during the cleaning from the trucl-based system. My vents were so dirty the literally pulled construction debris from the original 1955 hardwood flooring inside the return! Cat hair, etc was in there too, and I don't own a pet. Included in the price was a furnace tune. They took out the fan and cleaned it and touched up some other pieces. They also cleaned the sensors and checked my igniter. As a bit of extra customer service they went over all the furnace parts with me. Turns out that the furnace tuning I had a few years ago I got ripped off! That company suggested replacing the igniter and well over-charged me for the part. This company showed me the part (which I saved for a back-up) was actually in fine condition and had not needed to be replaced, even a little bit.

 + 0 moreI found Lucky Ducts (LD) online, and I was impressed by their thorough website. Likewise, the initial call was a very detailed encounter, which provided an accurate expectation of the process. Additionally, because we had replaced all of the floor vents, LD agreed to include cleaning of central air unit. It is probably unfair to downgrade price, which was likely due to the rather convoluted setup we inherited, but the price was in line with the oral estimate. Price seemed to be based upon number of vents, which would seem to be good indicator of the number of ducts. The only thing promised, but not delivered was the courtesy call to give a half-hour warning, but since they came within the estimated time period, this wasn't a problem. Also gave good advice about purchasing furnace filters (knockoffs of 3M just as good but less expensive).

 + 0 moreLove these guys! When we called on Saturday morning we talked with the owner who informed us that he was backed up with work and could not make it out there for a couple of hours. He was concerned with what we would do without heat for those couple of hours while we waited - which I thought was pretty cool. He informed us on the phone that a $50 diagnostic fee would be applied for having them show up. The owner himself came and did the work. He showed us how to change the ignition switch ourselves (as they apparently break often) and even informed us to buy them online as that is the cheapest way. He said to stock up. I thought it was great that he took the time to show us how to fix this ourselves. I will absolutely use these guys again!
Description of Work: Our furnace went out in the middle of a Friday night in December. The ignition switch would not light when we looked at it ourselves. We contacted Lucky Ducts on Saturday morning to have them come and fix it.
