 + 0 moreI absolutely love this company! When Brian had an earlier appointment open up, he called to see if I wanted to schedule it. They arrived on time and proceeded to install one fan. I bought a second fan earlier that week, but figured it was too late to schedule time to install that fan as well. However, when I asked Brian if he would install it for me since he was already at my house, he said he could do that as well. I also have plans to upgrade and remodel my garage so I had a few questions about that. Brian did not hesitate to take the time to check out my garage and give me an overall estimate of how much the project would cost and what my options were. The guys at Sundog Electric are very friendly and perform high quality work. Any time I need any type of electrical work done, these are my go-to guys.

They were in and out within an hour and very professional about doing the work. Price seemed very reasonable. They told me they were busy of late and were booked about four weeks out, as they had been when I had first called Brian. This was not a problem for me as it was not an emergency type of repair, and I had plenty of time.

 + 0 moreThey arrived on time and we went over the details of the work I wanted completed. They did not bring the right wiring or tools to set up the electrical for the family room television which was part of the original scope of work. The light fixture was installed and works beautifully, however, there were finger prints left all over it at the ceiling level and below. I was at home when the work began, but not when it was finished. The light fixture was very complex and they did a good job getting it installed. The makeup of the light is unusual and I was concerned at first that it was not installed correctly. Brian called back right away to confirm that they had followed all the instructions. Brian did take the time on-site to explain that moving the switch plate would require cutting out several sections of drywall and their was a chance that after all the demo, it would be impossible to move. So, I decided not to have that work completed.
Description of Work: I contacted Brian well ahead of time to schedule a light install, check whether or not outlets were working, moving switch plate and installing electrical and wiring so a flat screen television could be attached to the wall. Brian and another worker checked all the outlets and installed a complex kitchen light fixture.

 + 1 moreThey showed up on time, and we discussed the options I had. This is an old house, and there are issues with upgrading things to newer standards. One of the things I appreciated the MOST was that Brian explained my options, very clearly, and did not push expensive, unnecessary upgrades on me, like I have experienced in the past. It was really refreshing to just have a conversation about the options, and let me decide. Brian and his helper then did all of the work, cleaned up and it looks great! I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them, and will definitely use them again for future work.
Description of Work: Replaced several light fixtures, evaluated electrical situation in my upstairs bathroom and made recommendations, corrected problems on the house inspection list and replaced a ceiling fan.

 + 0 moreSundog Electric did a great job installing 3 new ceiling fans! Brian and his assistant came out at the agreed upon time, and were wonderful to work with! One old fan they replaced had been improperly installed when the house was constructed, and Brian was able to add the box and properly install our new fan. We love the new fans/switches they installed, and have already scheduled him to do additional electrical work. I would definitely recommend Brian and Sundog Electric to anyone needing ceiling fan installation or any other electrical work done at very reasonable prices!

We found Brian's quotes to be in line with the market and most amazingly he tends to overbid which means we pay less when he'sdone, or so we have so far. They are very polite and positive and well worth any scheduling waits they may have. He is coming back later this month for additional work and will be involved in two other remodeling projects we have planned. Great people, great service

 + 0 moreSundog was very responsive, professional, and knowledgable from the first time I called them to make an appointment. Brian returned my call promptly to set up an appointment and also and offered helpful advice over the phone about our jet tub problem. They arrived promptly at their scheduled time and were able to get a lot of work done in a short amount of time since there were two electricians working side by side. They addressed all of our problems to our satisfaction, including a fuse problem that had been going on for years (other companies had unsuccessfully tried to fix it). The motion sensor lights they installed don't work exactly as we expected, but Brian has been very responsive over the telephone in making suggestions about how to change the light settings. We're so happy to have found an electrician we can trust in the future to do high quality work at reasonable prices.

 + -1 moreA couple of times, Sundog Electric was very good. They were very inexpensive. The last time, he was very surly because he said he already fixed what I called him for. It's still not working right and I just decided not to deal with him anymore because he was surly when I asked him. He said "The breaker was fixed on this" but it's still not working right. He came out and fixed it again and it worked but the breaker goes off again. I can't get it to reset. I asked him to replace it but he says no because he reset it already and he is not going to replace it.
Description of Work: I used Sundog Electric before. The last time he came out was to fix my breaker.

 + 1 moreGREAT! Brian and Doc were right on time, and they worked very hard and quickly until all the work was done. Everything was cleaned up when they left, Brian answered all my questions, and they even did a few extra jobs I hadn't mentioned to them when scheduling. One job involved cutting some holes in the drywall, and they were considerate about doing minimal damage and putting it into a corner that is not very visible. They were also very friendly and patient towards my four kiddos, who wanted to watch everything that was going on! I called several companies, and Brian's prices are by far the best. I was actually shocked at how much less he charged, but the quality of the work is first-rate. I will definitely make Sundog my first call for electric work in the future!

 + -1 moreCalled Sundog Electric and they were able to get me scheduled the next day. Brian came out to replace the faulty Breaker. They tested and reset the breaker. Turns out nothing was wrong with the breaker. It just needed to be reset. Since they didn't replace the breaker they charged me nothing. I will definitely use Sundog Electric in the future as they could have replaced and charged me without me ever knowing nothing was wrong. One of the reason I joined Angie?s List was to find honestand reliable service providers. Sundog Electric is definitely on that list.

Description of Work: Brian replaced an old ceiling fan with a new one for us. He assembled the new fan, put down a drop cloth so his ladder, which had been on his van's roof during the snow storm that day, wouldn't drip all over our hardwood floors, got off the "caulked to death" bezel from the previous fan, and rewired and installed the new fan in short order. He even gave us an old fan controller since the new fan's remote was missing.

 + -1 moreI couldn't have asked for a better experience. Brian and his assistant, Doc were professional, quick and efficient, knowledgeable and thorough. Their work was clean, safe and above all, correct. Their pricing was absolutely fair, if not even better than fair. I appreciated their help, their work quality and their work ethic and I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future for all of my electrical needs.
Description of Work: The night prior to service, I noticed that my washer, dryer, furnace and a couple of outlets didn't have power, yet the rest of my home did, despite these appliances being on different circuit breakers in my panel, none of which had been tripped. I called Sundog the next day to see if they could squeeze me in since it had been cold enough outside to make it uncomfortable without an operational furnace. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to fit me in and could come to take a look. Once on-site, Brian discovered that the source of the problem was a bad main breaker where the main power is split into the different meters for the individual condos in my building. This had resulted in the loss of one phase of power intermittently as the power was arcing at this bad breaker. He quickly replaced the breaker and even assisted with the replacement of a couple of bad outlets inside my home that I had been having trouble with for a long time while he was there.
