Sundog Electric

We cannot say enough about the fantastic job Brian and his crew did on our project. After a major remodel, we were left with a disaster in our kitchen. All of the lighting needed to be re-done. Can lighting was not in the right location, track lighting was poorly installed, switches didn't work properly, etc. Brian worked with our lighting designer to figure out the best way to rectify the problem. In addition to meeting with us onsite twice before even doing the work, Brian was extremely responsive in addressing questions via email as we worked on the lighting order. On the day of the job, Brian and his crew showed up on time, ready to go and extremely engaged. Brian and his crew are extremely professional, pleasant to work with, pay great attention to detail, and work with a job site that is immaculate. They were done with the entire project in less than a day, a project our remodeler said would take one week. We highly recommend Brian and are very thankful we found him on Angie's List!

I had purchased the Angie's List deal for electrical work, but sadly, this provider does not service our area. It's understandable, it would be close to two hours of driving time. I did receive a call from Sundog explaining this, he was very pleasant. I then called Angie's List and got a full refund on my deal.

I was very pleased with everything except one item. When they had done the doorbell, I thought they had screwed on the plastic piece on the doorbell to attach it to the wood. They had only used the double sided tape to attach it. After 6-7 people rang the doorbell, it fell off. I had to get a drill and use a couple of screws to secure it to the door myself.

Brian and his team are awesome. Smooth process and everything went as planned. They were punctual, polite, and did great work. I would recommend Sundog Electric to anyone.

Sundog is a pleasure to work with. I work from home and appreciate they self-manage very well without bothering me while I'm on a call. The work they do is excellent and its the best pricing I have found for the work. - They also gave me advice on questions I had about outlet layout which other electricians declined to do.

Installed exterior ac box. Did such a good job I had them install three additional ac receptacles.

The team members at Sundog Electric are always courteous and professional. They show up on time, do the work efficiently, and leave things better than they were when they arrived. By "better" I mean that they not only do an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves; they also take the time to deal with any issues or problems. Brian took the time to clean up all the badly-routed wiring in our main box. Doc and Beth saw that we had a circuit breaker that was overrated for the wiring it served. Since this could have led to overheated wires (causing at best wiring failure, at worst a house fire), I was more than pleased to give them the go-ahead when they advised me to let them change out the circuit breaker! Great, caring people and really pleasant to do business with. Thank you, Sundog Electric! You are the only electrician we will choose to work for us!

I had 2 lights and three outlets that were not working, all of which were on a gfi breaker. I was unable to figure out how to fix this myself, so called Sundog Electric. Brian determined that the gfi breaker was bad and he replaced it. He also installed a gfi outlet in one bathroom. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. He arrived on time, determined the problem and fixed it within an hour. I would definitely hire this company again for electrical work.

I bought the $80 coupon. I was impressed with the professionalism and the work. It wasn't difficult work, just installing 4 dimmers and doing a few other miscellaneous things. I had numerous questions about under cabinet lighting and bathroom fans and the guy who came gave me great advice. I'd definitely use these guys again.

I bought the deal for the 2 providers for one hour. The first provider called that he would be a little late, but really was on time. He was an apprentice and did not let me know that. The second guy was considerably late, 15-20 minutes. I paid for two electricians for an hour and got an apprentice for an hour and a journeyman for 40. The ceiling fan in my bedroom was working fine it was just the light was not working anymore. They couldn't figure out how to take some part of it apart to look at why the light wasn't working and asked to see the manual to the fan. I did not have the manual to provide them. They said they didn't understand how to do it and worked in my bedroom for about 20 minutes on the fan. They eventually came out and said that it was broken and could not be fixed, which I do not trust. I think they couldn't even get it apart to fully look at it. My fan does still work, but it was silent before this company worked on it and now is so noisy it keeps me up at night. They actually made my fan worse. I would not hire them again. Highly unsatisfied.

I recently bought a house and the home inspector recommended that I have the electrical panel replaced. I contacted Sundog Electric and set an appointment to see if I needed to get the work done. Brian came out on the scheduled day. He called me when he was on his way to the house. When he arrived he took a look at the panel and said there was no need to replace it. Replacing the panel would have cost about $2800 so I was super pleased with his honesty. We talked about the outlets in my house not being grounded and he told me that it was pretty easy to do and the two ways to do it so I could do it myself. Again saving me money. I then scheduled the work to get three new outlets put in. On the scheduled day of the work there were tornadoes in and around the Denver area. Brian called to let me know that the appointment would be later that day due to the weather. That was fine as my schedule is very flexible. About a 1/2 later Brian called to see if I could reschedule but offered to still come that evening if I couldn't. I was more than happy to move the work out to the next week. On the scheduled day Brian came out. He was able to come a little early and started right in. The workmanship is fantastic. Oncethe work was completed I couldn't tell anything had been done as he had cleaned everything up. Brian was professional, very easy going and friendly. This was a great experience and I will be using Sundog Electric for all of my future electrical projects.

It took about an hour and they did not charge me for the light fixture they replaced. They were early, efficient, professional and as I will likely be doing some electrical work in the future, I will use them again. I was very, very happy with Sundog. The sent out 2 electricians, both of whom were very professional. In one hour's time, they fixed my garage door fuse problem and rewired my kitchen outlets to meet code. This cost $185.00 and with an Angie's List coupon that i bought, my total cost was under $150.00. Since another company told me I needed to replace my fuse box at a cost of over $2,000.00, you can see why I was delighted with Sundog.

This is my third time using Sun Dog and I am very pleased. Doc and Austin were great. They added 7 new recessed lights and installed LED trims. They moved two recessed to another location and moved my dining room junction box to a new location. They relocated switches from a pony wall we took down and put the wiring in the main wall and added a three way switch.

When looking on Angie’s List, I was impressed that the owner of Sundog Electric responded to all who wrote comments. An owner who cares says a lot to me. Brian and his assistant came to my home, spent two hours working non-stop, were polite and efficient, and charged me a reasonable fee. I highly recommend Sundog Electric.

Brian and Jeremy handled it all quickly an efficiently. They were booked out, but worth the wait, and always showed up on time (if not early), and on schedule.

We had 2 lights out (in downstairs bedroom and bathroom) and the guys from Sundog came out and thoroughly checked out the switches, fixtures, and outlets to try and diagnose what was happening. They couldn't find the problem and thought it might be a loose wire in a hidden junction box, but made some recommendations and provided a quote to fix which was reasonable but would have required some digging into the wall as a last resort which we hoped to avoid. After this we were able to get a family friend to find the issue (with a negative wire connected to another bathroom above the downstairs bath, not typical wiring but all on the same circuit ... ) and avoid digging for a breaker box. Would hire the Sundog team again as they were friendly and I though thorough in trying to find a solution to a tricky issue. Just worked out that someone else was able to find the issue this time.

Sundog was on time and professional. The crew did the work quickly and neatly. The only problem I had is that one of the blades was not fully engaged with the safety clip, so it flew out of the fan when I turned it on high. This happened after the crew left, but I was able to put the blade back in myself and engage the safety clip. It did put a small dent in my wall where the blade hit, but luckily no one was in the room and nothing was broken.

The crew that showed up went to work right away and made good progress in a reasonable period of time. I was pleased in general with how the work was done. After they left I found that there was one phone plate whose replacement wasn't completed (somehow the new plate had ended up in a trash can with all of the old outlets and plates to be discarded), and I was concerned that there was some debris near some of the replaced outlets and switches. I let Brian the owner know of my concern, and he immediately responded. He apologized, and quickly came out to take care of the final plate replacement himself. He said he would ensure that his crew knew they needed to do a better job of cleaning up in the future. "That's not how we do business," he said. I'm impressed with Brian, and I will definitely use him for future work.

The electricians were prompt, very professional and friendly; they got right to work and understood the work that was needed. The were knowledgeable when we asked questions. We didn't always know what we needed so we would call them for one thing and get that done. Then we would find out there was something else wrong in another area so we'd call them back for that project. They didn't mind doing small projects and did a great job with the small and larger projects. It's nice to be treated so well when you only have a small job. I think we were treated as well as if we had a large job.

When Donlin and Austin arrived, they were professional, courteous, did not waste any time and LISTENED! I appreciated the fact that these young men took the time to recognize that my husband is not a dummy (40+ years as an electro-mechanical engineer) and respected what he shared with them. They inspected all items, recommended and replaced a breaker, and even installed a new weather GFI, cover, and plate on the back porch that was old. We are VERY happy with the work these two young men performed and especially their willingness to listen and show respect to my husband.
