Rock Solid in Littleton, CO (720-344 7625) was a pleasure to work with for our new granite kitchen counters. Jen and Sophia worked with us flawlessly. Jen did our layout and whereas other companies told us that it would take two slabs to do our project, Jen laid it out with only one slab. This even included the back splash. The use of only one slab saved us quite a bit of money. Scheduling the installation was so easy. From the time we gave Rock Solid the okay until installation was less than two weeks and the installation by Jose and Jose was done in less than half a day. Rock Solid did not forget us after the sale either. We were called back after installation to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction and they even make us a couple of granite cutting boards from some of the excess material. If you need granite do yourself a favor and call Rock Solid.

Rock solid cut the kitchen island counter to wide by the stove and now there is a 1/4 inch by 1.5 inch gap on either side of the stove. They also got glue all over the counters which damaged the surface and looks terrible! No professional would have installed counters that were improperly cut and damaged but Rock Solid had no problem with this at all. They won't replace the stone and have blamed the problem on ceasarstone and said we have to go through their warranty process. However, they won't even submit the paperwork until we pay in full for the counters. Do not hire Rock Solid unless you're ok with paying full price for a terrible product!!

This review isn't necessarily to the quality of work but to how rude the owner Zach is. If your install goes according to plan, I'm sure you'll have a great experience, but if not you'll be treated poorly. Our counters look good, except for one corner on a nearly-full-slab-island. I'm sure there will be a response to this as to how that's "well within industry standards" but that's not the reason I felt obligated to leave this review. We had about an $8k project - kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen has a large island and when templator came, I informed him the island was slightly out of square (half inch over 112"). He templated it as square and said it wouldn't be noticeable. This is a guy with 20+ years of experience working on very expensive homes, so I trusted him. Installation day comes and its pretty noticeable that the overhang is almost twice what it should be, so we call Zach to see what to do. He says the cabinets need to be squared, and jumps to the defensive that they did nothing wrong: "we aren't taking the hit for this my guys leave with the counters or a check." I was trying to get to a win-win and problem solve, get some info or reassurance from a guy thats been in the business for 15 years, but apparently he would rather take back several cut up slabs of granite than have a civilized conversation or provide customer service. I asked why the templator didn't tell me the island needed to be modified, or why he didn't template the granite to fit with correct overhangs since it was out of square and never received an answer there. Everyone we worked with up until this exchange with Zach was great. Alex and the install team, Drake and the folks in the office. He sent a note the following day asking how they could help and I mentioned that after the heated phone call, I didn't leave feeling like I'd ever want to buy granite from him again, and simply asked for an acknowledgment that someone should have told us to fix the island before we got to install, since he said that was the optimal solution, and that the issue was from setting the wrong expectations and/or a lack of such a communication. Didn't ask for an apology, discount, etc. No response to that email. A simple "sorry it wasn't quite perfect lets all learn from this and we're glad you're happy with our product" would have been a reasonable expected response. Do a quick google of "Zach Morrow Colorado" and you'll get some past articles of craigslist scams his "family business" was running. Look at reviews outside of google as well.

We had a horrible experience with this company. I wish we would have done a thorough background check on both the company and the people behind it. The full background information is available online if you are willing, and know where, to look. Note that there have been a couple of Rock Solid Custom Granite legal entities which have dissolved in the last decade. This should have been another red flag to us. This is our story. Rock Solid installed our countertops and kitchen sink on December 7, 2017. Their crew showed up 5 hours late and rushed through the job. They caused unusual amount of drywall damage when they moved the dishwasher. We overheard one of the crew members asking another what happened. When we contacted the company, the person currently running it (Zach Morrow) pointed to a nonbinding quote that said some damage may occur and was not interested in helping to fix it or offer a courtesy credit. We paid out of pocket to repair the dry wall and to repaint that area of the wall. Then the day before Thanksgiving 2018 the left side of the undermounted kitchen sink detached and slipped down. When we contacted Zach, understandably angry, he argued that it detached because we partially thawed our turkey in the sink. Our turkey weighed 9.2 pounds. His argument is obviously ludicrous as millions of Americans thaw much heavier turkeys and bathe their babies in undermounted kitchen sinks without incident. Then he argued in his email that we were outside of the warranty period. The express warranty terms on Rock Solid’s form provides a 1-year warranty upon installation and our claim was within the 1-year period by several weeks. Zach argued that the installation warranty started on the earlier date of the invoice (we had to prepay 50% prior to installation). His argument is of course nonsensical. How can an installation warranty start prior to installation? Perhaps recognizing this absurdity, he then claimed in another email that Rock Solid has no records of when the sink was installed. My opinion is any business who does not keep records of their installation date of less than a year ago is either incompetent or trying to deceive (let alone, that there is a written record of the installation date). Zach only offered to reinstall the sink if we paid another $250 as a “service fee”. So much for the “100% customer satisfaction” and “no hidden fees” displayed on their website. When we hired another contractor to fix the sink, they also pointed out that Rock Solid used the wrong adhesives and not enough adhesive around the area where it detached. They also pointed out that Rock Solid did not cut the hole in the countertop around the sink flush with the sink, causing an uneven surface and water to seep in and result in mold. Their work all around is defective. In sum, we do not find them to be reputable. They did not honor binding contact terms. Their performance is not consistent with sound workmanship and was defective. You may be left with no recourse but to pursue a legal action (indeed online records show prior legal actions filed against Rock Solid Granite). We would never recommend this company to anyone.

Zach and his crew from Rock Solid Custom Granite did a fantastic job on my kitchen and bath. I was very pleased with how quickly and smoothly the whole process went, from picking out the granite to the installation. Any questions I had were answered promptly. I added a bar height counter onto the island and Don, the fellow that came out to measure, was very helpful in making suggestions to make it look good. It all come out fantastic. The fellows that came to install the granite were on time and very respectful of my house. I would have no problem recommending Rock Solid, they did an excellent job.

My wife placed this call - thought that Rock Solid would be a good starting point for getting this admittedly small project taken care of because he EXPLICITLY STATES in his Angie's List Business Description that and quot;No job is too big or too small for us to tackle We are new to Angie's list and need your help to get reviews!!!and quot; and that they give free estimates on and quot;any project (big or small)and quot;.Well, apparently not. So here is my help in getting you reviews - you were incredibly rude to my wife on the phone and told her that the job is too small. We had a similar response from a few other granite specialists we called, but no one was nearly as rude to her as Rock Solid was, and (from Angie's List pages at least) not a single other one of them EXPLICITLY STATES that no job is too small. Even had a couple of them who were also incredibly busy offer to do the work for a minimum that they told us was far higher than would typically charge.Maybe she caught the rep on a bad day, but this was our experience w/ Rock Granite.
Description of Work: Nothing - called to request a quote for the removal & replacement of a broken sink (epoxied into granite, I want a professional to remove to avoid cracking the granite if at all possible).

This was an interesting process. We measured our counters and sent a drawing with these measurements to Rock Solid. Then, we selected our granite and signed a contract. Once this was done, someone came out to measure the kitchen, and finally the counters were installed. The counters look great. The price was reasonable and the installation was complete in an hour and half. My questions along the way were answered promptly. So, I am a satisfied customer. If you need design input, this may not be your vendor as there is not much hand-holding in the process. For example, I wouldn't have known they did not install the plumbing afterwards if I had not asked about this. If you are willing to do a reasonable amount of research before paying this type of money, I would highly recommend the company.

After deciding to upgrade to stone countertops, like many folks we started at the big box stores only to learn the selection was limited and every option came with an additional fee. We quickly determined that going directly to a fabricator would provide more control and choice at no additional cost. Angie's helped me find several local shops with good reputations. After getting bids and meeting face to face we chose Rock Solid in Littleton. The initial 60 sq ft. plan was bid using Pental Quartz. Their quote was competitive but two things swayed me to use Rock Solid: First was going to the shop. After a tour of a very clean organized fabrication area, Jake took the time to explain the different properties of each material and the beauty of natural vs. man-made surfaces. The second point was scheduling. I was requesting the job completion prior to a floor renovation and they could meet my tight schedule. After next spending a day at the granite warehouse we selected a category 4 Bordeaux Granite and put down the deposit to set things in motion. A few days later the job was being templated. Rock Solid's templater knows his job and does it with the artistry of a master. It's the most critical step for getting stone work accurate since mistakes are tough to fix later. Not one issue showed up with the fabrication of any of the sections. All were measured cut and edged precisely. Installation was done about a week later, correctly and professionally by the friendly two-person crew. Everything fit perfectly and looked great - so great that we suddenly realized we should have also replaced the oak cap on the divider wall between the kitchen and family room. This unplanned 5 sq. ft. request came with a cost but Rock Solid was easily able to accomodate this request out of the leftover material. Despite being booked with larger jobs they squeezed in this fab effort within a reasonable timeframe and with one quick service visit the installation was complete.Altogether, this outfit does a fine job and they do their best to meet your timeframe with a get 'er done attitude. I would have no problem using them again or recommending them to others doing a remodel. Check their website for many examples of their quality work. Get your pricing comparisons but be sure to understand Jake's quote is the total job cost and that includes the sink and all those additional itemized expenses.

Obtained three quotations, two from local "big box" stores and one from Rock Solid to replace laminate kitchen counter tops with Quartz. Rock Solid was the lowest cost for the exact same scope of work. In addition Rock Solid procured the material, did all the required fabrication in their facility and completed the installation with their crews. No sub-contractors involved. The entire process was well communicated, very timely and very professionally executed. The installation phase, which included demolition of the original laminate counter tops, was completed in 1/2 day with no collerateral damage and excellent job site cleanup. I would recommend Rock Solid and will use them again.

Rock Solid is simply the best. A few years ago I bought granite for my kitchen through Home Depot. It isn't bad, but the granite fabrication and installation through Rock Solid is so far superior that now I want to replace the granite in my kitchen through Rock Solid. They are great to work with and all three of my bathrooms look amazing.

We looked in their scrap yard for the piece of granite we liked. We could choose any scrap for the same price which was nice. They came to the house to make a template of the countertop. They came back a week later and installed the countertop and sink. At that time they drilled the holes for the faucet. It looks great and it was easy. We'll probably use them to do another bathroom soon.
