They were prompt professional and did a good job. Having painted houses in college I know what a good job looks like (a house I painted in 1976 was only repainted in 2005, I was stunned!). This was a good job.

The total time working was 3 days but it was split up because of snow and weather issues. They were very professional and nice. However, I didn't feel like the quality was what I was expecting. There were some places that were missed. There were a number of very obvious drips and things that I need to go back and touch up myself. What I think should have been done, I would have expecting the project manager to come out and look at the job to make sure it was up to par. Rather than making me as the customer do touch up things. It wasn't that bad; I don't want to make it sound like it was awful.

The additional work that I asked to be done was overpriced and the contractor appeared as a hired person and not necessary employed by Patriot. Though the gentleman did a good job, we was not given enough time to complete the job so gave me the impression of being hurried to get out. The color consultant did a an ok job with selecting colors, but did not tell the painter where to put them which caused two very similar colors to be placed next to one another, which was a waste of paying for trim painting. Also, without giving me a chance to review my final bill, they ran my debit card for the final payment which put me in a situation financially. They seem like they are taking on too many jobs, not doing follow-up or communicating with the client and the person doing the estimating never even came to the house.

First of all, their manager came to give an estimate. He is very nice and is very professional and has very good listening skills. I had looked at a couple others companies, but chose them because he was professionally engaging with me. Their crew was nice, professional and punctual when it came to doing the work. They told me exactly the number of days it would take and they delivered on time as they promised. The quality was very good and I am very satisfied with their work. I have another job inside the house for drywall repair that I will be using them for.
Description of Work: They repainted the outside of my home and also did some wood panel adjustments.

Started off well then went downhill: Met with the estimator, we walked the exterior and interior of the house. During our meeting I was told I would get 5% off for the exterior then 5% off the interior work (total 10% of the bill) which was great. Got both bids the next day, and reviewed with the salesman (not the same as the estimator I had met). Went over the scope of work and when I mentioned I didn't see the discount, was told it will be added in on the last invoice as a coupon. Should have been a red flag but decided to go forward. Had to split up the exterior and interior work as the house was occupied but being packed up for it to be sold. Got called the day before the exterior was scheduled that it had to be moved as the snow earlier in the week put them behind. Not a big issue, they would call me back with the new date. 2-3 weeks went by without any communication until I get a call from the occupant in the home, that painters were at the door. Allowed them to proceed, but they said they got the work order the night before and to contact the salesman. When I spoke to the salesman he claimed they had the work order for weeks. Occupant was annoyed they had to take the day off to keep the dogs inside and let them out as needed instead of being allowed to roam freely. Figured the painters would appreciate not having to deal with a protective 80lb Shepherd. The crew was very professional and friendly, did great work, however did notice they dripped some paint onto the freshly stained porch. Invoice was paid (no discount on invoice as it was to be taken off on the end of the work (being the interior work)). Had to reschedule the interior a few times which they were very flexible, but got it started on Wednesday the 11th. Had a different crew this time, but everything started out great. Very friendly and professional. Things seemed to be going well when I was there on Thursday, pointed out a few missed areas, but they were coming back Friday. Kept saying should only be a couple hours on Friday which I figured wasn't enough, but I'm not a painter. Spoke to the Tagged the areas I found (with painters tape) that would need touch up Friday and left. On Friday I was asked about the stair risers which I thought was part of the initial bid (made no sense why it would be left the original color compared to the wall), but after talking to the salesman they agreed to paint it in exchange for a positive review, which I was happy to do. Also had the ceiling in one room painted which I supplied the paint and they charged me for the work. They touched up a few other ceiling areas with supplied paint, which was discussed with the estimator in the very beginning. On Sunday I reviewed the invoice which was full price (the 10% promised wasn't on there). and spoke with the occupant who told me of the issues that took place on Friday. Said it seemed like a different crew, despite it being the same people. They seemed to be in a rush and had to have missed areas pointed out, including a missed closet and part of the kitchen. A hole from the front door was patched and painted, but was again hit on their way out, empty paint bins and a bag of trash was also left in front of the house. I emailed the salesman about these issues Sunday night and we went over everything today. I can understand defending your employees but making excuses for them is not acceptable, and was asked if I had the discount promised in an email...all of our discussions were over the phone. The hole in the wall was being attributed to another source (person) and lack of door stop (which I explained would be added, but the front door is never used, entrance/exit is through the garage). Despite the front door being left open the entire time they were there, and it was left open when they left, so not sure how it can be attributed to someone else. Was also explained there would be no reason for them to be in a rush, when they're paid hourly. Somehow employees wanting to leave early to start a long weekend is a foreign concept... After all this, I got an updated invoice with 10% off the last invoice, not the total work (short changing me $116). Along with a voicemail of more excuses for the issues. At that point I hit my limit, and told them I will fix the hole they made, take care of the trash they left, fix the paint dripped on the porch, and pay the invoice as is. Having any further interaction with them was not worth the hassle or time. After walking the house the next day, I found a lot of areas they dripped all over the moldings, and areas that still show the original paint color. Add to that, they charged my card without authorization from me.

Overall, they started the job a week and a half late; which I understood based on Colorado weather. However, from there it continued to go downhill. The subcontractors were not professional in showing up to the job or being communicative about changes of schedule. They consistently told me they'd be here early and usually showed up later than 9 am to work. They weren't consistent in what crew was working on the house and you could see the lack of consistency in the finished product. They were supposed to finish the job in no more than 4 days and literally only worked half days and job took a week. After work was completed, house was not painted in professional manner and an actual employee spent two additional days working on fixing their mistakes. On top of this, the subcontractors also took down our house numbers and it took almost three weeks to get these back. When they were returned, they were scratched and looked bad, but company reps put those back up without confirming if this was okay prior to them leaving.
Description of Work: The provider gave the bare minimum of service. They were to paint the exterior of my house.

The painting was fine, but they appear to contract labor that is not employed by their company. The painter was directed by the estimator that had never seen my house, so the estimator kept quibbling on number of colors, how they underestimated and should be charging me more and THEY CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD FOR THE FULL TOTAL WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. You could get the same job, without having to argue about price after the agreement has been signed, with a smaller company. Shame on them.

We decided to get the painting done while we were on vacation.I was pretty meticulous about marking most walls with the paint colors so there were no issues with getting the right colors in the right places. They did a good job and things turned out great. The only real negative was there were paint drippings in numerous places that took me a bit to get off but they did come off.Overall for the price we were very satisfied. The communication was great and I really liked the progress report online since we were out of the country.

We initially had a crew come out to paint the interior of some of our bedrooms. They did a fine job (although they did not caulk around the windows which seems to be an ongoing issue with them). They had excellent reviews so I had them provide me with a bid to paint the exterior of my home. After speaking with Miguel about paint quality I decided to upgrade to a higher quality of paint than was included in the quote. We schedule a start date and I was told that they would be in touch to set up a time to spray wash the exterior of our home. While hosting a brunch in our backyard on a Saturday morning, and with no notice a crew of power washers showed up to power wash my home. It was annoying but I let it go figuring one communication issue was not that big of a deal. The crew did a nice job painting the house and cleaning up. However I noticed two HUGE issues. The first was that I happened to look at the paint cans that they had left in the garage and noticed that they had used a lower quality of paint than I had paid for. I immediately contacted Miguel and we worked it out and he was very reasonable. However, I was really disappointed that the paint I had chose (which also lasts a few years longer) was not used. This again indicated to me that there was communication issues at the company. The other issue was that not a single window or door had been caulked. It literally took months of back and forth including sending photos and meeting with crew members numerous times to get the issue resolved. I was first informed that they do not caulk around windows and doors, but this work was included in the contract I signed with them. Additionally I was told NUMEROUS times that a crew would come by to do the work and I would sit at home and wait and no one would show up. Finally 4.5 months after they completed the project they caulked for me. The caulking was pretty sloppy but I was tired of dealing with them any longer.

Greg was right on time for the estimate. And professional. It took him over an hour to look over the house to see what needed to be done, and write up the estimate. Then he went over in detail what the painters would do. After having gotten several estimates, it was a no-brainer to select Patriot Painting for the job. We called to let them know. It was so easy and fast signing the contract. Everything is done online so there's no time lost in back and forth mail. A few days later, Miguel called, then followed up with an email, stating the start date. Unfortunately, due to the cold weather that hit in November, our project started 3 weeks late. Which wasn't a problem with us. Carlos and crew arrived on the Monday of the new date, on time. They too, were very professional. They introduced themselves, then were off and running. They scraped where it was needed. The windows were covered, then they power washed. Before painting, they covered all light fixtures, door knobs, and locks with tape. They laid plastic on the deck floor. They did an amazing job at caulking a couple of areas where we have had some water damage, resulting in large cracks. When everything was painted, they removed all coverings and cleaned up. They then spent time walking around the house doing touch ups where needed. When all was completed, Carlos and I did a walk around looking over the job. All in all, they did an awesome job! We would definitely recommend them. JOB WELL DONE

They came out for a free estimate, kept up communication while planning the job, and were very easy and accommodating to work with when scheduling around our fussy winter weather, too.The quality of the work is terrific - they spent a long time prepping the walls, masking off the zillion things that didn't need paint, and applied a primer coat and two top coats in the color I selected from the local Sherwin-Williams store. The painters were super friendly, always called or texted when they were on their way or heading out for supplies, and encouraged me to inspect the job afterwards to point any mistakes out. I didn't find any.I seriously recommend this company. I did my research before hiring them, and I'm glad I did. They're terrific and I'd hire them again for any painting project I have in the future.

Terrible experience. I would not recommend hiring Patriot Painting Professionals. Highlights: - crew showed up unannounced with no warning - Greg bid job for 4-5 days, took crew 2 ½ short work days, and it showed that they rushed through it - very sloppy painting, poor lines, many areas where dark trim paint was over-brushed onto lighter colored stucco and not removed - many areas where old paint showed through new paint, indicating only one coat applied when we had paid for two coats - many areas on gutters (4 or 5) that were not painted at all showing old paint - both sliding glass doors had areas not painted at all because crew did not remove screen door(or ask us to) or actually open the door (or ask us to) - Most windows had trim tape left on them - most windows had paint splatter on them - most windows had old paint showing through in many areas - brown masking paper left all over yard(trash), two places wher brown masking paper actually left on house(poor cleanup) - foreman left signature page on our door and left as we were not immediately available for walk through - Patriot CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD for the balance due BEFORE I had a chance to do a walk through OR sign the signature page. I had to call Miguel to get the charge reversed until the job was completed to my satisfaction. - AFTER I complained about the poor work, Miguel sent the same crew back out to fix the errors. I was disappionted Patriot did not send a supervisor or manager out to inspect the poor work. - I spent over an hour walking aroung the home with the foreman to point out all of the errors and mistakes, several times. A customer should not have to do this - a "professional" should be able to recognize quality work or lack of. A supervisor should be inspecting his crews work. Very frustrating - Again, as a paying customer, I should not have to expend significant time telling a contractor how to do their job. That is why you hire them. - all in all, the crew spent an entire day, 8-10 hours at my home correcting all of the mistakes, omissions, and sloppy painting. - After asking Miguel several times, he finally sent Greg out to inspect the work - Greg seemed annoyed at this and didn't really seem to care if I was dissatisfied. I am not the pickiest customer around, but I do expect quality work, and Patriot did not deliver this promise. Low quality work, poor follow up, poor communication.

Greg arrived on time for the estimate, and we quickly agreed that the exterior painting job I needed done was of the right size for the $699 Big Deal for two painters for a day, with a little time left over for some extra touch-up elsewhere. I call Greg a few times and got no response, then called the main office on October 22, 2015 to book the work. They said they couldn't schedule me in for another month, which made me a little concerned, since winter was coming up fast, but I agreed to a date of November 20. I got a nice follow up mail confirming my November 20 appointment, and I confirmed that I'd received it. I arranged to be at the house that Friday and have the paint ready. On Friday November 20th at 9:00am I called to ask when they'd be showing up. They told me that they were coming on November 27th. I checked to make sure I'd read correctly that the email they'd sent me said November 20. It did. They wanted me to wait another week for the time they'd put me in on their calandar. That meant they'd be here on the Friday after Thanksgiving (not okay with my schedule), and the forecast called for temperatures of 20 degrees and snow on the 26th, so it wouldn't work anyway (the paint says to apply at temps between 35-90 degrees) I sent them an email to let them know I was cancelling, and asked Angie's list to refund the payment for the Big Deal. I then did the work myself. The time window for getting the work done before serious winter weather was closing too fast to wait any longer. I don't know how to rate this. One small mistake, but a mistake that meant: * I'd cleared a Friday schedule for nothing * Strong likelihood of rolling postponements due to weather, leaving that part of the house still exposed if the work wasn't done * That they were booking 5 weeks out for a small job. I'm sorry Patriot; this is the kind of "small" mistake that a service provider can't make. I also would have appreciated a follow-up email apology.

We had a terrible experience with Patriot Painting. After the crew power washed the house, they masked off windows, etc. and began spraying out the exterior with no prep. We had bare wood in some places and peeling paint in others. They just sprayed over it. We had also contracted for them to replace some drip edging and other wood. They did not do that. When we brought this to the attention of the contract manager, they stopped mid spray and came back and did a very haphazard scrape, caulk and prime job. We only saw any primer on the front of the house and on the top rail of our deck. They did, at that point, replace the drip edge and prime. They were at the house M,Tu, W, and Th for about 4 to 5 hours a day. They did not clean up at the end of the day and left fast food bags, trash, debris. They came for the final time on Saturday at 4 pm and said they were "finishing up" the job. They quickly sprayed over the primed areas, sprayed the front door the accent color we had chosen, and managed to get overspray inside the house on the hardwood floors in entry way as well as the off white walls. The front door color was dark gray - so we now have dark gray overspray in our house. This was in addition to the overspray on our brick, concrete front stairs, roof flashing and wood deck. If the paint job was the only problem, that could be fixed, but, in addition, they crushed four newly installed gutter downspout extensions, they tracked paint on our brick patio and across our recently refinished wood deck (the crew stepped in paint and we have foot prints now where they walked on the deck). We have not seen anyone from the company since a week ago Saturday although they have called or emailed to say they were coming (no show). We still have bags of trash in our yard, debris all round the house, nails in the driveway, fast food bags and empty water bottles as well as masking and tape on gutters, roof, etc. I can honestly say that I have never worked with a worse contractor - ever.
Description of Work: Complete exterior paint with some wood replacement.

The painting team had to deal with very challenging weather in December and January but they persisted on the days that were good and timed their work to get the project finished. The outcome was very nice. The pricing, change order costs and final review were all handled very fairly and completely. Very good attention to customer service.
Description of Work: Exterior painting and preparation of walls trim and facia, doors and gate. Soffit repairs
