I purchased a painting deal from Patriot Painters through Angie?s Big Deal. It was for two painters for four hours. Based on the good reviews I?d seen for the company, I was planning to eventually have them paint the exterior of my home so I thought this would be a good trial run. I planned to have a small bathroom with high ceilings painted after replacing the bathroom countertop. I called and spoke with Miguel, and we scheduled my job two months out to make sure all of the other renovations would be done. I confirmed with Miguel that the painters would have a ladder tall enough to allow them to paint the vaulted ceilings. He told me that would not be a problem; they would definitely have a ladder. He recommended that I call about a week out to reconfirm. When I called a week before our scheduled painting date, he again confirmed that the painters would bring a ladder and suggested I call the day before they were to arrive with any last minute questions or concerns. I did call the day before and left a message for Miguel that I would see them tomorrow. Friday morning came and no one arrived. When I called the office, there was confusion, and Miguel was not in. I called back later and was able to speak with him, and he was surprised and clueless that we had scheduled painters for that day, even though it had been on the books for 2 months. He said he could have them come on Monday instead. I had taken a day off of work to accommodate painting plans, and no apologies were offered. When the painters arrived on Monday, they arrived without a ladder. They told me they could return on Tuesday with a ladder and paint then, and I said the job HAD to be done now. We had to borrow an extension ladder from my neighbor. The painters finished within 3 hours and with the paint still wet, it looked like they?d done a decent job. The next day, after the paint had dried, it was apparent that there were spots that had not been painted well as the old paint color was showing through. I called Miguel to let him know that I needed them to touch up those spots. He told me that was not possible; they would not return. He basically told me that it wasn't his problem that the quality was poor because I had only paid for 4 hours of painting and their company was losing money on this Angie's list deal. I assume this deal was a marketing attempt at getting new business, but if they treated other customers the way I was treated, I doubt it won them many new clients. I certainly would not recommend this company.

They did a great job, kept me informed about how the process would work. One one small issue, the first crew was a little tardy in getting started and they substituted another crew who did a very fine job.

There were some weather delays and some misunderstandings, but once the project started it was an incredible process. The painters were friendly and professional. They consulted with me throughout the project, asking me every detail throughout.

Crew was great, one crew came and power washed one day and then the painters started prepping and painting the next. Ran into a few days of high wind when they couldn't get up on the ladders (high house with a walk-out basement) but overall took about 4 days. Very happy with the outcome and would use again. Well priced bid and great to work with.

We don't have a small house and they were done in 2 days. The pricing was right. The crew was extremely polite, extremely efficient and extremely clean. They showed up both morning and got to work.They were moving. They guesstimated 4 days and they got it done in half the time. We would absolutely use them again.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Greg seemed knowledgeable with the estimate, answering our questions. Charissa came and consulted regarding colors-- she really has vision! The work was done professionally, expertly, & promptly. They cleaned the space up at the end of every day. They also explained the process and consulted with us regarding any specifics.

We found Patriot through Angie's List. Kent, the estimator, came out promptly and gave us a detailed bid. The specifics of the bid were flexible, as there were exterior trim boards that were in bad shape and the house hadn't been painted in a long time. Kent went through the bid and left it with us while we decided who should paint our house. I scanned and e-mailed the signed bid in to Patriot and the work was scheduled, but due to a schedule conflict the prep work started a day late. Patriot's crew worked on Saturday to get the job finished. They worked long hours every day and cleaned up the work site daily. We were happy that they did not need to have the windows covered for very long at all, because the weather was hot. There were only a couple of very minor areas that I pointed out for touch-up on final inspection. The crew was very efficient, and we are very pleased with the results. My house went from being one of the worst in the neighborhood to one of the best. I would recommend Patriot to anyone looking for exterior painting services.

They have a great customer service with the people. Their workers are very professional.

I was very happy with the service. Patriot is very professional, has a great process to make sure you are comfortable with their service, and has great people working for them! Kent Stark came to my house quickly after the initial call and gave me a very reasonable bid. Miguel Gallardo was my project manager. I only dealt with him on the phone, but it was very easy to get in touch with him and he helped whenever needed. Abraham Zamora led my painting team of 2 gentlemen. They are very hard workers and very polite! I would definitely use them again for another job. They listened to my requests, fixed anything I wanted without complaints, and did a great overall painting job! Patriot also has a great warranty program where they will fix issues after they are done painting. I highly recommend these guys.

They did a great job and were finished up in 2 hours. They showed up later than scheduled, but he did call me a few times to let me know they were running late.

Overall it was a disaster. I started by calling the three top-rated painting companies on Angie's List. Patriot Painting's bid was in the middle in terms of price. I spent a lot of time with the estimator (Greg) going over exactly what I wanted to have done, and gave him a printed out list of everything that I expected. On the first day, the first crew showed up and I went over the list to make sure everything was understood. I came home from work at lunch time to discover a total mess. They had started spraying the entire house (with the finish paint) without scraping, sanding, or priming anything. New paint on top of peeling paint. I called the office to ask them to correct the situation and they assured me that was not standard practice and they would correct it. I came back home a couple hours later and found them spraying the rest of the house! I asked them to leave on the spot. The next day a new crew came out with a manager (Abraham) and we talked over everything that needed to be done. When I came back at lunch I discovered the crew was using INTERIOR paint as primer, although they swore to me it was really exterior primer (I have pictures of the cans that show differently). When I confronted them with the cans (that I pulled out of the trash) they just looked down and pretended they couldn't understand English. Well, to make a long story short, that was just the beginning. After they were "completely finished", they had to come back EIGHT different times. Problems included: Peeling paint within a week of application. All windows painted shut (I still have to pry them open every time I want to open a window). Paint on the carpet. Paint on the glass. Trash left all over and paint spilled on landscaping, other home surfaces, concrete, and metal flashing. Bare wood left on the windows (I put blue tape and photographed every spot that needed to be fixed and it was still not fixed). White paint all over the black shingles. Only one side of fence painted (after twice showing them that they missed it). I would estimate that I have spent at least 80 hours of my time dealing with Patriot to get them to finish the job correctly. The owner/manager (Miguel) kept telling me that it was not their fault and that the crews were trying to do things right. If you find yourself in business with Patriot Painting, you are in for an extremely frustrating experience and a sub-par paint job. I have very little faith that their seven year warranty is worth anything or that they will return if/when the paint starts to peel again. This was easily one of the worst professional service experiences of my life.

It took some time to get them out to paint d/t their busy schedule. But painter was on time, professional, courteous, and helpful.

I had used another company (recommended by my contractor) to do the interior of our home as part of a complete home remodel. It was a disaster and I refused to work with them again so I sought out another company for the exterior work. Patriot sent their estimator out to my home within three business days. The bid was completed quickly and the work was scheduled within days as well. All three bids I received were within a couple hundred dollars of each other before replacing wood but Patriot was the only company that quickly responded to my inquiries at all stages. All contracts and payments were made using their web based portal which was extremely convenient. The work was performed by a two man crew (Jesus and friend) and was done perfectly. No drips, over sprays or anything else done less than perfectly. It was the only time in our six month renovation process where I honestly feel like I got more than what I bargained for. I would not hesitate to use Patriot again but I know I will not need them to touch the outside of my home for at least another 10-15 years.

They were very responsive and worked over Mother's day weekend to finish the job.

The job went very well, 2 employees showed and did the job however, had some issues pre arrangement duties with scheduling, communicating and etc.

Working with Patriot Painting was great. From start to finish, initial consultation to removing tape/covering from finished paint surfaces on the home, they did an excellent job. We were assigned Miguel was the project manager and he was very easy to work with. Regardless of when I called, he always called back in a timely manner. He answered any questions we had and made sure that everyone was performing the work as required. Everyone we worked with was very friendly and helpful with the services they offered. The pressure washer and painters always asked us before they did something around the house, making sure we were okay with what they were doing. Pricing was fair and comparable to other estimates, and ultimately the reason we chose Patriot was because of the customer service. Customer service is a premium these days (unfortunately), and Patriot definitely won out in that category. Payment terms were fair as well - 25% deposit when work started, and the remainder when work was completed. They have an online portal that was easy to use for paying. Overall, we had a great experience - we would definitely recommend Patriot in the future!

Everything went extremely well, from the bid process to the final walk through. The estimator came out within 48 hours, and his bid was professional and the lowest of the 3 bids we received. The follow up calls were always professional, and everything was done in the time frame promised. The actual painting team (headed up by Nelson) was prompt (entire job finished in 4 days), and very neat. Their clean up was always thorough, and they moved all of the furniture and materials off of the decks to get everything done. They sought my feedback at every stage. At the end, they did a final walk-thru to make sure that all of my questions were answered and that I was completely satisfied. They were pleasant, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Patriot did a great job. The deal included standard paint, and I wanted to upgrade to premium paint - they had no problem with this and we're able to tell me exactly how much the upgraded paint would cost on top of what I paid for the Angie's List deal. They brought 3 painters and had the whole house power washed in and had started prep work in 1 day. They did a great job caulking and had me do a walk around the house before the even started painting to make sure I was happy with all the prep work. The crew did great work. The job took a little longer than they had anticipated, but the crew made sure everything was perfect. We had a small mis-communication on one part of the front porch that was resolved quickly between the crew and us after a call to the project manager. The house looks great, and I would use Patriot again for any exterior paint job that I needed done.

Very responsive and competitive with bid. Unfortunately - they lost our bid for several months and because we initially had a good experience, we contacted them again. They quickly responded, scheduled the home painting and set us up with a contact. Miguel was very professional, including quick responses and effective problem solving. The painters were fast and did a great job. We had an issue with the garage door and they quickly responded to our concerns and fixed it. Start to finish the job took a little over 2 days and it looks wonderful. Miguel did a follow up call right after the job was completed to ensure that all of our needs were met. An excellent experience.

Dont let them talk you into a higher grade of paint.The Low VOC Sherwin Williams paint can be matched with any paint color. The paint smell is negligible and a quality product.

So... Then I got a follow-up call from Greg (of Patriot) to schedule the job. I told him due to the cold temps I would be waiting til spring for warmer weather (Deck staining should be done in very warm conditions for the stain to properly absorb into the wood). Greg then tried to scare me into doing it soon (this is December mind you) because the prices of stain could go up dramatically next year (or so he said). First of all, I doubt the prices will change much. Secondly, even if they went up a fair amount, the stain in a small part of the expense. Most of the expense being labor. So in short, I don't appreciate this type of unethical pressure type sales. I will be having that other co. that I got a bid from do the work (A Brush With Success). Rich from this co. actually suggested I wait for warmer weather to get the best job. I appreciate that kind of honesty.

We had them do all of our exterior first--several windows are unable to be opened, and several others had paint peeling off from the first few months. We aren't experienced homeowners, so we thought that fell within the margin of error, so we went ahead and hired them to paint all of our interior trim and doors. They were dark brown stained, with a waxy coating for a finish. We asked everyone from the estimator, to the project manager, to the painters themselves to be sure that everything would be sanded down first to make sure the job would be durable. For the entire project one lonely sanding block sat in a corner and not one single surface was sanded--they were not even so much as wiped down!!! I hadn't bothered to clean them up in advance because they were going to be sanded, so I didn't see the point. There are now hairs and dust forever painted into every surface that they painted. It nearly goes without saying that it doesn't look good, and it certainly is not holding up well. There is roughly one new large chip or chunk out of it every week, and we're not exactly running a roller derby in here. Repairing the spots results in very uneven surfaces. And yes, after I came home and saw some results, I contact the project manager again, who said "of course, it has to be sanded or it won't last". Yes, of course. Never done. They were by far the cheapest estimate, and now I'm sure why. I thought at first I shouldn't give a poor review because perhaps if you choose the least expensive estimate, you get what you deserve; it's taken me two years of living with this horrible interior trim job to realize that they still should have done what they said they would and could.

The bidding process was very professional. This is a big company with a lot of commercial jobs so you have to be flexible with a small one day job. They fit us in we'll before the date quoted. Carissa, the color consultant, worked with our challenging schedule and was very helpful with narrowing down colors. We LOVE the colors we chose. They really compliment the brick. Nelson and Elvis were very professional. They asked questions whenever needed and completed everything as we asked. We would hire this company again.

Overall I was impressed with crew. Just good people wanting to do a good job. In addition, we thought the price was very competitive. The delay in starting the job was a negative, but did not impact the entire experience too much and it was due to weather.
