MZ Electric

A year after installation we used a GFCI for the first time and it was faulty - the load function worked but the line feed failed. Upon pulling the outlet we noticed a large crack in the plastic. We did not get the impression the outlet was tested after installation because the likelihood of a GFCI cracking/breaking while not in use is quite low. I kindly emailed MZE requesting they reimburse me $15 for the cost of the outlet and the best they could do was apologize for the inconvenience.

Phil and Kevin were awesome. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. They didn't mind that my pugs "helped" them. Fast, clean work. Checked with me every step of the way to ensure it was just the way I (well, really, my wife) wanted it. Took care with furnishings, walls and carpets. They showed me what they were doing and explained things very well. The fan was one set price; the basement light was on an hourly basis, and it was quick. Not the least expensive, but far lower than some. I wanted quality and feel I received it. The office staff were extremely helpful during our research phase and in setting up the appointment - which we had to change twice - and very accommodating. My only complaint would be that it was extremely hard to get hold of them by phone, though the email worked very well. I get the feeling Tara doesn't leave for the day until the inbox is empty. All in all a good experience and I highly recommend.

The job took 3 technicians and total of 16 man hours over one and half days. They provided Decora materials at separate charge. I provided fans and light fixtures. Had good communication with Tara, and was able to get into their schedule with 10-14 days advance arrangement. I am pleased with their work and dealing with them was pleasant. They were careful when installing the new fans to make sure that the ceiling connection was heavy duty enough. I still have one light connection that needs to be changed and will schedule to get it done later on. I would recommend them.

Great and would highly recommend their service. Prompt response for request for services - prompt arrival - accurate quotes for work requested. Professional and observant of surroundings - notified us that incorrect connections were found which was from previous electrical work when house was remodeled prior to our purchase of the home. Their service and clean up is by far the best I have seen when using contractors. Being in the customer service organization - their customer attention, detail and service is outstanding.

We purchased a house in highlands ranch that was built in the early 80's. Not terribly old but it definitely needed an overhaul including a new electrical panel. We knew we were in for a big expense with this project so we got multiple bids from electricians that we found on Angie's List. Not only did MZ come in and offer an economical and affordable price, I was comfortable with their honesty and confidence. Scheduling time was very reasonable considering other bids were about a month or so out. They were clean, punctual and professional. Overall they did an outstanding job addressing all of our requests and we are very happy with the job done. Next spring we're planning on addressing our landscape lighting for the front and back yard and will definitely be using MZ Electric again!

I phoned MZelectric on July 16 and arranged for someone to come out July 23. Kevin arrived as scheduled. He removed the old light fixture, pulled the wiring through a new opening a foot or more above the old and installed a new light fixture I had bought. I needed the new fixture as close to the ceiling as possible to make room for the lights to shine over a new surface mount medicine cabinet a plan to have installed. Kevin did a good job. He charged just what I was told would be the price when I called for the appointment.

This was a sensational exterience. Keith came to provide an estimate and walked me through everything they would need to do. The guys who did the work were professional and knew their business. I ended up getting more room rewired thatn initially suspected and it cost right at the estimate.

We needed a ceiling light installed in the finished basement of an early '60's house we had recently purchased. We anticipated that running the lines and making the hook-up's would take some work. We were correct.We called MZ Electric based on their proximity and their reviews in Angie's List. They contacted us promptly, and the service was arranged for 7 a.m. two days hence. They stuck to their listed hourly rate, with the Angie's discount, and were up front in explaining beforehand what other work and charges appeared necessary. Nothing was done without their clearing it with us.The result was over four hours work including his quick run to the store for another part we requested when the work was nearly complete. There were no holes for us to patch, no spots to paint, nothing to pick up off the floor. That light is exactly where we wanted it, and the connections are safer now than they were originally. All of that was done with professional skill and courtesy very apparent.We will be keeping MZ's information on-file!

I am a returning MZ Electric Customer and I'm very glad Keith was able to schedule my work as fast as he did.Kevin showed up exactly as scheduled and we walked through the locations for the GFI outlets and new light fixture. Kevin got right down to business and was very diligent to ware shoe covers to protect my carpeting. He sized up the project and instantly knew his MOP (method of procedure). He finished EVERYTHING in jet lightning time, and he even took the time to evaluate a major future project where I plan on moving all my house circuits from the outside breaker panel to a new panel in the basement. Don't let the jet lightning pace of work raise any questions whatsoever as MZ does top of the line quality work. Kevin was very fastidious about all the details and even made the work look easy in the process. His laser focus allowed for no mistakes and the finished quality was beyond outstanding. There was no lack of friendly courtesy to top it all off. MZ Electric could not possibly be any more professional than they already are. I've worked in the high-tech industry for over 30 years and I am fanatical about expertise, attention to detail, and the highest quality. MZ Electric has all that in spades. They are the professionals that professionals turn to. Anyone looking for the best quality electrical work at a very reasonable cost, need look no further than the folks at MZ Electric. Service like this is all too rare these days and MZ has a way of inspiring total trust and never letting you down for counting on them.

Everything was very good. He showed up on time and completed the work quickly. I thought each outlet was going to need a GFI but instead they made all outlets in the garage run to a GFI plug saving me quite a bit of cash. Responsive and helpful. Will call again when needed.

Installed dimmers and hung up light fixtures. The dimmers were defective and the electrician worked thru the issue, testing and replacing them until everything was functioning properly. | |Kevin, the electrician was very professional and a nice guy. A pleasure to have in our home to do work.

It was fine. They were good except that they forgot an outlet. I had to call them back actually.

Electrician was very thorough when checking all electrical connections, ground. He even went in the crawl space and verified that there were no wires exposed that could be touching cable. He left his number with my tenant so that Comcast installer could call him when he returned to connect cable. I was very pleased. They came out quickly and did a great job. I will use them again in the future.

We were in the middle of moving two walls and found a hidden junction box full of live wires. Keith came out the next day, gave us a bid and told us he could start the following day. We got a few other bids. One was about $500 less and another was about $1500 more. He started the day after we made a decision and was able to complete the project in a day. His service was excellent, his team did a good job, and the cost was reasonable considering it was a last minute job. We will definitely consider MZ Electric for future jobs.

MZ was recommended by our neighbor. We originally received a bid from MZ in October 2012. The bid was higher than we were expecting so we stalled on doing any work. We also weren't definite on which projects we would proceed with versus those that we would hold off on. We ended up holding off on all projects for quite a while. In October 2013 we finally decided on how we wanted to move forward. I contacted MZ and provided details about changes to the bid. MZ promptly provided a rework of the bid and we scheduled the work. Good job.

They did an excellent job. They wired three of the rooms. They did a good job and cleaned up well. They took time to explain to me how the remotes work.

the job was perfect, they were in and out in under 2 hours, clean up the mess, i will have them back for other work
