MZ Electric

We noticed the business hours were M-F so we waited from Friday to give them a call on Monday. We got a voice mail saying we would be contacted within 24 hours. It's now almost 3pm on Monday and I'm thinking I need to call another service provider. I have no idea what they charge or when they can do it. We just signed up for Angie's list and this is the first provider we've contacted. It seems to us that the for a top rated provider for this service on Angie's list, we would have hoped that if they are closed on the weekends, on Monday, they wouldn't make us wait until Tuesday just to contact us. I am now looking for another provider because I'm afraid to wait until Tuesday to speak with someone.

I am so happy with the great service. Kevin did some repair work for me and then as a b-day gift for my elderly neighbor/friend I wanted her to have a door bell she could hear. Her home is a bit older as was the door bell. Kevin installed a new chime in the front room along with a second chime in her kitchen. It was no easy feat! He was up and down that ladder more times than she could count and remained positive and professional the whole time. Most people may have given up in frustration but this young man was determined to give her great service and a product that she could hear. He and Keith made sure the chime was a pleasing sound and not a buzz that would stun her when it rang. Very thoughtful and professional. Thank you so very much !! Dawn W

I will definitely call MZ Electric for any future needs. I was impressed with Kevin's professionalism, courtesty and how quickly he handled the fan repair and light fixture installation. Kevin diagnosed the maddening noise in the ceiling fan and promptly had it solved... very creatively. I had struggled for days with finding the source of the noise.

After a storm damaged my vacation home I was without electricity. Making matters worse was the fact that I lived in another state over 1100 miles away and was going to have to arrive at my home in the dark and without any idea what was needed. I called Keith at MZ electric and he quickly returned my call and gave me an estimate of the date and time he would arrive to do the work. After a couple of E-mails back and forth we set a date to get the work done. The date the work was scheduled I received a call from Keith who had not only done the work but gone "the extra mile" to double check everything to insure that IREA would not have any issues reconnecting my power. I might add that finding my place at 9300 feet in the mountains was no easy chore but Keith took the job anyway and did everything at a fair price and even took the time to give me a follow up call and explain the repairs in detail and did this after regular business hours! Rarely in this day and age do you find a service company that not only honors it's promises but does everything on time at a fair price, my highest recommendations to MZ electric.

I spoke with Ryan on the phone, who was very courteous and helpful. He took down the details of the job and said Keith, the owner, would call me to discuss details. Keith called as planned and we worked out pricing and terms over the phone. Kevin and Sean arrived on time, at 7am on a Monday morning, ready to work. They got started right away installing ceiling fan junction boxes in the upstairs bedrooms. They brought plastic sheeting to cover the beds and floors so the sheetrock dust would not fall on everything as they cut into the ceiling. They finished four rooms upstairs, explained the wiring and moved on to the downstairs room. The downstairs living room was set to be the toughest room because they would not have the benefiit of there being an attic to easily run wires from the wall to the junction box in the ceiling. Of course my joists ran across the line between where we wanted the switches and junction box. They explained they had to cut into the drywall and drill through each joist, one at a time, until they reached the location where the junction box would go. I knew I would need drywall repair beforehand, as Keith explained up front. They then installed a new outlet in my garage, and checked the breaker box, correcting an existing issue with some of the neutral wires before wrapping up. I paid them, and they were on there way. From end to end the whole organization acted professionally. I am very pleased, would call them again and would recommend them in an instant.

Workers and owner arrived on time (even a little early) and the 4 of them spent one full day on job, completing job about 8 hours later. All workers were very professional. Reasonably priced.

Great job ! I can't say enough about the top notch quality of service. Keith and his crew were punctual, professional & communicative. They explained everything, made sure they understood what I wanted/needed and were very patient in explaining everything to me. Excellent workmanship, very neat/clean work. They went far and above good customer service. I am so pleased !!

MZ Electric was awesome! Their quote was much more competitive than several others I received--I was able to get several electrical issues taken care of on top of the upgrade to 200-amp service for the same price as other companies were quoting for only the service upgrade. Keith was extremely responsive and communicative through the whole process, from coming out to give a bid (talking me through several options) through to the final inspection. MZ Electric took care of all the permitting and scheduling the inspection very soon after the work was completed, so I didn't have to do anything other than be at the house to let the workers in. All of the work, including the service upgrade, was completed in one day. Everything looks really great; I couldn't be more pleased with how easy and affordable the entire project ended up being. I would recommend MZ Electric without hesitation.

Kevin and Derek arrived on time and after reviewing the work order, got quickly to work. They put two light fixtures in the crawl space, converted a switch to an outlet, replaced a broken switch, raised a kitchen light fixture, fixed a broken porch light, checked the wiring on several fixtures and gave general advice regarding usage. They were courteous and maintained a neat work area. I was very happy with their service and would use them again in the future.

Great. They were on time, responsive, and very professional and efficient. They even shoveled my walk so they wouldn't track snow into the house!

MZ Electric was able to schedule us the same week we called. Two electricians arrived on time and immediately began to troubleshoot the problem. They systematically worked through all of the outlets and switches to narrow down which switch it was that was controlling the short. It turned out to be a switch leg for an abandoned outside light that we no longer had. They were able to capture the wire ahead of the trip and installed an outdoor weather proof outlet at the font of the house. This was an added request we had not initially inquired about but they had the part available and agreed this would be a good solution for the switch that was otherwise useless. This was a bonus upgrade as we did not already have an outdoor outlet in the front. Both electricians were professional and worked efficiently and answered any questions we had. We would call this company again.

The electricians Kevin and Fred were exceptional to work with. Understood our needs and answered any questions we had. They were both professional during their time ar our house. Many kudos to both of them. The owner Keith was a pleasure to deal with. He was able to arrange the appointment schedule to meet our needs. We were very happy with the services MZElectric provided and would reccomend them to someone else.

All points of contact and service went better than I had expected. Initial phone call was answered immediately Work was scheduled to be done in less than a week from call Kevin, the electrician, was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. He cleaned up all of his work area as well! Work was done as quoted, including the Angie's List discount) and in a timely manner. We will use MZElectric the next time we have a need for an electrician.

Sean arrived promptly Friday morning at 7 AM and began work. He worked straight through the day without taking a break. He did the entire job himself and about nine hours later, everything was working fine. Owner Keith showed up midway through the day to check on the progress. Sean came back for some follow up work Monday. He even replaced a bad pull switch light in my utility room at no charge. The price was exactly as estimated. Keith and MZ Electric are a top of the line company as far as I am concerned. Keith is very accessible even after hours. They are a busy company and Keith may not be able to get back to you immediately, but he always returns calls within a few hours. In this major repair, Keith understood that I was selling my house and made sure that everything was done in short order to meet an upcoming closing date. The same professional attitude was present even with the earlier, smaller repairs that other companies might shun. I strongly recommend MZ Electric.

I was very happy with my experience with the MZ Electric people. I talked to Keith on the phone to discuss what might be needed, and he gave the information to Kevin who came out to do the work. He brought all the necessary parts with him. Everything is working well now. He was patient in explaining what was needed and why, and in answering any questions I had. We also looked at what might be involved in doing some additional (optional) work in the future.

The work went well. Rich was able to locate the junction box for the light switches pretty easily. This was good fortune because it saved having to hunt around for the box. They were very professional and pleasant to work with. I'm sorry I didn't have the additional new outdoor light fixtures in hand for them to install because I now have to have them come out for a second trip.

Kevin arrived on time and completed the work in a very efficient manner. Because of another previously scheduled appointment, he wasn't able to finish everything in the originally alotted time, but was able to come back later the same day and finish the work. He was pleasant, considerate, and professional. We would recommend him and will use MZ Electric again in the future if a need arises.

Our lights dimmed every time we turned on the microwave when the furnace was on. They told us it was our microwave. We got a new one and everything is fine now.

Keith and his crew were exceptional. They were not only professional and thoughtful throughout the process, they demonstrated a very high-level of knowledge and understanding of their trade. As I told Keith, he not only knew his game, it was clear he was a student of it -- he had studied and deeply understood the complexities of his craft. Furthermore, he ran into some unforeseen snags with the county and permitting and took it upon himself to make sure it was all done right -- even so far as coming back to make sure we were happy and that the county got all that they preferred from the permit to sign off on it. The crew was efficient and worked quickly and thoroughly. They were trustworthy and respectful of our home, our time, and our budget, as well. I would highly recommend them, top-to-bottom, and feel very fortunate that I found them for this project. We plan on using them again this year for some other projects coming down the pipe.
